My poor Leah has the worst diaper rash. I noticed it last Friday and put Lotromin on it right away. I've noticed it hasn't changed and now there are blisters. I know now it has turned into a yeast infection. Every time she would pee she would grab her diaper and kinda wince. I finally had enough but it was a holiday so yesterday I called the dr. They had us go in last night and yep, a yeast infection. They prescribed her Nystatin and told me to use Butt Paste as well. I really hope it goes away quickly. Dr. said 3 to 4 days to see a change but next week it should be gone. Anyone else ever have this????
Izzie had a yeast infection about a year ago. We tried the nystatin for about a week and nothing changed so we ended upp having to do oral medication, which cleared things up in about 4 days. You probably already know this, but try to give her a lot of "naked butt" time. Hope things clear up for her soon!
Oh no. I hope it clears up quickly.

How's the rash doing? I know that sometimes yeast infections can turn into skin infections and an antibiotic is needed. Hope that it's clearing up!!

Poor girlHope it does clear up quickly!
Well girls I am very happy to report that the Nystatin is working like a charm. Its taking a little longer for the blisters to heal but the actual rash is basically gone. She is back to being a happy camper although now she takes her diaper off any chance she can. I think she liked the free time she had without it....lol
DD has had fungal infections on her butt before. We were prescribed Lotriderm. That and a nice thick coating of Ihle's Paste afterward did the trick in just a few days.
