My kids fight like crazy some days, but when one of them is gone for even a couple of hours, the other one gets so bored!

We have been to church, had to take lunch to the field, and visited DH's grandmother. We have been home a total of maybe 1.5 hours today. I really need a slow day to clean up my house!

Ashley - I can't wait to move past the rock hard breasts! Today is a bit better, but still there. My left nipple is still bleeding a bit, ugh! I nurse through the pain but it's bad. M is swallowing blood too. Awesome. It's great when your baby spits up blood milk on your guests. :P You're so crazy. I wish I found exercise mildly fulfilling. Sigh.

Rachelle - I lost a LOT of blood and my iron is dangerously low. I fainted in the hospital and they were really worried about me. All I can do is feed M. I can't cook. I can't clean. I can't care for K. I can't go out. I pretty much have to do nothing to allow my body to replenish my blood. It's hard but it's for the better. Most of the time I feel like poop anyways so I wouldn't be going out at all.

Laurie - we were talking about bladders falling out at the hospital last week. Apparently you can buy plugs to keep it all in. Old ladies who don't want to have surgery go to their doctors when their bladder falls out and have him shove it back in before inserting the plug. Gross, right?

Sandra - we've had a pretty rainy time here too. Ugh. I'm sort of ready for sun but it's easier to do nothing when it's rainy. The flooding is crazy!

Things here are OK. We had a couple visitors to see M today. DH's sister came with her 9 and 6 yr old boys. K had so much fun playing with her cousins. During the visit I started to get dizzy and hit my wall of exhaustion so I went up to bed. M was happily asleep in SIL's arms so I left him there. When DH woke me to feed M I was SO disoriented. LOL.

I love how M sleeps through so much. K and her cousins were seriously running laps of the house screaming and laughing. He just slept. So great!

Hubby put M in the Ergo for the first time yesterday. They both loved it! M slept so well that I started leaking milk everywhere! I had to have DH take him out to nurse. He has since been in the Ergo twice more and fell asleep so cozy both times.

I feel hot constantly. Isn't that how our bodies shed all the extra fluid? Anyways, it's annoying. I hope it's hot a fever from some crazy infection or something.

Heather--I remember with both kids having terrible hot flashes and being drenched I. Sweat all the Time. I think it's a combo of shedding fluids and hormones regulating back to normal.

I am never having this baby. He is not coming out. I'm so down right now it's not even funny. The worst part is I adore my doctor and he's going on vacation next Monday and I'm going to end up with a stranger after all this effort to find the greatest doctor ever. Also awful is that I think on Friday he is going to offer to induce me on Sunday (39 weeks by his records but not mine) and I am going to say no. I am unbelievably miserable but not miserable enough to endure an induction. And I realize tha at 4cm and 50% effaced and head engaged, I'm halfway there already but... I just don't think I can handle being induced. My friend goes to him and she will be 39 weeks on Wednesday and she is being induced that day. He will only do it if your cervix is extremely favorable like mine is and my friend is also at 4 and 80%. I'm a little jealous but T the same time I'm not. I've done it both ways and labor starting on its own was far more pleasant in every way.

Margaret - that's crazy! I've heard of delivering the baby in the sac but never in the uterus. Crazy!

Rachelle - I've been really worried about you darlin'. You have had such a rough pregnancy from the get-go and the latter part has been horrid! I wish I could get that baby out for you. Sigh

Hard to believe M is a week old! He was only up twice in the night to eat but went straight back to bed. I think that's pretty good for a newborn. I can handle being up once or twice a night. The naps I had yesterday sure were worth their weight in gold. I've been having a bath in Epsom salt every night. Last night was the first night where I didn't fall asleep in the tub! Also, after the bath I used up my remaining energy to help DH sort laundry and organize M's dresser. Since we didn't know his sex there were boy, girl and neutral drawers. Then we got totes of boy clothes from a friend and so the dresser was overflowing. Hubby didn't know where to start! Glad it's done now.

I'm not sure I mentioned it here yet but my friend with a son K's age had a girl June 1, so when we had a boy, the trade was on! The morning after M came home she brought over a tote of all her son's 0-6 month clothes and she took the same size of our girly clothes! How awesome is that? We're just lending them so once they outgrow them we'll trade back, then I'll sell my girl stuff.

I'm still in bed but I feel I bit more normal so far. *fingers crossed*

Her uterus followed the baby out. She lost a lot of blood and I remember her having to take huge doses of iron with orange juice to get her iron stores back. Vitamin C is supposed to help with the absorption of iron.

That is awesome you have a friend to trade clothes with. My friend had a boy 8 weeks before Robbie and I would get her hand me downs, with Robbie being so small and her son so big we still get things from her.

    Glad you are feeling better.

So handy to have a friend to swap clothes with! I swapped with my SIL. I had DD, 9 months later, she had a boy, 9 months later, I had DS1. So she lent me her boy clothes. Then we both had babies in November of 2011 - she had a girl, and I had DS2. So my niece wears all of my DD's clothes and I took the boy stuff back again for our last 2 boys. I wish I got to use our girl stuff again though!

Rachelle, you are being such a trooper! I know how you feel being so uncomfortable but not wanting to face an induction. I can't believe you have been sitting at 4 cm for so long, and you've been so active! It's crazy your body hasn't decided to just do the real thing yet.

Today DH is back to work full time and my MIL doesn't arrive until tomorrow night. Ethan was up a TON last night so both DH and I will struggle to get through today! I am trying to get my house in semi-decent shape before MIL arrives. She is the type who will totally be willing to clean for me, but I don't want to be in a complete state of disaster, I'd be embarrassed.

Heather, I've been worried about you. Rough recoveries are no fun. But I'm sure you will be feeling great in no time! As for me, I am just worried that I don't feel strong enough, emotionally or physically, to deliver a baby right now. I just feel like I don't have it in me at the moment. Hopefully that changes in the next few days.

Who saw Monsters University this weekend? I love a good Disney movie! It was really cute and I thought it taught a good lesson, too.

Sandra, good luck with your time between help! I feel like I need to clean like crazy before my mom gets here Monday but mostly because once she gets here, the house will be a disaster. She tries to help but... Her help is less than helpful!

Story of my life. I'm taking so many iron supplements right now and I'm burning through the orange juice. Apparently it can take MONTHS to get back to normal. ugh!

Sandra - I hear ya on the girl stuff. It's all so sweet looking! I will be sad when it comes time to sell DD's clothes. I'll probably keep a few favorites. Ugh, sounds like you're having a rough go. Having MIL over is always more stressful than your own mom. I don't mind my mom cleaning my house for me but it feels weird when my MIL does it. I feel more insulted or embarrassed when MIL does it. Our house isn't super tidy but it's presentable. DH has been good at picking up toys and stuff. Our midwife actually doesn't want your house too clean when she comes to visit because that means you're doing too much! LOL. So funny.

Rachelle - I'm doing ok. I feel more normal today, we'll see how long that lasts. I think I'm finally catching up on sleep. DH is up in bed still with M in his bassinet. DD and I are watching TV downstairs. It's nice for her to have some mommy time. Your life is so GO GO GO, no wonder you're tired!!! Is there any way you can get some down time? Maybe have a friend/family member take the kids to some of their activities or cut back on a few things until after baby is here. Perhaps a bit of down time is what your body needs to eject that wee tenant?

My mom is on her way over to play with DD for the day. M's newborn photos are on Wednesday and I need to knit him a monogram hat before then. I made one for DD and I want one for him too! This is K in her hat when she was wee:
