When I'm pg...

...I'm like a real girl! Emotional and CRAZY! I hate it!

I'm normally a pretty logical person...after all, I'm a software developer! I don't normally let emotions get to me and find it odd that other women do. I'm starting to think maybe I have some strange hormone imbalance normally and when I'm pg it's normal. LOL.

Anyways, so ya, I'm having some emotional days over here. How do you ladies keep it all in check and not go crazy?

The first couple of weeks I was like that.. crying at every movie I'd already seen and not cried over lol I got mad a lot faster.. but it seems to be leveling out. Just hang on for a little bit longer Smile

Last night hubby and I had the following conversation:

Hysterical laughter - Him
"What?" - Me
"You're just so mean." - Him
"I know I'm sorry, I kind of want to kill you". - Me
"I know". - Him
"If it makes you feel better, I kind of want to kill everyone". - Me
"Ya, I know". - Him
"I feel like I'm teetering on the edge of insanity". (Sobs) - Me
"I love you, it's ok". - Him

Sooooo, I guess I'm not the best one to ask ...

Lauren, my convo's generally go like this:

Me: *puke*
Him: *silence*
Me: *puke/sob* I'm so sorry!
Him: Baby you can't help it
Me: *puke* but you look mad and I'm really sorry! *cry*
Him: It's okay baby
Me: *puke* I know you're trying to watch t.t...t....t...tv *cry very loud*
Him: Baby... *hugs me*

Yep. That's about it. LOL

I'm generally pretty logical and level headed as well, but I am a grumpy mess right now, especially when it starts to get late and I can barely keep my eyes open. Poor kids and DH and dog...haha At least the 2nd tri I get more "normal" when I start feeling better!

I have thought that about myself several times too!

I am definitely more annoyed, some days are better than others. Today has been an ok day. There are some days that I am so grouchy and I want to just stop, but I can't!

I thought a lot of things about that conversation, but somewhere between possible homocide and trying not to laugh from the ubserdity sweet didn't cross my mind! Thanks for the perspective!

One of the guys I work with always comes in and goes ... "How's the crazy pregnant lady doing today?" and when I'm in a bad mood, that totally does NOT help.

Misery loves company! Thanks so much ladies. I'm glad I'm not alone.

I'm not as weepy as before...but right now the little things other people do are annoying me. I had some women with obvious anger issues get upset on a FB post for something I said when I didn't mean anything by it. I can totally see how she read it wrong, but her reaction was a wee bit over the top. Also, this morning I found out someone else un-friended me on FB. We weren't super close or anything and she was a bit annoying...but it still hurts more than in should. Know what I mean? A month ago I was better at the whole 'water off a duck's back' thing.

I nearly LOST it this morning when the ultrasound lab called to re-schedule my test. NOooooo! But they just needed to change the time, not the day. PHEW.

Oh I'm always emotional, so nothing new here haha. But I get very sensitive when I'm pg and I am constantly reading into DH's mood too much and I keep saying "are you mad at me? What's wrong? Are you mad?" And he is always like, NO! Hahah.

I am always reallly emotional, and cry at almost anything. I have been feeling a lot more aggression lately, I want to just go to the range and shoot some stuff, but I can't which is causing me to be more upset.

I have been crying a lot more lately. The other day i got really mad over a small thing and DH and I talked it over and then he said
"you know what I just realized?"
"what" me
"your pregnant" DH
"yup..."me
"I keep forgetting. It explains a lot." DH

Yes, a LOT indeed. I sort of forget sometimes too. I never forgot with DD because we tries so long and I thought I'd never be pg. Now I'm just so busy...I forget sometimes.

DH doesn't understand or even try to understand.... He expects me to be the same as I normally am. You would think the third time he might realize.

I'm a lot like you Heather! Normally, I'm not real emotional. The worst for me is the last few weeks of the pregnancy. I tend to go a little crazy then... poor DH and kids. I also have some "issues" the first couple weeks pp. It's different from the pregnancy though. I tend to have a shorter temper when I'm pregnant, and I tend to be more "weepy" postpartum.
