And told everyone.
I think that telling my Dad last night just kind of opened the floodgates. People at church today were asking. Then we were talking to my IL's on Skype tonight, but still planning to keep it from them for 2 more weeks. I have been "off camera" chatting with them on Sunday nights for a few weeks now, while the kids and DH are on camera, and I think they suspected something. FIL said "Is Sandra even there?" cause he couldn't see me and I wasn't talking much. Finally we decided to just go for it so I just walked in front of the camera with a belly profile. LOL! They said they had been wondering and suspecting because I hadn't been on camera for a few weeks. They were shocked when they found out how far I am.
Then we decided to go for the whole shabang and we Skyped my mom. I think she was a little bit miffed when I stood up and displayed the belly! "SANDRA!" in a sort of exasperated tone I think she was mad that I hadn't told her yet! So I am glad we didn't wait til Christmas when I'll be 18 weeks!!! (Phew). Then it was all about making so many phone calls and texts - my sisters, my brother, my sister in law, DH's grandparents....all that is left is my two grandmas. I will call them tomorrow and we will be DONE! and I can announce on Facebook and be done with all the secretive drama!
Kind of a liberating day
YAY for telling! I get SO jealous when I see people telling! When Patience came out on FB the other day I was so jealous!
I would have loved to see your in-law's reaction when you popped on in full profile.
I bet your mom would have been upset had you waited until after 18 weeks. My high school friend who lives far away didn't tell me until 21 weeks or so and I was crushed. That being said, she 'told me' by posting on her SISTER"S facebook wall saying "I've popped in the last week". Of course i'm friends with her sister and she knew I'd see. It seemed so weird and it really upset me.
Anyways....I'm glad you're out and I'm VERY envious!
Yeah, this weekend I'm sure most everyone in town knows about us! Once it gets out it spreads like wildfire. I haven't posted anything on Facebook yet, and anyone that has said anything about it on Facebook has messaged me privately. If it was up to me, and possible, we would be like the couple in the movie Four Christmases at the end of the movie!
It is kind of a complicated plot. Basically a couple hates to spend time with their family. So at Christmas they tell their families that they are doing charity work abroad, but are actually vacationing. Their flights get cancelled and their familes find out, so they are kinda forced to spend time with their familes. Yada, yada, yada. Along the way she finds out she is pregnant. The very ending of the movie she is in the hospital and has had the first baby of the new year and the local news station comes to do a piece. The familes end up finding out that she was even pregnant by seeing the story on the news!

Oooh, I think I saw that now that you tell me! That was funny when they were on tv when they were in the airport. Didn't flights get cancelled from weather or something? LOL. I loved that. Sort of made me want to run away every Christmas. Now that my brother jumped ship (aka moved to the other side of the continent) and my mom is single...I sort of wouldn't feel right leaving her alone.
I liked that movie too
Just have to call my Grandma's this morning. Then I can 'out' on Facebook and feel so relieved! I have FB friends who are also due in June and have already announced, so I'm definitely ready to get this don with!
