I just have this idea that he won't sleep in a stroller or even the car seat if the car isn't moving... he's never been one to sleep well anywhere but his own crib (or the car... but only while its driving). I guess if I take him that day though, we will find out how easily he'll sleep in a strange place!

If we are in the car for more than 20 minutes, at any point in the day (even right after a 3 hour nap) Liam will sleep and thank GOD Eloise likes the car, too - so in my mind I see him sleeping in the car....then @ the ceremony I would just make sure you sit on the end and plan to walk the halls with him and/or Rowan. Also, if he is getting fussy you could throw him in the stroller and walk around on campus or the halls maybe he might fall asleep in that situation?
Liam rarely misses a nap, too, so I would have hesitations, too but I would not skip graduation - just have plans in place for if he gets bored/onery @ the ceremony (lots of fun snacks, paper and crayons/markers, stickers are a great distraction)
Good luck and have fun![]()
If it's important to you to go, then go! The kids will adapt as the others have said. I don't ever put off going somewhere because Maria would miss her nap, she will nap when she's tired! Usually in the car or in the stroller she will nap for me!![]()

To answer your question, yes, I would go if it was important to me. Kids adapt, and you also adapt to accommodate their needs (ie. understanding they want sit still for that long, and planning on walking around with them). Good luck!
