I'm Erin and I turned 40 this year. My DH is Stephen and we met through Match.com in April 2003. By April 2004 we were married. We tried for over a year to get pregnant and in September 2005 we found out that we were expecting our first. My pregnancy was fairly normal - except for 2 infections early in the pregnancy. I ended up getting my first good u/s around 24 weeks. It was there we found out our baby "girl" which we had named Emily had cysts in her kidneys. The tech tried to pinpoint why there were cysts and ended up getting the perinatologist involved. They spent a lot of time looking to find out there was not only the issue with the kidneys - but also with her heart. Needless to say the rest of the pregnancy was filled with appointments and worries. It was at that time we first heard about Trisomy. After the amnio we found out it was not a chromosome issue. Emily was born in May 2006 and at 8 days old she had her first open heart surgery. We spent our first 3 weeks in hospitals. It was during her stint in the hospital when we first heard of VATER/VACTREL association. According to the geneticist, an infection early in the pregnancy caused these issues. For Emily she has the following conditions: 1) Pulmonary Atresia/Tetrology of Fallot (pulmonary artery didn't form correctly at the heart) 2) Cystic Kidneys (she basically has 2/3's of a working kidney) 3) Congenital Scoliosis (9 vertebrae didn't form correctly). We've had a lot of surgeries, cath procedures and appointments - but I can say right now she's 3 and doing well.

After that, we were ready for another pregnancy. I unfortunately had an early m/c in Jan 08. Then work got in the way. So in Oct 2008, color me surprised when I found out I was pregnant again with baby #2. The joke was not who the father was - but the mother as I hadn't been around due to traveling a lot that summer. That pregnancy early on was filled with all sorts of issues. I was diagnosed with placenta previa. So basically, that meant "pelvic" rest. By Christmas that had cleared up, but in January with the quad screen we had a positive for Trisomy 18. We had another amnio and it confirmed that diagnosis. For those that have never heard of Trisomy 18, it's called Edward's Syndrome. There are a multitude of health issues and developmental issues that these babies have. A good percentage die in utero, another good percentage are stillborn and a slight percentage make it month or a year from birth. We again had named a girl - Sarah and we carried her to term. I the middle of things, I moved to another OB office that was closer to work and a hospital that had a level III NICU. They had also been through families going through this. All I can say is God works in mysterious ways. It was the best place for us. We knew Sarah had a heart issue and a cleft palate/lip. I was all set to fight for her surgery for her heart until Emily's cardiologist explained what T-18 really was. These children have the health issues and developmental issues (Like Downs (t-21)) but they also have issues with swallowing and breathing. Any surgeries they have, figure it will take even longer for recovery because of these delays. It was at that point, we knew we wouldn't take drastic measures for her. I then had another complication with the pregnancy - extra amnio fluid. By 35 weeks I was measuring 50 and the fluid had started compromising the cord - so they decided it was time for us to meet her. I had no bag packed and luckily my MIL had showed up early to take care of Em. I was also lucky to have my little camera in my purse - otherwise we wouldn't have had pictures. I ended up having 4 liters of fluid from my little girl. That was due to her esophagus not attaching to her stomach. So we knew it was just a matter of time. I had given her milestones, not to be born on her sister's bday or her daddy's birthday and wait until we had someone to watch Emily. Em's bday is May 16, DH's the 19th and Sarah was born on the 22nd. After she was born, I told her I wanted her to meet her sister and grandparents. She coded a few times, but brought herself back. On the second day around 4pm, my parents got there and got to hold her and tell her they loved her and within 10 minutes of them arriving - she died in my arms. I feel absolutely blessed to have had that time with that special soul.

We are now expecting #3. Dubbed MO (Microscopic Offspring). We really hope this pregnancy is uneventful and healthy including the baby this time.

I got my BFP on September 18, 2009.

In some circles, babies born to families after the loss of a child are referred to as "Rainbow Babies." The idea is that the baby is like a rainbow after a storm. "Rainbow Babies" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.

I'm a 33 year old who will soon be a single mother by choice.

This hard won BFP followed 8 months of fertility treatment with 6 IUI using donor sperm, 2 cancelled cycles due to early ovulation and one cancelled cycle to have an ovarian polyp removed. It's been a long emotional journey, but Motherhood here I come!

From Drop Box

test taken 11 dpIUI
confirmatory bloodwork, 28 September 2009
EDD 8 June 2010

Miscariage, 4 October 2009

The story continues, 1 cycle IUI with Clomid. BFP 23 November... You'll find me on the August page.

Kelly's Space

I met my husband when we were freshman in high school. After four years of dating, we got married on Feb 8th, 2005. John joined the Army in 2004, so I moved from our homestate of Florida to Fort Campbell, KY. We lived there for 3 years and lost 4 babies in our attempts to TTC. Our first three losses were very early and by the time they really go confirmed they were gone. Our fourth loss, our son Philip Wade, was lost around the 13-14 week mark. We're not sure because his heart stopped. They did tested his chromosomes and everything was normal. I went through the worst year of depression in my life, I don't think it was until we found out were pregnant with #5 that I attempted to snap out of it. I found out we were pregnant again on Dec 26th, 2007...to say it was a rollercoaster would be an understatement. We had been living in Germany for almost a year and Landstuhl actually had a team of doctors listen. By the time Sammie Lynn was born I had at least 40 tests run, 19 ultrasounds, wore a heart monitor, was hospitalized for a weekend...and on and on and on. Samantha "Sammie" Lynn was born on September 7th, 2008 at 9 lbs 14.5 oz and 21 inches tall. My husband was home with us until 19 weeks, then came home for her birth, and went back to Iraq until she was 9 and a half months old. We started trying again in July and immediately got pregnant with #6...we lost that baby on August 25th at around 6-7 weeks. While being followed by my OB for genetic testing we found out almost a month later we're pregnant again...#7. Our pregnancy with Alice was a dream. The issues I had with her sister never reappeared to the extent they did before. Our only complication was she remained in breech position past 40 weeks, due to a shortened cord. As much as I did not want a c-section it was life or death, I chose life! She's an angel baby to say the least!

The Big Sister!

Sammie Lynn: 21 Months Old

Allison Marie
Estimated Due Date: June 4th, 2010
Birthday: June 2nd, 2010 at 8:14 AM 8 lbs 15 oz & 21 3/4 inches
Alice was born via c-section due to breech position & shortened umbilical cord

I'm a 28 year old, married mom of 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. Our 4th is a pleasant surprise and is due around June 6th, 2010, which is the day after my 11 year anniversary of being together with my husband.

My husband Bruce and I:

My Kids:

Christopher aged 9

Cameron aged 6

Heather aged 2

1st BFP test - September 30th, 2009. 17 DPO, Period 3 days late.

2nd BFP test - October 3rd, 2009. 20 DPO, Period 6 days late.

BETA NUMBERS, TAKEN @ 7 Weeks, 2 Days:

Ultrasound done on January 6th, 2010. Heartbeat was measuring at 156 BPM. Results show that my little bug is due June 5th, 2010, which happens to be the day hubby and I will have been together for 11 years. How ironic is that?

Side profile. You can see an arm, the nose, lips, chest and if you look closely, the heart.

An arm and part of a hand but I think the baby moved as she took the shot.

Bringing his/her hand to their mouth. You can see eyes and nose too.

Scan 16/10/09 at approx 6 weeks - we saw a flicker of a heart beginning to beat - wonderful!

Scan 29/10/09 for dating - 8 weeks 2days and heart beating!

Scan 01/11/09 (emergency after scare overseas) - h/b 164 bpm, beta over 134,000, and all looking well!

Scan 24/11/09 at 12 weeks - and making a SCARY FACE! Dad wanted this picture though because he liked looking at the development of the jaw. Lots of movement. Fibroids now total 19 cm (one 11 cm one 8 cm) and currently lying close to cervix. One fibroid is visible here on the right of the fetus (a round, cloudy circle, about the same size as the gestational sac. Fingers crossed that it behaves.

20 Week Ultrasound 21/01/10 - all looking great - healthy baby lying transverse IT'S A BOY!!!! and big fibroid has shrunk by 2cm. C-section looking inevitable.

27 Week Ultrasound 13/03/10 - all looking good and healthy. Still a boy! Breach position. No change to fibroids.

32 Week Ultrasound 15/04/10 - no photos - All good news! Baby still breech, so no longer in more dangerous transverse position. Measuring 53rd percentile for size (estimated to be currently 4lb 12 oz). Fibroids 1cm smaller each and have moved left of centre. Now some chance baby might turn head down and if so, no c-section! Turn baby!

DH and I had two miscarriages before we had our son Nate who turns 4 later this month. Just this past April I had an ectopic pregnancy and a chemical pregnancy in July. So needless to say I'm very nervous! I'm trying to stay positive! Got my BFP yesterday.

I'm going to call the Dr. next week since that is when I'll be officially late and start getting my levels drawn.

There isn't a whole lot to my birth story since it was a scheduled c-section, but there was a little drama. Went in the morning of June 4th for a scheduled c-section for 0730. I walked back to the OR at around 0720 and got my spinal. Everything got started and when it was time to get Alex out the Dr. couldn't get a good grip on him. He was apparently in an odd position and she couldn't get him. She called for the vacuum and the Dr. assisting her was pushing with all his might on the top of my uterus. I didn't think I could breathe for a few minutes. The vacuum ended up popping off and not working. The Dr. then cut me just a bit more and Alex came out! I was on pins and needles until I heard that beautiful cry! He was born at 0801 and his weight was 9 pounds 1 oz and was 21 inches long. His apgars were 8 and 9. He did have periodic grunting for about the first 12-16 hours after birth- which as a NICU nurse I had already had a chat with him before he was born that it was the one thing he was NOT allowed to do. He didn't get the memo! We are now home and doing really well. I am so blessed with the birth of my new man!

saving my spot too.

i did a hpt about 9dpo and left it on the top of the loo (as you do) to go and see to ds. i came back to it a while later, and was sure i had a beautiful evap. then i tested again 7th oct and got a blazing bfp. i only tested because i knew af was due but didn't feel like it was coming. that was my last hpt, and i have been using up the rest of my opks to keep testing!
i already have 2 beautiful kids, and think that this will be my last.

Lindsey's Space

I'm Lindsey, 29, and my husband is Jason, 35. We met in August of 2000 and married in September of 2003. We live in the 'burbs of Dallas, TX with our 2-yr old son, Jaxon.

After a few years of enjoying marriage, we decided we were ready to add to our family. I got pregnant pretty much right away after going off BCP, but we suffered an early loss in June of '06 and took a couple of months off from TTC. When we got back on board, it took a little while to conceive, but I finally got a BFP in November of that year. Jaxon was born on 7/9/07 and changed our lives forever. He has been the best thing to ever happen to us.

38w with Jaxon (1 week before giving birth) and the day he came home from the hospital:

We always knew we wanted to have one more to complete our family (hopefully a girl!), but just weren't sure when. A couple of months ago we decide not to try, but to stop trying to avoid. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we conceived this time around.

On Sunday, 10/11/09, we got our BFP:

So, here we go again! Wink

Ultrasound Pics

11/3 - Pregnancy confirmed. U/S and blood work done. Heartbeat is 147 bpm and baby is measuring at 7w6d. EDD moves up to 6/16.

We have a heartbeat!

11/12 - 9w1d. Met with OB, everything is looking great! Bloodwork results came back perfect. Conned my way into a quick u/s since she said it was too early to hear the h/b on doppler. Baby looks great, even got a little "wave," h/b was 174! Perscribed Zofran for my nausea. Pap smear was done and now have a little spotting/cramping.

12/7 - 12w5d. Hb was in the 170s. Fundal height measuring 13cm. Diagnosed with both a yeast and bacterial infection. Prescribed meds for both. My vagina is revolting against me! Blood and ketones found in urine. Doc said it was most likely due to the infection, but will keep an eye on it.

1/4 - 16w5d. OB was in a delivery, so I saw the nurse this visit. HB was 163/bpm. Baby was moving around all over the place and the nurse was having a hard time getting the HB long enough to get the BPM. Maybe I shouldn't have had those 3 cups of coffee. Fundal height measuring 17cm. No mention of anything in my urine. Blood drawn for quad screen (update: results came back normal). Excited that my next appointment is the BIG U/S!!!

2/4 - 21w1d. It's a boy! Ultrasound went perfectly and baby was not shy at all. Everything is looking great and we are thrilled that things are going so well. Estimated that baby weighs about a half a pound. Fundal height measuring between 20-21 cm. Halfway there!

Next appointments:
24w, 3/04 (Glucose test :()
28w, 4/01

My name is Maggie (19) and I have been with my boyfriend Carlos (22) since February 2, 2008. When we met, I already had one daughter, my little peanut Juliana Elise (2 1/2), from a previous relationship. We fell in love so fast and Carlos moved in with me after we had been dating for only a few months. We soon moved into our own apartment (I had been renting from my parents at the time) and started our life together. He is a wonderful partner and father, and plans to adopt my daughter when we get married (still waiting on the official proposal here!)

I have always wanted a large family and knew that I wanted my daughter to have a siblig close to her age. We decided to start TTC in May, 2009 and I had my Mirena removed. I was fully expecting to get pregnant right away like before, and it was so hard for me to see AF come at the end of each month. I started to wonder if we could have children at all. We decided to take a break from actively TTC in September, 2009 because it was so stressful.

In the meantime, we had been househunting. In early September we found a beautiful 4 bedroom cape cod that we absolutely fell in love with. We put in an offer and everything has worked out so that we close on our first home October 29th! I am so excited!

With all the excitement of house hunting, I completely put TTC out of my mind. In early October, I relaized I hadn't gotten my period and was surprised to find I was four days late. On October 10, I decided to take a pregnancy test and about fell off the toilet when it was positive! We are both thrilled! I still can't beleive we are going to have a baby! Little Green Bean is due June 16, 2010!

UPDATE! IT'S A BOY! The name we have chosen is Wesley Dominick.

*Nov 11 @ 8:45 AM - First meeting and appointment with Nurse
Everything went well. We talked about my medical and family history and I got a lot of little booklets and such with information in them. I had 4 vials of blood drawn and had to PIAC. Made my first appointment with the Midwife.

*Nov 21 @ 10:30 AM - First Appointment with Midwife
Again everything went well. Internal exam, etc. was all normal. Could not find baby's HB on the doppler, which is normal at 10 weeks but worried me. Referred for 1st Trimester ultrasound.

*December 3, 2009 @ 3:00 PM - First Ultrasound
I was a nervous wreck but baby is doing fine! He was moving and bouncing around like crazy and putting his hands in his mouth and all that. It was amazing. The Tech was not very nice so I don't know how I was measuring and did not hear the HB, but seeing him was enough for me.

*December 9, 2009 @ 12:00 PM - Second Appointment with Midwife
Cancelled due to 2+ feet of snow

*January 9, 2010 @ 12:00 PM - Rescheduled Second Appointment with Midwife
Heard Green Bean's heartbeat for the 1st time! 150 BPM! Scheduled my gender scan!

*January 28, 2010 @ 3:00 PM - Second Ultrasound
IT'S A BOY! Baby Wesley was moving a shaking for the ultrasound! He is definately a BOY and was measuring spot on for dates. He weighed approximately 11 ounces and has really long legs already! Everything was perfect except for the kidney scan. One side of Wesley's renal pelvis was not draining properly, it was overfull and the size it should be when he is at term. The renal pelvis is supposed to drain down through the ureter to the bladder. We have a follow up u/s on March 8th to see if the issue has resolved itself. If not, Wesley will continue to be monitored until the problem resolves itself or until it is determined it needs to be corrected via surgery.

*February 6, 2010 @ 10:45 AM - Third Appointment with Midwife
Cancelled AGAIN due to 2+ feet of snow

*February 20, 2010 @ 12:30 PM - Rescheduled Third Appointment with Midwife
Cancelled AGAIN - MW had to deliver a baby.

*February 27, 2010 @ 11:30 AM - Re-re-scheduled Third Appointment with Midwife
Everything went well. I've gained 8 lbs  since my last appointment 7 weeks ago, and the HR was 140 BPM. Fundal height is 25 inches. Got my paperwork for the 1 hour GD test.

*March 8, 2010 @ 2:30 PM - Third Ultrasound
Baby Wesley made us all laugh when we started the ultrasound - his feet were touching his forehead! After giving us a few good pictures and making sure he's still a boy, the tech got to work. His dialated renal pelvis has progressed from mild to moderate and at this point they think he most likely has a utereopelvic junction obstruction.

*March 27, 2010 @ 10:15 AM - Fourth Appointment with Midwife
All is well. Got my results fromthe glucose test - negative. Midwife wants me to try to get more iron, I'm borderline anemic. She made it a point to praise me for my small weight gain. On to every two weeks for appointments!

*April 10, 2010 @ 10:30 AM - Fifth Appointment with Midwife

*May 3, 2010 @ 3:30 PM - Fourth Ultrasound

Hey ladies! Smile I'm Amanda, new to the boards. (don't know all the abrv. yet) I am 27, my boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years. In feb./09 my prescription for BCP ended and we decided not to renew it. We would just "wing it", whatever happens, happens kinda thing. We have both wanted to have children our whole lives. We have 2 fur children Lola (pug) and Isabelle (cat)

This month I was 3 days late. Restrained myself from POAS because for me being 3 days late is normal (my periods vary from 28-32 day cycles) and I had very bad cramps. So after another few days went by on Oct.7 (now 7 days late) I decided to POAS. The second I peed on that sucker it had the 2nd line, bright and clear! My first ever BFP!!

I was so excited I called my BF at work and asked him to come home. In the mean time, I called my sister and told her the news cause I just couldn't contain myself! When my BF came home, I told him the good news, and his first reaction was "well, how do you know?" So I showed him the HPT with the BFP. We are both so thrilled to be having our first child. Smile I had a Dr. appt. on Oct. 13 with my GP to confirm, and she gave me a due date of June 10. I will have my first OB appt. in Nov. Smile

I had my OB appt. They changed my due date to June 7. I have my next appt. on Nov. 23, at which time we will hear the heartbeat with the doppler.

Had our u/s on Jan. 13.. we are not finding out the sex! It's a surprize!

DH and I have been married since April 2006. We TTC aright away but had many medical challenges. After several failed fertility treatments and one lucky rest cycle, we had a son in November of 2007. We started TTC again pretty much right away, (by not preventing), for many months before trying further treatments. No baby. We tried again for many months with treatments, many follicles, no baby. Then on our latest rest cycle, in a period where we DTD only one time... BFP!

So thankful to be here!

My hubby and I have been married over 5 years and have been TTC since. I have 2 beautiful children from my 1st marriage (my son is 12 yrs. and my daughter is 9 yrs). My hubby and I have had several m/c's and are praying this bfp will stick! We have tried everything from meds, temps, opk ect... so about a year ago we quit everything and put it in God's hands. 10/18/2009 I was laying in bed and thought hummm I am a few days late, feeling kinda sick and tired. All I had in the house was a opk and it came back + so I asked hubby to go get a hpt and it was a bfp with-in a few seconds!

Hi! I'm Amie! I've been married to my wonderful husband Kevin for 13 years! We have two kiddos, Aiden who is 3 and Alexandra who is 9 months!

I just found out I am pregnant with #3! Talk about shocking and exciting all at the same time! We had talked about it a few months ago and was even seriously considering TTC again until DH recieved orders to Guam. We decided to wait at least until we moved there which is in April of 2010.

AF never came this month. I was late on Tuesday but I decided I would wait until Wednesday to test if it didn't come by morning. My good friend offered me a test...who am I to refuse! Wink We woke up on Wednesday morning and DH looked at me and said that I wasn't going to start my period so I should test and text him immediately with the results.

So I went over to her house and tested and immediately it went positive...I had to sit down and breathe for a minute. I just couldn't believe it! I then went and bought another test and went home and took it...immediately it turned up positive!

This whole time and since the birth of my 1st child I have not been on BC but have been p/o and have never gotten pregnant this way! Me and hubby say that God really must have wanted us to have another!

1st test taken October 21 @ 10:30am

2nd test taken October 21 @ 12pm

October 27 and 29 labwork for HCG levels due to spotting
November 16@ 3:30pm also getting a U/S!!

Melane's Space

Due Date: June 23, 2010

My name is Melane (33) and my husband is Doug (35). We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this January, but have been together for 15 years. I was diagnosed in 2001 with PCOS and was on a regimen of Metformin for 3 years before we began TTC. After trying for 6 months for our first child, I had an early term MC that was about 3 weeks...I didn't even know I was pregnant. After that I didn't have another AF for a few months and we were scheduled to begin the rounds of fertility testing in early March. I had called my RE and asked for a round of Progesterone to kick start my periods again and sure enough I got pregnant while taking the meds...I truly believe that is what helped our peanut stick. I went through a pretty uneventful pregnancy and at the end was induced due to high blood pressure (I was very stressed out from work). I was induced on Monday afternoon and it was Wednesday night before I was finally taken in for an emergency c-section as I only reached 8 1/2 cm. I had an absolutely miserable c-section experience where I hyperventilated throughout, felt the surgery and was put under afterwards. However, our beautiful Ian was born on Nov 2, 2005 and will now be 4 years old in a couple of weeks.

This year started off bad due to my husband losing his job on 12/31/08. It continued to get worse as my MIL was diagnosed with Alzheimers in late March. My husband then spent almost a month in TN getting her ready to move down to FL into an assisted living center. Of course while all this was happening, I was continuing to still have major leg pain that had begun after Ian was born. Over the last year, I have been through physical therapy, MRI's, scans, 3 spinal injections, and numerous meds with nothing offering any relief. I had finally went to my neurologist who then performed a nerve test and EMG (two worst things ever!!!!!) and finally found out (while my DH was still in TN) that I had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) syndrome. This is a neuro-muscular disorder which has caused my lack of feeling in my hands/feet and my leg muscle pain. The worst part is that I found out it is hereditary, which means my kids have a 50/50 chance of inheriting it. I have a very mild form, for now, but I went through a fairly deep depression thinking that we weren't going to have any more babies, because I didn't want to risk it. After giving it a few months, we finally decided that since mine was minimal and we felt we could handle anything, we decided to start TTC. I had to wean off my migraine meds (horrible month there as the med is a psychotic) and then officially began to TTC. Because we knew we would be TTC this year, I had actually spent most of the year temping, OPK'ing so that I could get a read on my cycles.

Since we had 3 bad things this year, I kept saying we will have 3 good things! DH finally found a job at the beginning of Sep, we closed on our house on Oct 15th and I came home that night to randomly test and got a BFP after only two cycles! With my travel schedule this fall, we really thought we were going to miss a few months of TTC, but luckily hit it right between my trips. Of course I found out only 4 days before I left for 2 weeks, so I haven't really been able to enjoy this pregnancy with DH and Ian nearby. We have quite a way to end the year on a good note and fully plan on enjoying this pregnancy as the sign of hope that it has become! We are planning on a HBAC with a great midwife this go-around.

Custom Glitter Text

I had a high risk pregnancy with my son who is now 5... pre-eclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, cronic kidney infections and to top it off I tested + with GBS. Needless to say, it was with great caution and much debate, hubby (Jeff) and I decided to add to our family, unfortuantely I had a 7 week m/c May 5 2009. Well we decided to get back into the "game" immediately and after what seemed like 3 LONNNGGGGG cycles we were pleased to see a very LIGHT positive. Which now brings us to the next section.....

Custom Glitter Text

I couldn't tell if this one was positive or if I was loosing my mind!

Holy CRAP the test went SOOOO DARK before the control even finished developing! OK so maybe I'm a little more convinced!
Cassette BFP

OK so I guess I need some more convincing! $18 later...

I had some unexplained bleeding and had to go for an emergency U/S... once we saw that strong hearthbeat (170bpm)... undescribeable... Oh and I don't have a scanner, sorry about the quality.
10 wk ultrasound

3D Side View

October 13 09 - Pap, Breast Exam, Cervical Exam, Blood Work. BP starting to rise. (7 weeks)
October 20 - BP still high, emotions higher. Arguing about EDD. I say June 1 2010 DR says May 26 2010. (8weeks)
October 27 - BP still high, have to come back next week to start my BP medication. Another breast exam, other than BP all appears well. Dr wants to wait until 18 WEEKS for u/s... late December/early January... OMFG (9 weeks)
November 3 - Got an emergency appointment for an u/s tomorrow because of some bleeding yesterday (prayers needed) (10 weeks)
November 4 - Emergency Ultrasound to investigate source of bleeding. Results = Nothing found, cause for the bleeding shall remain unknown. Heart beat 170, active little bean made getting a clear pic hard! Heres to a HH9M for us all
November 12 - Doc says the ultrasound looks perfect but because my BP is still high he is putting me on Methyldopa 250mg twice a day. (11 Weeks)
November 17 - Deffinately have a kidney infection. The big issue is my blood sugar.... it was apparently 8.0 after fasting 12 hours but then an hour after drinking my crappy orange stuff (for 1 hour GTT) it was 7.9. He thinks the lab ****ed up! Tammy's Space (Yay!! I have a SPACE!)

My name is Tammy. I'm 33 and I've been married to my husband Kevin, (34), since September of 2005. We began dating in 2000, and welcomed Samantha Jayne just last year, November of 2008. She truly is the light of our life, and I can't believe we are already anticipating another!

I've never believed in fate or destiny, but let me just tell a quick story about how the man upstairs made me believe!
In the summer of 07' Kev and I decided to try and conceive. Right away we were pregnant. 8 weeks along we lost the baby, and had to go to the docs to make sure everything was back to normal. That’s when they found I had a giant cyst. Well after 6 months, the cyst only got bigger. (During this whole time, Kev and I had decided to go forward and open up our own spa. – Just keep this in mind). By December of 07’, my cyst required true surgery, after lapriscopic procedures failed. Surgery went perfectly. Doc said “don’t plan on conceiving for about 3 months, till I can make sure things are truly all back to normal”. Our response- “No problem we are undergoing a new business venture, and are putting kids on the backburner for now”
Well… 3 months later..I’m pregnant! (Even with a condom!- go figure!)
I took my test the morning of the day we were supposed to place an offer on a property. So we decided to think about it. We decided to stall the spa idea, until we knew what parenthood would bring us.

Long story short- If I wouldn’t have miscarried, they would have not found the cyst. If Sam hadn’t come along I would be locked in a new business in this awful economy. And PS- The due date for the miscarried little one, was the same date they think I conceived Sam. Now surprise! I’m pregnant again! Although this pregnancy was not truly planned, (so soon), and I’m pretty nervous about having 2 under 2, I know it’s meant to be!

My name is Leigh, and I've been married to my husband Porter since April 2005. We met in NYC in 2002, and after getting married decided we were done with the rat race and wanted to live somewhere we could have a house and dogs and kids and access to the great outdoors. So we moved to Tucson! (One family member was already here...many, many more have followed, with even more on the way! We're amassing quite an enclave.) I'm now a book designer and assistant marketing manager at a university press, and my husband is an art teacher at an environmental charter high school. We have two big, crazy dogs and a colorful little bungalow, where we've started an organic garden and are considering chickens. We try to get out hiking and camping as much as possible. Life is pretty good Smile

We'd been toying with the idea of starting our family, but hadn't yet taken the plunge when we had a surprise BFP followed by an even more surprising miscarriage the very next day in December 08. While this was quite a roller coaster, it cemented the idea that we both really were ready. We waited the advised three months and then got a BFP again in March 08...followed by another nearly immediate m/c at 5 weeks. Sure that the problem had to be hormonal and unwilling to suffer through a third loss before doing anything about it, I found an OB who was willing to put me on progesterone and we got our current BFP in October 09. So far so good! I've now been off the progesterone since week 13, and everything still seems to be going well. If we stay on track, we'll have our first little one sometime around June 28th, 2010. We could not be happier.
