Default When to use a pregnancy test?

I just called my doc's office to get in for bloodwork and was on their website to look up the number. I was browsing through the FAQ's...just because I don't have enough to do I guess...but anyway this was one of the FAQ's and the answer I found particularly amusing.

    Q. How long after intercourse should I use a pregnancy test?
    A. Home pregnancy tests are most accurate about 27 days after conception. This is when a menstrual period is 10 -12 days late. Newer pregnancy tests say you can use them one day after a missed period. If you suspect you are pregnant even though a home pregnancy test is negative, you should have an exam by a doctor.
    27 days!?! Really?

    Yeah right! Bwahhahhaaa

Sheez, have they met us? Clearly not!!

I'm surprised it's not like, "Skip the pregnancy test. If a baby arrives 40 weeks later, you were pregnant. Congratulations!"

LMFAO! I'm laughing SO hard about this one! DH is like "WHAT???" so I told him. Even HE giggles. Either the doctor's office is clueless or we really are crazy for testing at 6 dpo. :P
