I'm Carrie, DH is "Dali" (nickname) and we have one daughter who just turned 2! We have a cat named Frankie, who is just now after almost 2 years letting my daughter come near him. He's a little skittish to say the least Biggrin I'm a Benefits Manager for an insurance company, DH is an Account Manager for Coca-Cola. I would love to be a SAHM or even better a part time working mom, but so far that hasn't been an option for us financially. We will see what the next child brings, because day care for 2 kids is pricey! Here's a picture of our family taken on 8 28 10:

Monday, August 9th - saw baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound, 119 bpm. Baby measured at 6w4d giving an estimated due date of 3/31/10. Dr. said we will stick with due date of 4/1/10 based on LMP since the u/s measurement can be off by up to 2 days.

Monday, August 23rd - saw baby and heartbeat on u/s again, 163bpm. Baby measured right on target at 8w3d, showing a due date of 4/1/11. Everything looked great!

Wednesday, September 15th at 11w5d - Baby was measuring 4 days ahead (12w2d), heartbeat was 158, and little cutie was moving a ton (it might have been that snickers I ate on the way to the appt...it works!! Blum 3 ) Here are a couple of pics:

I lost 2 more pounds (4 pounds total from 1st appt). At this point in my last pregnancy, I had gained 14 pounds  I'm doing much better this time Biggrin

Wednesday, October 13th - A pretty uneventful appointment since there was no U/S. I was up 2 pounds from last appointment, but still down 2 pounds from pre-preg weight. The nurse found the baby's HB right away, it was 156. Scheduled big U/S for November 10th at 1:30pm!

Wednesday, November 10th - We had our big U/S! Daddy came and I was SO nervous about finding out boy or girl. I was so scared the baby wouldn't show the goods Blum 3 Well it took a good long time but finally the U/S tech announced we were having another girl! Baby was really curled up and although she was moving some, she never came out of that curled up posture so they didn't get a good shot of the spine. One of her hands was under her and the U/S tech said she was scratching her butt. HA! We will have another U/S around 28 weeks to get a better shot of the spine. The U/S pics didn't turn out that great, and they didn't tell me what the heartrate was. Oh, and I gained 5 pounds from the last appt! Next appt is December 8th.

Wednesday, December 8th - Very uneventful besides a ridiculously long wait in the waiting room as usual. Heart beat was 148, everything is measuring fine, and I've gained 9 pounds total so far. Sophia came with me for the first time so she got to hear the baby's heartbeat and then wanted the nurse to use the doppler on her belly. ha ha The nurse did, and also took her blood pressure just for fun.

Besides the heartburn which is getting worse by the day, I'm feeling great. The baby is moving a ton lately...like I'm a little concerned about how active this LO is going to be because Sophia did not move this much! I am very thankful, though, to have that constant reminder that there's a healthy and growing child in there. Next appointment - January 4th. Glucose testing and another U/S to double check the spine!

Tuesday, January 4th - Had my glucose test. Yuck. Had another U/S since at the 20 week U/S they could not clearly see the baby's spine or aorta. Everything looked great. Baby girl weighs approximately 2 pounds 11 ounces (65%) and heartbeat was 136. She is currently in breech position, which I knew because all the kicks I feel are very low!

I gained 7 pounds this month for a grand total of 16 pounds so far. Time to start that new year's diet!!

They gave me a couple of U/S pictures of the face but they are really fuzzy and bad, I can barely even make out what it is. The lady was late this morning so she was behind and was rushing.

Starting to have a lot of pain in my right butt cheek (ha ha). Sciatic nerve pain? Dr. said it is sacroiliac joint pain, and is very common especially in subsequent pregnancies. It's getting worse by the day and I'm barely entering 3rd trimester so I'm a little worried about that. Oh and I start my two-week appointments now. Crazy!! Next appt, January 18th.

Tuesday, February 22nd - oops, I missed a couple of appointments in here. Obviously nothing too exciting happened at them!

Baby's HB was 145
My bp was 110/70
Total weight gain, 25 pounds (which is 5 pounds more than I'd like it to be!!)

I'm feeling a lot more crampy, more braxton hicks, and I think baby repositioned herself in the past week (I was sure she was breech prior to that). Starting to have a little swelling in my ankles at the end of the day. Heartburn is getting worse and the Zantac 150 is starting to not work so well.

My next appt, March 8th, I'll have my last U/S to make sure baby is in position. I'll be 36w4d at that point. It is really starting to hit me that I'm 5 weeks away! Crazy.

Baby #2, due 4/1/11

About Me

My name is Lindsey. DH is Jake. We are newlyweds as of April 9, 2010. I have one son (Noah) who is 4 1/2 from a previous relationship. This will be DH and I's first child together---we began ttc early because DS will be 5 in January and we didn't want a huge age difference between the two.

I am a dance teacher/drill team director at a high school and DH is in sales. We are expecting # 2 around April 2, 2011. We are thrilled to be adding this new addition to our family.

Jessica's Space

My Name is Jess and I am 29 years old. I live in Kentucky with my wonderful husband Jared and my 3 year old son... Jase. I'm a stay at home mom and I love it! And now we are expecting baby #2 on April 6th 2011. And we are hoping for a girl! But I guess God has a different plan for us since we are having a BOY!. We were initially going to stop at just 2 kids if this one was a girl but now since it isn't a girl than that just means I have to keep trying for my girl, so it seems that God wants us to have a bigger family than just 2 kids.

My Family

Jared and I started dating just out of high school and were finally married on Feb 5th 2005. It took us about a year of trying to conceive before we finally got pregnant. Sadly though we lost our first baby to a miscarriage at about 6 weeks. Soon after we got pregnant with our son Jase and he was born on Feb 22nd 2008. He has been such a blessing to us and we can't wait to give Jase a little brother or sister!

Date's to Remember

July 26 - Got my big fat positive on my birthday, what a great bday!!!
August 12 - My first appointment went well, we just touched base on my symptoms and she also did a simple bedside ultrasound and found the sac but I'm still too early too really see anything in the sac or a heartbeat. We scheduled my next ultrasound in two weeks to hear the heartbeat! She also set my due date at April 7th but I'm not going to change the tickers until after my next ultrasound because I'm sure they'll probably change it.
August 26 - My first ultrasound!! It went well, we heard and saw the hb at 171.1. We are also measuring right on target at 8 weeks and 1 day! My ultrasound tech also found some blood to the right of the sac. Nothing too much to worry about, but they do want to see me again for an ultrasound at 12 weeks.
September 27 - Check up ultrasound... No blood around the sac is the good news! The bad news is still NO SEX!! Ugh... for some reason my placenta is showing really low so we are still on pelvic rest until 18 weeks. Overall it was another good ultrasound and we got to see and hear the hb (163) again. And the baby was moving around alot... so precious!
November 8 - It's a BOY! Everything checked out really good and our little boy looked very healthy from what the doctor could see. He was so active on the ultrasound. It even looked like he hit me one time with his fist, it was so cute. HB was 157 and he was measuring 18 w 5 days... right on target. Oh and other good news is that the hubby and I are finally off restrictions... my placenta is right were it needs to be, not too low anymore. So needless to say DH is happy.
December 20 - 24 week appointment - Everything checked out fine. Just gaining too much weight although my doctor isn't concerned about it at all... I am. I'm going to really focus on a better diet and try to start exercising more. They put off my glucose test until my next appointment.
January 17 - 29 week ultrasound & glucose test - Had my glucose test this morning and boy that stuff is so gross! We also had a really good ultrasound except Caleb didn't want to cooperate with the 4D. I'm 29 weeks and he's measuring 30 weeks. Overall everything looks really good still. BP is still doing really good.
February 7 - 32 week appointment - Just took my weight, checked my blood pressure and heard the baby's heartbeat. Everything still looks good. Still so worried about my blood pressure going up again this pregnancy since we had so many problems the first time around. But I am so happy that it's still in very good shape, no worries.
February 21 - They scheduled my csection for April 1st and reset my new due date to April 4th

I got my BFP on July 26 ... my birthday! What a wonderful bday present!

Caitlin's Sticky Space!!

Well, since my tests are getting darker I guess its time for me to reserve my space Smile Its space #8 and I'm due on April 8, so I'm hoping thats a good sign!!

I got my BFP on Monday, July 26 at 6:41 pm. It was 10dpiui on an injectables cycle. We had 3-4 good follies so who knows how many are in there!! I had a loss due to a blighted ovum back in April so we are cautiously optimistic but are praying for a healthy sticky baby this time!! We can't believe we managed to do it again. We were supposed to do IVF this cycle but I decided I just wasn't ready so we settled on doing another IUI/injectables cycle. Thank the Lord we did!! Smile

This is how we told our families. It happened to be my mom's and DH's mom's bday this week... so we framed this photo and gave it to them as a gift. We did the same for my dad except we just told him that we had found something at his favorite shop and had to get it for him! Wink

Here is Monday night's BFP. Its a very light line but it is definitely there!!

Tuesday and Wednesday's Tests

07/29/10 - Beta HCG @ 13dpiui-94.5 Progesterone-Over 120!!
07/31/10 - Beta HCG @ 15dpiui-224!!! Doubling time of 38 hours!!
08/19/10 - First U/S at REs Office - We saw a perfect bean with a HB of 150!
09/01/10 - First appt - met with OB nurse and went over family history and financial info. Also had tons of lab work done!
09/03/10 - Second U/S - Saw a much larger bean!! He even wiggled some!
09/15/10 - First OB appt with Dr at 10w5d!! - It went PERFECTLY!! Dr C is amazing!! We knew we loved her but its so great to have a dr you like so much! She did another u/s and we got to see baby squirming and moving all over. I've gained 2 lbs and bp was 100/60!
10/13/10 - 14w5d - I have gained 4 lbs so far. It was my birthday so my amazing Dr gave me a surprise u/s and we found out Its a BOY!!! - We got tons of great shots of him kicking and jumping!! Unreal!! Smile
11/02/10 - Had an appt to checkup on some ovary pain I was having. We went ahead and did the anatomy scan. I have 3 cysts on my left ovary (which explains the discomfort) and He is DEFINITELY still a boy!! Smile
11/11/10 - Our Anniversary!! Also my 19w appt (ok, 18w6d). It was totally uneventful. We went over the results from the anatomy scan. I declined the quad screen and we listened to him on the doppler. Also I told my Dr (whom we LOOOOVE) that we wouldn't be able to see her anymore Sad
12/14/10 - 23w4d appt. This was our first appt with our new dr. We love her. It was relatively uneventful. BP is still good and we listened to him on the doppler. He was so squirmy and was kicking the wand that we had a hard time getting his HB (which was in the 140s). I got my orange drink for my glucose test at my next appt.
1/12/11 - 27w5d appt. It went great. I had to do the yucky GD test but my results came back great! (105 1/25/11 - Appt went great - We got to see our little guy and he is measuring and growing perfectly. All his measurements were 1-2 weeks ahead, although he was only in the 55% range? Appt with dr went well, although she was still concerned about my BH. She checked me and my cervix is soft but closed shut! Supposed to have another appt in 1 week to be safe, but a snow/ice storm had the clinic closed on that day. Not sure when my next appt will be.
2/18/11 - Had my 33 week appt. BP was good at 115/69. They just measured my belly and weighed me... nothing exciting.
2/23/11 - Wasn't feeling well in the morning and took my BP. It was too high. Ended up going in to the clinic to have them check it. Dr admitted me to the hospital for testing and observation. BP stayed good as long as I was lying down. After about 4 hours they sent me home to do a 24hr urine check. Came back with proteins of 180, but not high enough to call it pre-e. My BP continued to stay elevated as long as I'm up and moving around. Also having severe tachycardia! Sad
3/4/11 - 35 week appt. BP in the office was good so not much happened. The usual weight and belly measurements. He is still measuring right on!
3/18/11 - 37 week appt. BP was good in the office but I showed Dr F my log of BPs and she was very concerned. We also talked to her about my tachycardia. She referred me to a cardiologist just to make sure I'll be ok for delivery. She suggested b/c of my BP and how bad I've been feeling that we go ahead and induce. He is measuring a week behind now (which has me more concerned than her apparently...) She tried to get me in for induction on Sunday (3/20) but they were too busy so we will be going in Wednesday night (3/23) to start the induction.

First U/S - August 19
6w6d - HB 150

Second U/S - September 3
9 weeks - HB 177
(sorry its not a good pic - they only did it abdominally!)

Third U/S - September 15
10w5d - HB 174

Fourth U/S - October 13

Fifth U/S - November 2
17W4d - Anatomy Scan!!

Definitely Still a BOY!! Smile

Tiffany's Space

I'm 27 and I work full time. Me & my hubby, Derick, have been married for 4 years and we have a 2 year old girl named Naomi. I got my BFP after 2 months of TTC. We are hoping for a bouncing baby boy, but will be happy with a healthy baby. If it's a boy, his name will be Elijah and if it's a girl, we are not sure, but are leaning towards Sarah. (We like Biblical names)

BFP July 30th:

1st appointment & U/S (6 weeks): 8-19-10
Heartbeat 113 BPM
Baby measured at 6 weeks 1 day
Due date changed to 4-13-11 per U/S

2nd appointment (10 weeks): 9-16-10 at 8:10am
Heartbeat 160-170 BPM
Prenatal Bloodwork done

3rd appointment (14 weeks): 10-12-10 at 9:20am
Heartbeat 140-150 BPM
Got a flu shot
The Dr. said I was border line anemic. So, I need to make sure my pre-natals have iron in them & make sure to take them daily.

4th appointment & U/S (18 weeks): 11-09-10 at 2:15pm
Dr. said he is healthy & measuring in the 70-74th percentile for size.

5th appointment (22 weeks): 12-7-10 at 8:30am
Heartbeat 140's BPM
Fundal height 21 cm (on target)
Gained about 9 lbs. total from the start of the pregnancy
Blood pressure was 60/108 (fine)

6th appointment (26 weeks): 1-4-11 at 8:30am
Heartbeat 130's BPM
Fundal height 27 cm
Gained 5 more lbs./14 lbs. total.
Blood pressure was 120/60 (fine)
Cervix was good, no dialation (Dr. checked due to many braxton hicks I had been having)

7th appointment (28 weeks): 1-18-11
8:15 Glucose test- Passed (nasty stuff I had to drink!)
9:30 Dr. App.
Heartbeat 130's BPM
Fundal height 28 cm
Did not gain weight (14 lbs. total) probably due to sinus infection & being sick for 2 weeks
Blood pressure was 120/70 (fine)
Nurse called and said that my iron is low and to take a supplemental iron pill (90-100 milligrams a day).

8th appointment (30 weeks): 2-1-11 at 2:50pm
Heartbeat 140's BPM
Fundel height 32 cm (Dr. said I was measuring on the large side)
Gained 4 lbs. (18 lbs. total)
Blood pressure was fine
Dr. said I would get my next u/s around 36 weeks and they would look at the baby's size then.

30 Week Belly pics:

4D U/S appointment: 2-5-11 at 3pm

9th appointment (31 Weeks): 2-8-10 at 1:30pm
I went to see the dr. b/c I was having horrible back pain.
Dr. determined I pulled a ligament & advised me to buy a maternity back brace & prescribed me some muscle relaxers.
Dr. also checked my cervix and said that it was long and no where near effacing. So, not to worry about labor any time soon.
Eli's heartbeat was in the 140's, like normal & my bp was good.
*By 2-10-10, my back is feeling better after using the back brace for 2 days and taking it easy. I'm being careful now not to lift or carry heavy things...even my laptop for long distances.

10th appointment (33 Weeks): 2-22-11 at 8:30am
Eli's heartbeat & my bp was good.
Gained 20 lbs. total
Dr. said she would fill out the form for me to get a handicap pass b/c of my back pain! YAY!
Dr. said I would come back in 2 weeks for a check up then I would come every week after that! My u/s will be in 3 weeks! It is all coming so fast!
*I brought some flowers and visited Tiffany D. (Derick's cousin) after my dr. appointment and her little baby girl Skyler Joy! She was so precious and weight 6lb. 10oz. at birth. Tiffany said that she was sleeping at home when her water broke at 5am, she got to the hospital at 6am, and had baby Skyler at 7:17am  I hope I get a little more warning! She basically had natural child birth b/c there wasn't time for the epidural to work. She was 38 weeks & 3 days when she had her.

3-1-11 (34 weeks):
Well, it’s been a long day for me. I went to the dr. this morning and she determined that I was 1cm dilated and that my contractions that I had started having last night were labor contractions. So I was admitted to the hospital and given meds to stop the contractions and was under observation all day. Luckily the contractions stopped and I was able to go home. I’m under orders though to rest and stay home, but my dr. said I could work from home as long as I was physically relaxing/taking it easy. Dr. said it would be better if the baby could wait 1 more week at least. I’m positively hoping longer. Dr. said that if I had him now, he would be fine but would be in the NICU for a bit, so let’s hope I can hold off till I’m at least 37 weeks.

3-2-11 Update: I'm taking Nifedipine every 6 hours to prevent/stop the contractions. So far it seems to be working, but in between taking the meds, I start having the contractions. It hasn't been more than 5 an hour, but it still worries me. Once the medicine kicks in, they usually stop.

11th appointment (35 Weeks): 3-9-11 at 3pm

Finally get to claim a space!!! My name is Noelle, I am 30 years old. My husband is Vlad and he is 28 years old. We have been together for 9.5 years, and have been married since May 2009. After lots of testing, SAs and U/S, we decided to try IUI with injectibles in July. Our first attempt seems to have done the trick! We are both thrilled and cannot wait to see our little bean!

EDD is April 22nd but I will be induced April 14th due to my high blood pressure!!

I am Tiffany and I am 33 yrs old. Dh is Michael and he is 32 yrs old. We have 5 children already they are Emma Kay who is 11, Isabella Marie who is 8, Cole Michael who is 6, Alec Christopher who is 3, and Luke Edward who is 2, so this baby will be #6! I have also had 2 previous losses in '97 and '05 so I will be a nervous nelly during the first trimester.

A progression of my pee sticks:

This is Luke and I last Christmas (as you can tell I love having my pic taken!):

Me and Luke when he was born (yep I had blonde hair then):

Dh with Luke when he was born!

The older 4 on vacation this summer:

Had my first appt. Aug. 26th. Everything went well. I lost 8 lbs due to nausea and not eating but I have extra weight to lose lol. I am scheduled for u/s on Monday Aug. 30th for dating and just to see what is going on in there! Too excited!!

Had our u/s at 6w3d everything looks great! HB 136 and fluid level was great all indicators of a healthy baby!

Had an another u/s at 7w5d due to bleeding. Everything was great no sign of any bleeding in the uterus, baby measured 8w1d and hb was 162.

Had my regular appt at 9w5d. Heard baby's hb on the doppler was 168 bpm. Gained a lb back of what I lost. Bp was good, uterus felt a good size. Had flu shot and blood drawn for maternal serum testing.

Appt. 13wks- everything looked great again.

Had an u/s at a 3d clinic! Everything was great, baby looked very healthy! And she is a girl!! YAY!

Appt. 18 wks still looking great! scheduled u/s in Iowa City with MFS to be sure baby is doing good.

19 wks had u/s in I.C. she could not look more perfect!! Everything looked excellent, heart, brain, spine, nose/lips, stomach, bladder, kidneys, fingers/toes, arms, legs, etc. No genetic abnormalities! And she is still a girl!! Weighing in at 12 oz. measuring right on target.

Appt. 22 wks status quo again!

Appt. 26 wks. Measuring huge! 4 wks ahead. MW thinks it is baby's position not her size tho. She is head down on my bladder and cervix w/ her feet stretched towards my ribs. Very uncomfortable!!

27 wks- growth u/s in I.C. Baby looks very good again they checked cord blood flow which was great and looked at all organs again. Perfect! She weighs 2 lbs 3 oz. which is very average. She is measuring 8 days behind but they arent concerned as u/s can be a bit off plus she looks very healthy. I go for another u/s at 33 wks.

29 wks (feb. 3rd) glucose testing/bloodwork all was great! Not measuring as big anymore still around 30/31 wks so no gain!

Feb. 21st (32 wks) next appt.

March 8th next and probably final u/s.

This is the video of our first u/s at 6w3d.

Had an u/s at 7w5d due to spotting. The baby measured 8w1d and had a hb of 162. Everything looked good. And the baby had grown a bunch!

17 wks U/s at the 3d clinic!!

19 wk u/s in I.C.!

27 wk u/s in I.C.!

DH and I got married in July 08. Had our first BFP in Dec 08. Grace was born on Aug 1, 2009.
When I was just 6 weeks pg with Grace, I was told I was miscarrying and that I have a heart shaped uterus. The whole pregnancy was high risk. Every pregnancy I have will be. But thank God, everything went just fine!! Grace was born at 40w, 2d, and healthy as can be!!!

I'm nervous about the first tri - with Grace we had lots of bleeding and lots of doc appts. This pg has proven to be no different. I've been bleeding since 9 weeks. And now that the second tri is approaching, I think the bleeding may actually be lessening, finally! (It did in fact stop around 14 weeks! PRAISE GOD!!)

So far:

July 4 - Last Menstrual Period
26 - Anniversary and Conception Wink
Aug 4 - BFN
10 - BFP!!!! Yahoo
11 - Doc appt. Confirm pregnancy. Have to decide which doc to see next.
23 - U/S #1; HB found @ 85 bpm - measuring perfect at 5w, 6d
Sept 1 - U/S #2; HB found @ 148 bpm - measuring perfect at 7w, 2d
13 - Bleeding/spotting; Doc appt. Everything looks fine. Biggrin
22 - Go to ER due to excessive bleeding. HB strong. Bloodwork good. Cervix closed.
27 - Last minute appt with Doc. Found HB of baby on doppler. Everything should be good. Smile
30 - Nurse educator appt and pg lab work. Went well. Getting more excited!!! Still spotting.
Oct 4 - 12 weeks! Second Tri begins!!! Yahoo
- OB appt @ 12w. Still bleeding so no exam done. Found HB right away and sounds perfect. Dr is encouraged by that. Noted the PTL w/Grace and decided to send me to peri around 16w for an early scan. Briefly talked about the potential for using progesterone.
- Around 14 weeks, the bleeding just stops. All gone. FINALLY!!!!!
Nov 5 - Peri appt and U/S check. Went very well! New dr is very nice. Baby is doing well. Seems to have implanted on the top of the uterus (anterior and mid-line). No sign of the septum. Dr checked and checked. Placenta may have grown over it (if I wasn't completely healed of it!!! Praise God!). Baby was very healthy though so there shouldn't be a problem, if that is the case. All growth and sizes were in the 80th percentile! And... BABY IS A BOY!!!! We go back in 3 weeks for another scan of the heart, growth, position, and cervix check.
10-17 - California trip!!! Had a great time visiting with family and friends. Baby's name is officiallyCharles Joseph. We'll call him Charlie. I definitely 'popped' more while we were there too. Smile
18 - OB appointment. Everything is just fine. Heard his heartbeat nice and strong.
24 - Next Peri appt.
Dec 5 - Dad, Linda, and Ash hang out for Sunday and Monday! Lots of fun!
8 - Peri appt. Jon & Mel join us and help with Gracie. Charlie is looking great. However, there is a 'crinkle,' spot, blob, or something growing near the placenta in the amniotic sac. There is no reason for it to be there. There are some risks with it but we will continue monitoring it. Doc is letting me come back in one week to check it out again.
15 - Follow up Peri appointment. The sac/crinkle/mystery is completely gone! PRAISE THE LORD! There are some spots where we can see it was but it is gone. YAY! Doc OKs our travels to FL!
16 - OB appt. Doc is glad everything is better. He also OKs travels to FL. Doesn't want me to go full month between appts so I go back in 3 weeks. Heartbeat is nice and strong!
23-30 - Florida trip!!! Merry Christmas! Our whole family traveled to FL for the holiday. Everything went well. Charlie was moving around lots. I have lots of back pain though. Unsure of the cause. Had same pain with Grace's pg.
Jan 5 - Peri appt. Everything looks good still! Baby Charlie is growing lots and lots!
6 - OB appt. Heartbeat is strong and everything is great! Asked about the back pain. Dr says it's from the muscles and the way I am over/under-compensating in my posture. Sad Ouch! Also, all set up for lab work in 3 weeks. Fun!
19 - Peri appt. NOT our last one. Dr is concerned because he seems to have large brain ventricles - they aren't getting bigger and they aren't outside of normal. But she wants to see me again in another week.
24 - THIRD TRIMESTER BEGINS!!! 28 weeks!
Feb 1 - Next OB appt with lab work. Nothing exciting. All goes well, even with HUGE snow storm that hit! Smile

I'll Take up some space too, but I'm not sure how to make it as cute as some of you!
Here is my story:
After years of trying We are pregnant again. Just a little history on us. DD had a vasectomy years ago (with his previous wife) we were going to have it reversed but soon found out that I was pregnant. This was of course a huge shock, but even more of a shock was that it was an ectopic pregnancy. I didn't know that I was pregnant and found out when I was 8weeks pregnant. I had emergency surgery and they removed it. I no longer have a working left tube and ovary from this. I began getting tests to make sure everything else with me was good and to see if my left side was blocked or open, it is blocked We also had him tested too. Apparently he is running at normal percentage as is he never had a vasectomy. Scary huh, good thing we wanted to get pregnant! The doctors realized that I was no longer ovulating on my own and have PCOS. On top of the I had severe stage 4 endometriosis AND a septate uterus that needed to be fixed. Needless to say the doctor removed the wall in my uterus that cause my very first pregnancy in 2006 and they removed the endo put me on Chlomid and we tried from there. I realized that the chlomid wasn't helping and I gave up on it. My periods started comming more frequent and I was almost on a monthly schedule when I was thinking to myself that my chest has been a little sore (which is ann AF sign) for quite awhile now and I have pms cramps but really only when I move wierd or am sitting for a long period of time. I figure that my period is late but it is hard to really tell since I can't remember when I had a normal 30 day cycle and thought what the heck, I'll test to amuse my self. Sure enough it was positive. I couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe it. I called and set a doctors appointment for this morning to get a blood draw to see where my levels are. I hope and pray to God that this one sticks. This is my 3rd real pregnancy and I can't afford emotionally to loose another one.

Thanks for listening and I am more excited than you can imagine but scared at the same time...

1st Ultrasound 8/6/10 measured at 6 weeks and we saw a heartbeat Smile

I'm Donna. I'm 42 and this is my first "successful" pregnancy. My DH, Jeff and I have been married since 2003 and we're beyond EXCITED for this journey! We have a dog, Kona, who unfortunately will be moving outdoors (she's not good around kids) in preparation of our family expansion.

I recently had Gastric Bypass surgery (March 28th), so while this pregnancy is exciting, it is a bit SOON, post surgery--they'll be micro-managing my progression to help make this pregnancy as healthy as possible! I previously had two miscarriages (1993 and 1997) and two ectopic pregnancies (2006 and 2007). My surgeon and OB have categorized me as HIGH-RISK.

July 29th - BFP on a Digital HPT
July 29th - blood test confirmation 992 HCG / 26 Progesterone
July 31st - second blood test 2005 HCG
August 2nd - first ultrasound - SAC found - confirmation that pregnancy is NOT ectopic!
August 11th - 6 wk ultrasound - SWEET PEA's heartbeat confirmed!!
August 24th - 8 wk ultrasound

I'm Lisa (31) and I have a wonderful husband of 6 years, Evan (32). We have two beautiful daughters, Grace Elizabeth, who we were blessed to get pregnant with very easily, and Hannah Elise, who we battled for through 16 months of infertility. This time around, we were very lucky again, and got pregnant right away.
I found out I was pregnant this time while away on vacation visiting my parents. DH was back home, so I sent him an email with a picture of the pregnancy test, and then called him to have him open the email while we were on the phone together.

At 8 weeks, we were able to have an early dating ultrasound, which showed our little bean measuring right on, with a HB of 164. We were thrilled!

At 20 weeks, we had our "big" ultrasound, and learned I am carrying another very healthy little girl. (Which I've suspected from the beginning).

This pregnancy has so far been uneventful...the usual 1st trimester morning sickness, and second trimester heartburn being my only complaints. Hoping for an uneventful rest of the pregnancy as well!

Sharon's Space

I'm Sharon, 30 years old and married to Matt, 28 years old. I love telling our story! Smile We were married on July 23, 2005 and 6 months after we got married, Matt was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He had a 22 cm tumor in his chest cavity (in between his lung, arteries, coming up OUT of his chest, and pushing down on his stomach). The doctors told us at the time that we needed to save sperm because he would be infertile from the specific chemotherapy they were putting him on. We couldn't afford to do that because it was thousands of dollars so we decided to trust God that if we were to have children, we'd have them.....naturally or adopted. So, Matt went through treatment and was officially declared in remission on October 23, 2006. Fast forward to December 2007, and I got a positive pregnancy test! Talk about a complete (but totally wanted) surprise! We were ecstatic! Our daughter, Ariel, was born on August 29, 2008. She is the light of our lives and is really just the coolest kid!! We were planning on trying for #2 in a month but I have been working on Matt to get pregnant sooner. Smile I am beyond thrilled to be expecting our second and due in April!! We also have a furbaby, Shelby, who is 5 years old. Smile

I guess I should start a space too.

I'm Erica, DH is Joe and we have two beautiful, charismatic daughters, Camille( Jan. 2006) and Lily (Dec. 2008). I'm a former teacher and child care worker that began staying home once Lily was born. Camille had many health issues her first 2.5 years of life and it ended up that she had an undiagnosed swallow disorder, so she had been aspirating liquids since birth. This aspiration caused damage to the upper lobes of her lungs causing endless sickness and asthma. She is SO much better now. As she grows she has gotten much healthier and her lungs are repairing. Lily is a sweet doll baby, but can have a fierce temper. She is so determined. She's not a big talker yet, but she gets her point across. They and Joe are the joy of my life.

As for this baby, talk about the surprise of a lifetime. There are still days, I think how can I do this, but I'm a firm believer in God. I know he has a plan and I just need to follow. We're hoping for a boy, but will be equally overjoyed with another girl. I've never had a sister, so watching my girls interact is fascinating and sweet to me. I feel like God gave me what I needed in them.

My name is Sarah. Jeremy and I have been married for 4 years. Owen is 5 and was quite the surprise somewhat early in our relationship. We got pregnant with Grey right after we got married.
We didn't know if we were going to have any more kids when surprise! After realizing I was a week late, I got a positive HPT on Aug 2, 2010.
Owen was born naturally at a birhing center with an OB at 39w2d. Grey was born at home with a midwife at 40w3d.
We're planning another homebirth this time around with another fantastic midwife.

Baby #5 on the way

Hello! My name is Kate. I live in Northern Utah. I know I am very late joining this group but I just found out about pregnancy.org from my sister. I am due on April 6th with my 5th child (6th pregnancy- miscarried #5 named Jordan at 13 weeks). I have a 10 year old boy named Payton, an 8 year old girl named Elaina, a 6 year old boy named Jared and a 3 year old boy named Luke. This baby is a GIRL! I am so excited that my daughter is finally going to have a sister! I am attempting a VBAC this time after #3 and 4 were delivered by c-section. We have decided that we will be naming our little girl Alexandria Fern. Her middle name is after my grandma since my due date is also her 90th birthday. I got to tell her a couple of weeks ago that was our plan and she was elated! I hope to be able to meet some friends on here and am excited to hear how delivery goes for everyone Smile
