It's confession time....

Ok...I know I said I wouldn't do this with McKenzie, because it was so hard with Tyler....but...

Yep...she still has a bottle. Boo! Yes, it's her milk before bedtime...and it's the only milk she drinks all day.
I try to give her milk in a sippy or regular cup but she won't touch it. I worry because she isn't a very good eater, and I need to make sure she's getting the proper nutrients. I know, excuses, excuses. Smile She easily gave up her afternoon naptime bottle, but it's more me than her on this one. I enjoy that time right before bed, and since she is my last baby, I see it as such a bonding experience since we couldn't BF. I did the exact same thing with Tyler at 2, and took the bottle away, and he freaked out! He refused milk in every form, lost weight, and wouldn't eat, so that's a little of my reasoning too.

**Oh, and we still have a binky at sleeping times....grrrrr.

Please share your confessions....I need to know I'm not the only crazy mom out there! lol

Although I love to spend my weekends and days off with Hayleigh, I can't wait to go to work and I am dreading spending the next year with 2 kids by myself!

I am not meant to stay at home with my kids...

I'm really lazy when it comes to setting limits on Victoria's nursing. She knows that if she insists long enough, I'll just give in. She also still wakes to nurse a couple times/night, and I just can't be bothered to night-wean her. Like you said, she is my last baby, so a lot of it is my reluctance to let it go, even though I get annoyed with her constant requests to nurse.

mine is basically the opposite of yours, Bryn. Sean drinks milk ALL day, definitely what I'd say is too much, although the pediatrician didn't seem to think it was a big deal. but he always has a sippy of it, which is mostly our fault for not fighting him on it. however, we've never given him milk at bedtime (not since he was old enough to go all night without eating), and we do enforce no milk at bedtime, although he rarely even asks for it at bedtime now.. and if he does, he gets a sip before going to bed.. the milk doesn't go in the bedroom.

i will say the exception to that rule is right now because he's sick and i'm concerned about his hydration.. so i let him have milk in bed last night.

You aren't the only one!!! We still give Ethan a bottle but we limit it to ONLY naptime and bedtime. He still has a pacifier too but we are going to let him wean himself off that one. AND, we are still co-sleeping. We get him in his own bed but 60% of the time he is in our bed.

Hehehe I don't have to write my confession because you wrote it for me Ingrid!!! Wink Maria is the exact same way, or should I say, I'm the exact same way!

Well, as it turns out, we are likely moving to Edmonton in the next month or so, so we'll have to get Maria and Victoria together. I'm sure they'll have a lot in common to talk about Biggrin
