BFP!!! followed by BFN :(

Today is CD43..... and still no AF. Not entirely unusual for me when I'm off BC. But yesterday I had brownish spotting and something told me to go get a test. So yesterday afternoon I SAW A LINE!!! It wasn't very dark... but it wasn't one of those crazy deals where you have to photoshop it in order to really see something. Now I wish I had taken a picture. This morning I wanted to test with FMU to confirm and get a darker result. NO LINE. And still no AF. Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!! Obviously I'm going to test again at some point today, but I'm at a complete loss as to why/how that could happen. Even if the pregnancy wasn't taking I would think that the hormones wouldn't just vanish. Plus... then where is AF?

Don't lose hope just yet. If AF shows up it would probably mean chemical pregnancy. Most women don't know they were ever pregnant in the first place, unless they're TTC and taking early tests.

I would wait a few days. False negatives are really common. False positives are not as common. I'd be more inclined to believe the first test rather than the second. Hang in there mama and KUP!

The way pregnancy tests work, each brand is sensitive to at least X amount of hCG. But sometimes you'll get a test that's extra sensitive. If your first test was really sensitive and your second was not, you could very easily get a BFP followed by a BFN - without your hormones dropping! GL... I'm anxiously awaiting an update. :-D

So of course I POAS again later this morning and saw a faint line... not as dark as yesterday afternoon. SOOOO I just went out to buy a digital and it was BFN. Still holding out hope.... and will probably POAS with the 2nd digital tomorrow morning!

Fingers still crossed!! I got a lot of BFN's with this LO too, my cycle is soooo off that I never exactly know when I'm due for AF. I tested one night BFN, tested the next day at lunch faint BFP

I've heard first thing in the morning is the best time to take the test. Your hormone levels would be higher.
