Wow I can't imagine keeping my almost two year old occupied all day without my dd around. He had a hard enough time when she was at preschool for 3 hours! But the good news is you can go out and do things with "only" 2 kids! Sorry your house is a disaster. I am neurotic about cleaning but I understand how when you fall behind it is so dang hard to get caught back up. Is your MIL someone who will help you clean? My mom and MIL live nearby so neither would ever stay with us but if we were in a situation where they did, my MIL would clean a ton and my mom would add to any existing mess. Oh and congrats on your first outing without baby! Haven't done that yet myself.

DH is out on a "date" with DD going to see the new Monsters, Inc. movie so it's just me and the boys. Thinking as soon as DS1 wakes up from his nap we'll go get some errands done.

    Oh man! Rock hard breasts!

My 3 year old doesn't play alone. She has never had to! Daycare all day, then us at night. This is going to be a LONG year. Luckily I have lots of friends with 3 year olds to visit with. We will need daily play dates!

I'm going out in a bit. Shhhhhhhh. The midwife would flip. My friend moved 2 blocks from here and it's her housewarming party/BBQ. Hubby will drive me there, set up a chair and I will sit. I don't get how that's different than sitting here. :P

Heather: sorry about the hard breasts. Hang in there, they've got to be coming close to that sweet relief soon! And I won't tell that you went out! I am one of those people who HAS to get out of my house a lot so I was out running quick errands about 4 days PP. As long ad baby boy is in a carrier then no one gets close and I'm comfortable with it.

Speaking of "breaking the rules", I rode my spin bike for the first time since giving birth yesterday and my legs are beat today but otherwise I feel surpringly energetic. I really want to go run but I'm going to try to wait a bit longer since it's higher impact. I might be crazy but it feels so good to run without a huge belly! I question what my OB would say but I feel almost "normal" at this point.

Wait, what? You aren't supposed to go out? Hahaha. That won't work here! I'll be back to taking the kids to swim within 48 hours. I don't have a choice!

Hummmm, I've always been out within 48 hours, if not 24! As for running... definitely avoid Ashley. Did you know that because the uterine muscles haven't had a chance to regain their strength yet, that doing things like jumping on a trampoline (and probably to some extent running as well) can actually cause your uterus or bladder to FALL OUT?!?! Yep, it can. In fact, I had a friend whose bladder DID fall out at 6 weeks pp! Yep, surgery to put the thing back in!!! Sandra, wow, that will probably be fun for your older kids to have a little vacation (and to some extent for you too). All my kids would freak out if they had to be separated from each other for that long. SInce they are homeschooled, they are use to being with each other all the time, and they would feel bad (and miss) the ones that couldn't be there with them. I admit that I would struggle to entertain the small ones too. They all play so well together, it would definitely create some different dynamics around here. I couldn't do it.

It will be interesting for sure. I hope the weather is nice - then I can wear Ethan and let Emerson play outside. So far we have had a super rainy summer. All that flooding that you may be hearing about in Southern Alberta is a few hours south of me, but we've had crazy rain here so far too. Hopefully it is nice enough to be making trips to the park. My big 2 will have an awesome time - they'll be spending time with a cousin who they haven't seen in nearly a year, and my IL's lakehouse is super fun - Grandpa has a boat, there's a trampoline, a new swingset, RV's to ride (with grown up's, obviously!), campfires, the beach....I can't wait to join them!

Uhhh......yeah, let's please avoid having anyone's bladder fall out.

I actually have a friend who works in a doctors office and they had an older patient come in whose uterus was falling out. Yikes. So yeah good point, I'll stick to the bike and walking for a few more weeks! I'd like my organs to stay in place. :P

Thinking of taking the kids to the zoo today. What does everyone else have going on?

Just a usual Sunday around here. Church this afternoon. I should probably think about supper right now because we get home from church pretty hungry so I like to do most of the supper prep in the morning.

Reading up on baby positions and stretches. Just discovered we've got a sunny side up kiddo in there (realized I can feel hands / sucking thumb up front). So stretching and trying to rotate. Could be what's causing the pain AND the sloooow progress thus time around from what I'm reading.

Otherwise, it's hanging out. Survived teaching my class this morning and I'm exhausted. We didnt get home from the drive in last night until 2:30.

Church this morning for us. Then my oldest went over to a friend's house. DH just went into town for a few errands. The 2 "older babies" (my 1 and 3 year old) just went down for a nap. Actually the "little" baby is napping too... so that leaves me with only my 5 and 6 year olds awake. Ahhhhhhh, so peaceful around here with just those 2. Lunch is cleaned up, laundry is sorted and put away... now what to do with myself?!?! I suppose there is always more cleaning to do... nah, that can wait.
