Freaking out!

Hi ladies,

So appears as if AF might have started to pick up, but I decided to test anyway. I had some old test that I ordered on Amazon (I think they are Wondo Brand?!) anyway, first I thought it was a BFN, BUT then I saw a very very faint line!!!!!!! I mean this would be my FIRST EVER, so I'm not sure how dark it's supposed to be. SOOOO b/c it was an old test, I tested again on a First Response that I bought on Monday. AND SAME THING! A very very faint line. Sorry, I can't get a good pic, otherwise I would totally post for your opinions (I will if I figure it out!!)

so my question to you all - does it matter HOW dark the line is, or just that there is a line?!?! DH won't be home for another 30 mins, and I'm FREAKING out, I want to show him to see if he sees the line too! AHHHHHHHH

I believe a line is a line. I would be calling your Dr's office, especially if you are bleeding.

I agree with the previous people. A line is a line and I would call the dr to figure out why you're bleeding.

Well I went out and bought a Clear Blue Digital, b/c I wanted to see the words Pregnant. (also to convince DH, as he doesn't truly think that a line means I'm pregnant - and YES he did see a line on BOTH test) Well it said "Not Pregnant" Sad Perhaps b/c it's not as sensitive as FR? I don't have a lot of experience with home test?!?!?! Also my urine was diluted as I just worked out, and drank A LOT of water in such a short time frame. I'm still bleeding, but only when I wipe, pink in color. I'm going to test again in the morning, and call DOC asap. (or might even stop by, as it's located in the hospital where I work)
Thank you everyone for your advice - FX! and Prayers please!!! Smile

Clear Blue detects 50 I believe, FRER detects 25, If I'm correct. So, The digitals aren't a sensitive as the basic tests. I'd give it a day or 2 and do another digital to show him. But CONGRATS!!!

I would wait and check your FMU rather than depending on diluted mid-day pee. A line is a line, not like with an OPK where the test line has to be darker than the control.

Sounds promising...KIP!

HI Ladies, I think I figured out how to post a pic!!

So this was done yesterday around 430. I tested again at night on internet cheapie, and got a faint line. I tested again this morning using FR and cheapie with FMU, and saw another line, BUT the lines are lighter than yesterday....that makes me nervous. Bleeding hasn't picked up. and doc doesn't open for another 30 mins!!!

So I called the doc and because I'm an infertility patient, and having some spotting, the RN told me to come over for bloodwork (Beta & Progesterone) Should have the results this afternoon! I'm super nervous, and bleeding hasn't stopped. The RN said it was prob just IB if it's brown and no cramps...but sometimes it's pink, not yet red. I just want to comfirmation that I'm pregnant and not just seeing lines!

Too bad hubby will be away this weekend! Leaving after work today until Monday night!! We won't have any time to celebrate, or at least absorb the info!

Also, I'm planning on taking 2 fitness classes tomorrow! An hour each! Now I'm rethinking it if I am indeed pregnant, and having spotting....what do you all think? (I feel bad cancelling as you have to prebook the class, and I'm going with a friend, and don't want her to suspect anything)

If it was me I would skip the class. Because of the spotting. Just being pregnant wouldn't worry me but the bleeding i would avoid that kind of extra activity until it stops.

I got a faint BFP on FRER at 11dpo. It was not until 13dpo (if i recall correctly) that the digital test came up positive.

Well I POAS again Friday with FMU, and there was still a line, but it was much lighter...so I knew what was coming before the blood work confirmed it. No pregnancy. Sad By beta was so low to consider as a valid pregnancy (below 6). and then yesterday AF started hardcore. Doc wants me to come in tomorrow to see if I have a cyst on my ovary (since I started spotting about 11-12 DPO)
If there is a cyst, then I might have to take a month off Sad

IMO, I implanted late (9 DPIUI), but since I have such low progesterone (17.5 a week after the IUI) I started to spot, causing me to lose the pregnancy. Next month they want to monitor me (BW & US instead of just OPK before IUI), but I will insist on starting progesterone immediately after the IUI.

I don't know how to feel honestly. Should I be excited that I got pregnant? Or worried that something is wrong with me? Or does this such a common thing when TTC? I know that I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up since this was our first IUI, and knowing our chances, and that it can take several times. ...on to the next month...

I'm so sorry this month didn't work out for you. I would say for now focus on the fact that you did get pregnant! Lots of women have chemical pregnancies and have absolutely nothing wrong so I wouldn't worry until it is a recurring issue. Good luck next month!!

Thank you so much Becky for your kinds words! I'm feeling much better today. I spoke with a nurse this morning about being monitored, and I'm getting excited again.
