    Default April - Zoey's bloodwork?

April, you said that Zoey was supposed to get the bloodwork done on Thursday, right? How did that go? Did Zoey's regular doctor agree with the NP? And do you have any idea when you'll get results?

We've been praying for you both.

Thank you so much for thinking of us.

We actually didn't get the bloodwork until Saturday. The doctor did a bunch of research on all of her symptoms to see what she could come up with in terms of what to test for. So she's testing for things I wouldn't have even considered, like Lupus and heavy metal poisonings. The NP called Friday and said we could head to the hospital for the test, but I decided to do it Saturday morning when DH could come with me.

All I will say is that it is horrible to see a not-yet-2-year-old have a lot of blood taken. They actually nearly stopped because she was almost hyperventilating because she was so upset. It didn't help that they couldn't get anything from one arm and had to switch to the other. It was hard.

I don't know how long it will take. I'm assuming a week or so?

I'll let you all know when I know something. Again, thanks for thinking of us.

A had to have a little bit of blood drawn, along with 24 skin pricks for her allergy tests we did in January. That was bad enough, let me tell you. So when you said they were taking a lot of blood for Zoey, I figured it would probably be hard. I'm sorry it actually was.

    Poor little kid!

I have been thinking of you as well!

Have you decided on cord blood banking?

I don't know, 24 skin pricks don't sound pleasant either. Poor girl.

Getting blood from a baby is no fun.

It was horrible with Jeena and Maria has been a bit better but she had it taken again Friday and it was terrible but mostly because the tech kept missing the vein and wouldn't give up and go to the other arm until I told her to!

Hope the time passes quickly while you wait for the results! Hugs Mama!
