PT Check In

Has anyone started/finished?

DD isn't ready, but I'm interested to see if anyone else has had success at this early age and if so, how long did it take and are you 100% out of diapers?

DD goes in spurts. She'll go for a day when she doesn't need a diaper at all, then she'll go for weeks where she has absolutely no interest in the potty. But I'm not really pushing it - our main focus right now is weaning, and that's really taking all my energy.

Vance is fully potty trained has been since June. He hasn't worn diapers since, he even wears underwear at night. He was ready and fairly easy to train. I let him walk around the house naked and would ask him if he had to go potty, then he started going on his own.

Isabella is in denial that she will ever go potty. Sometimes she will tell me that her diaper is dirty, but for the most part she doesn't care. I really hope that she's easy to train once she's ready, but for now she is in diapers.

Lili hasn't shown any interest either. She thinks, farts, pee and poo are the same thing and will tell me she went, but not when she needs to go.

We are not ready either. Joey is starting to show interest. He is telling me when his diaper is wet/dirty. But I think it will be a little while until we are ready to train completly.

We tried back at the beginning of July and it was a disaster and he wasn't ready. two nights ago he peed in the potty at bathtime, but no interest since. I really want him trained by 3 because he can then move into the preschool room at daycare. He's in the toddler room now but you have to be PTd to move to preschool. He needs to be PTd by 3 1/2 so Dec 2012.

Miles will go pee on the potty 4-5 times a day, but he isn't consistent. He tells us when he has to go maybe once/twice a day, the other times he goes at daycare.

Very little interest here. A couple of weeks ago she started talking about wanting a oink princess potty so I took her to the store so she could pick one out. When we got home, she peed once and then wanted nothing to do with it.

This week I had to get a urine sample from her and it took two days!!

We're going backwards here. Corinna is less and less interested in using the potty. If I ask her she'll say no and if I try to make her she'll throw a fit.

When she will sit on it she pees, but getting her to tell me beforehand is impossible.

We tried a rewards chart (at my Mother-in-Law's urging) but it didn't really help. She likes getting stars, but doesn't seem to associate it with having to do anything.

When she needs to have a poop or if she's constipated, she'll say "I'm sad" and she'll hide. She still won't be willing to sit on the potty, though. It's hard not to find this funny.

Of course, when she spends time with MIL she is magically potty trained and will let her know when she needs to go. lol

Josie is pretty much day trained now. She's been out of nappies during the day for ages (she started to PT herself at 17 months) but had some regression before Emily was born. She got back on track about 4 weeks after Emily was born and is pretty good now, although she does still have the odd accident.

Not even trying yet. He knows after he has gone in his diaper, but doesn't tell us beforehand. He likes to sit on the potty, but only if he's wearing his diaper/pants. If we try to put him on it without a diaper, he gets all stressed out. Just not ready yet.

We've had 1 successful pee in the potty but other than that, no interest what-so-ever. Now we ask "Nicholas, do you want to sit on the potty?" and he always answers with a sharp NO. I'm convinced I will potty train both Nicholas and Emily at the same time ugh.

LOL! Ok, not really funny, but the same thing I said to DH this week, we will be training DD and DS at the same time! Sigh....
