Hi I'm Katherine and look forward to having a HH9M!! DH and I have been married for almost 13 years. We have a ds 9yo, dd 6yo and I am due with #3. I was pg last summer and found out just shy of 20 weeks that we lost our ds. I gave birth to him on 11/22/08 so I am very nervous and cautious with this pgcy as we have been thru a lot these past 6 months. We are however, very, very excited about this baby!

I'm Amanda, 22, married to a wonderful Canadian named James, who's 23. We've been married since July 16th, 2005, together since February 16th 2001. I plan to get my Canadian citizenship when I become eligible.

Currently (and for this next kiddo) I'm a stay-at-home mama. I have a wonderful son who was born April 1st, 2008, after 43 hours of induced labour and an hour of pushing. I'm really hoping to go on my own this time, my dream was a water birth, but we've been turned down by the midwife so had to go with the OB we had with our son. The hospital has only one water room, so now our goal is a happy healthy baby and to go into labour on our own so we can be home for awhile.

Heather's Space

Hi! My name is Heather, 33, and DH is Allan, 38. We have been married for 20 months and TTC for 13 of those months. After battling a few infertility issues and facing the real possibility of needing IVF/ICSI we conceived naturally on our 15th cycle! Yeah! I guess the HSG and the Clomid prescription in my hot little hands scared my body into working! LOL. Here we are on our wedding day (September 2007).

Here are the BFPs I got on 2009.05.30 with FMU 14DPO:

The winning chart

06.19.2009 - Baby measures 7w0d, 10.2 mm long with a heartbeat of 154 bpm.

07.15.2009 - Baby measures 44 mm long with a heartbeat of 153 bpm. Baby was moving around in there...waving his/her arms. No picture. Boooo!

09.23.2009 - Baby measures ??? long with a heartbeat of 143 bpm (she was sleeping...aweeee). Her profile:

Here is her belly on the left and her arm on the right:

This one shows her legs and feet. It looks like her ankles are crossed and her little feet are sticking straight up. She looks like she has big long feet like her mama. LOL.

And last but not least...her foot. I love this shot. Aweeee....

12.31.2009 - Baby is great! She is definitely breech with a heartbeat of 151 bpm. Ultrasound tech estimates her weight at 6lbs. Here she is face on:

This is her nose and mouth...cute little cheeks!

And this is her pudgy little leg and foot.

05.29.2009 - Nausea...vomiting...oh no!
05.30.2009 - BFP! WOAH! We're knocked up!
06.04.2009 - GP says my uterus is high?!?!?!
06.17.2009 - Prenatal made vomit. Sad Boooooo!
06.19.2009 - First u/s - baby measures 7w0d with a heartbeat of 154 bpm!
06.23.2009 - Midwife meet & greet appt.
07.14.2009 - First real midwife appt.
07.15.2009 - CVS appointment. u/s - baby measures 44mm with a heartbeat of 153 bpm.
08.04.2009 - CVS results in! All of the chromosomes look normal, no extra or missing pieces anywhere. Baby does NOT have the same deletion as DSD. Baby has double X chromosomes!!! ...looks like we're having a GIRL! YEAH!
08.11.2009 - Midwife appt., urine good, blood pressure low, up 1.5 lbs in the last 4 weeks. Heard baby's heartbeat on doppler.
09.09.2009 - Midwife appt., urine good, blood pressure low, baby's h/b was 156 on the doppler. Result of alpha fetoprotein test was negative. Scheduled detailed ultrasound.
09.23.2009 - Third, detailed, u/s - baby measures 21w4d (I'm 20w5d) with a heartbeat of 143 bpm (she was sleeping).
10.07.2009 - Midwife appt., urine good, blood pressure low, baby's h/b was 160, fundal height 24. u/s results were normal. Anterior placenta 3.5 cm away from a tightly closed cervix. Amniotic fluid and cord looked normal.
11.04.2009 - Midwife appt., everything looks good. Fundal height 27...good since I'm 26w4d.
11.10.2009 - 1 hour blood glucose test. Good times! I passed with a score of 7.1.
12.02.2009 - Midwife appt., everything looks good. Fundal height of 30 (I'm 30w4d). Abdominal palpation indicates baby could be head down. Appointments every 2 weeks now!
12.16.2009 - Midwife appt., everything is great. Baby feels to be breech! Boo! If she feels breech again at 35 weeks we will be sent for an u/s.
12.30.2009 - Midwife appt., Fundal height 33 (I'm 34w5d), baby's h/b was 148, my blood pressure 100/60. Midwife Sandy thinks baby is head down but since Margaret thinks she's breech, we're being sent for an u/s.
12.31.2009 - Fourth u/s. Baby is indeed breech. Her feet are up by her face and her head is under my left rib. h/b was 151, they estimate her size at 6 lbs and say she has a big head. Yikes. Got some cute pictures.
01.06.2010 - Midwife appt.

Third Appointment September 22nd..Gender Scan (Official)--So glad I got the other scan--horrible pictures. It's still a boy and everything looks good and healthy. I have a low lying placenta but the doctor doesn't think it will make a difference...Hooray!!

Fourth Appointment October 20th at 8:30 AM...They are getting closer together!! Now only 4 weeks apart instead of 6! Got my flu shot, my uterus is measuring 26 cm? and I'm waiting on the H1N1...

Fifth Appointment November 17th at 1 PM and 3 PM...I'm getting the Rhogam shot and they are rechecking my sugars again...Not too much else going on that I can think of...Oh! I got my H1N1!

**Ended up in the ER with a terrible UTI on November 18th...

Sixth Appointment November 24th. Passed GD. Everything normal.

Seventh Appointment December 8th. Everything within normal range, measuring 2 weeks ahead.

Eighth appointment December 22nd. He's head down!! HOORAYYY!!! I got my disability papers so everything is looking really good!

Nineth Appointment January 5th. Oops. I was scheduled to work on the 5th so I changed it to the 6th. I had the Strep test done, fundal height measuring 37 weeks. Still head down, but my cervix is closed and thick.

Tenth Appointment January 12th. Dr checked me again, fundal height still measuring 37 weeks. Dr. Seemed unconcerned, just told me to keep up the kick counts. I tested negative for Strep B. Hopefully this little boy comes soon.

Eleventh Appointment January 19th. Still measuring 37 weeks, but my cervix is thin and soft, so I'm doing something! I also lost a pound, which I haven't done this entire pregnancy. YAY! I'm looking good so far!!

Twelfth Appointment January 26th. I'm 50% effaced, and still technically closed, although my cervix has changed. The DR says that to an inexperienced Dr they might say I was 3cm dialated, but I guess it's coned right now so at the top I'm still closed and at the bottom I'm 3cm. Which is different than last week, so I guess thats better than nothin. She also felt around my abdomen and told me she thinks the baby is currently in the low 8's (meaning pounds.) I'm scared now. LOL So hopefully this guy wont hang out much longer in the belly.

Thirteenth Appointment February 2nd. I'm 2cm Dialated, 50% effaced and he is so low the Dr was touching his head. She stripped my membranes again (I guess she did it last week too, she just didn't tell me--No wonder it hurt lol) and they are guessing my boy is in the high 8 pound low 9 pound range and there is some concern about me delivering him vaginally so they are going to do an ultrasound with a specialist on Thursday.

February 4th: Had ultrasound, baby is measuring between 8-10 pounds. Fluid and placenta measuring good, everything looks normal. Haven't ruled out a vaginal birth yet.

Superbowl Sunday (yay saints!) February 7th/ Monday February 8th 2010:
Birth Story:

Around 5 PM I went to the bathroom, and as I was walking down the hallway I felt like I had peed myself again. It was weird, and I commented on it but continued to watch the Super Bowl. Lol After I went to the bathroom the second time, and stood up, water splashed on the floor. I was pretty sure it was my waters breaking, so we went to the hospital and they confirmed it in L&D. They got me hooked up to the monitors and D's heartrate was really elevated--so they gave me an IV thinking it might be dehydration and the IV would bring it down. Eventually his heartrate dropped a little and they were pleased, but they felt my contractions were not strong enough or regular enough that they put me on pitocin. About an hour into pit I asked for an epi--I was 4cm and 90%--and after I was given the epi I was much happier. About 20 minutes after that they had to take me off pit because D's heartrate was dropping and my blood pressure had dropped very low so they put me on the hands and knees position for 2 hours. And for some reason my Epi wore off on one side, so I was feeling one sided contractions that sucked just the same. Around 5 AM ish they checked me again and I was 6 CM (I'd only had the pit for about an hour because we were not tolerating it well) but the Dr felt that my contrax were not strong enough or regular enough to continue with my son's low heartrate (It had dropped to the 90's) so I had an emergency C that happened really quickly and I was scared. It was surreal to hear my son scream for the first time--they rushed him over to me, showed me, then he and my husband left and I was alone. That sucked too. Finally it was over and they wheeled me into my room where I moved from one bed to another and a nurse commented on a "little blood" but it was no big deal. I had the shakes for the next 4 hours and my skin was very itchy. I commented to my husband that I felt weird on my legs, and I reached under the blanket to touch them and when I pulled my hand out my fingers were covered in blood. I asked my husband to look down there and he immediately called a nurse. Soon my room was full of people and they were putting pressure on the c-section site, and got something I think they called a sandbag? and wheeled me to the OR. They knocked me out and had to reopen me, where they had found a vein that had clotted, filled with blood, then hemorraged. Luckily I noticed it before I lost too much blood. A little sore, a LOT tired and totally in love with my son! Pardon

After TTC for 10 months we finally did it!
I'm 38 and will be 39 when baby comes, I had GD while Pg with DD, hoping that we don't have it again this year. I want pumpkin pie and holiday cookies.

I love being pg. I can't wait until it all sinks in and I get to hear or see the heart beat for the first time.

This will be baby number 3, I have DD# 1 11 yrs old, DD#2 18months, Baby on the way. DH and I have been married 6 years by the time baby comes.

I had a miscarrage about 5 years ago so I'm a little nervous until I see the heartbeat. Won't tell the world about being pg until then.
**********
Baby's heart beat is 170 at both dr.'s appointments so far.
No weight gain as of so far 13 weeks. Smile
Ultra sound picture got messed up at the dr's office so I don't have one to post but should have and U/S in a couple of weeks.
Boy??? or Girl???

Belly shots 15 weeks
Big U/S scheduled for September 8th
Gained 1.5lbs as of 16 weeks.
20 Weeks, gained total of 3 lbs

After having some issues going of depo we concieved #1 this month. My DH and I have been married for 8 years, we were high school sweethearts. I am 27 and he is 29 and this is our 7th cycle TTC and I am dying to tell people. My mother had 3 miscarriages before me so we are being cautious and keeping the news quiet until I make it to month three.

I have been married since 1995 to my dh, Roland. We have 4 gorgeous children, 2 boys and 2 girls (perfect no. I know!) and now we're expecting baby No. 5. I will be 41 by the time he is born.

We're excited and cannot wait. This will be our last baby (well, from my body anyway!) as my dh will be getting the 'fix' by the time this little one arrives!

Anyway, I hope to make some friends here, and hope that you'll enjoy your pregnancies.:yahoo:

My Space :)

My name is Crystal, i'm 28 from Puyallup, WA, I'm a SAHM to my 3 year old Casper and we're currently expecting #2.

The BFP-

And since you're probably wondering why there's 4 tests, i'll explain the need for multiple tests lol.

Test #1 was on CD 31 June 4th, BFN so I called my dr and made an appt for a Clomid check so we could start over. Wasn't sure why AF hadn't started but figured she would soon.

Test #2 CD 33 June 6th still no AF so I decided to test again and what do you know? BFP, it was faint but it was there. I already had the dr appt set for CD 35 so I figured we'd talk about it then. I went to my appt, he did the Clomid check despite my telling them that AF hadn't shown and then he had me POAS just to make sure. Would you believe that the test came back negative? So the doctor prescribed Provera and more Clomid and there was no way that I was going to take it. My period never just doesn't start and I'd gotten pregnant with my son on a break from Clomid, which was what we'd done this cycle.

I had a friend with me and I told her that the test just couldn't be right, so she said, "Let's go pick up a test from a different Dollar Tree to make sure it wasn't a bad batch or something" So we go and do that and about 2 hours after my dr appt I'm finally home and ready to pee.

Test #3 BFP on CD 35 June 8th, 2 hours post Dr appt what do you know? So I call and tell them that I wasn't comfortable taking the provera and had tested again with a BFP at home. They said to come in the next day for a blood test.

Test #4 was simply taken out of spite lol but also with FMU to try to get the darkest line possible. I took the bottom 2 tests with me to my doctor appointment so they'd know that I wasn't crazy and of course the blood test on CD 36 June 9th, came back positive at 117 as well as the test on CD 38 June 11th, which was 304.

I go back on wednesday June, 17th which will be CD 44 for one more beta then they'll schedule the u/s. That's my story for now I guess.

Oh! We were TTC for 2 months, which I'm thankful for because it took a year and a half and a m/c with my son, so this time has been a blessing to be so short.

I'll add a few pics of my little man and then update when I get the U/s pics Smile

Wanting to be like Daddy Smile

Pool Time!

Update for 06.18.09-
Got my beta results from yesterdays draw and the number was 4694 yay! So we have an ultrasound scheduled for June 25th at 9:45am!

Update for 08.03.09-
12 week checkup, HB-165bpm
next appt 09.10.09 for AFP and scheduling of the BIG U/S

It is with great sadness that I removed my BB space here.

***FINAL UPDATE: Sac was still empty at appt. on July 20, and the sac is collapsing on itself even more. Doctor thinks mc is definitely inevitable now. She said that even though my beta number had gone back up, it still had not gone back up enough, and that my body just had not recognized yet that the pg'cy had ended.***

***UPDATE: After having gone down a little, my beta number went back up again  -- so there may be hope afterall. This has me completely baffled. Now I regret removing my BB space but I really thought it was over. I have continued to spot off and on, though it has been all brownish, sometimes very dark brown. No cramps whatsoever, though. Only twinges here and there. I have also continued to take my weekly belly pics so that I can post them if this winds up being good news. My next appointment is on Monday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m. For anyone who reads this, prayers would be so appreciated.***

I guess i should reserve my space.

I'm Krista (21) married to DH (25) for almost 2 years. We have a little boy (1 year in July) and he is seriously the cutest thing in the world. My pregnancy with DS was great! I was nauseated for the first 3 months and then the day i turned 3 months it just went away. I started latent labor or pre labor at 37 weeks and ended up having to be induced at 41 weeks. I do not recommend being in pre labor for 4 weeks or being induced. But it was a good thing i had him when i did because the placenta was starting to calcify. I'm hoping with this next one i go into labor on my own because my plan is to go natural. I'm also hoping i don't go to 41 weeks again but if i do oh well. Smile

pic of ds

Pic of pregnancy test. Here comes #2!

I got a pregnant result with in the first minute and it was the day before my preiod was even due.

My first OB appointment is July 20th.
I will find out then when my due date is but everything i have been getting is between February 24th-28th.

Jackie's Space

My name is Jackie. I have been married to DH - Bobby for four years. We have a son, Adam, who will be three in September. I had pre-ecampsia with him so we will see what happens this round.

I got off of BCP May 2. The week of June 2, I took four HPT. Two were negative, the other two were positive ... after the waiting period. I had bloodwork done on June 3 - hcg levels were 0 - not pg. On June 17, I took another test and it was instantly positive.

Photobucket

I went in for bloodwork that same day and my hcg was between 5000-6000. My nurse told me she was expecting it to be about 1000. I asked if it could be twins and she said probably not. Then, the dr's first comment was, "Could it be twins?" I went for an u/s on June 18. We saw the yolk sac - going back on the 25th for u/s #2. Ultrasound #2 showed 1 sac and one heartbeat.

Birth story..

So I knew of my babys birth day for 3 wks...I counted them days down till tues(the night before c/s) I was excited but sad as this my last pregnancy. I couldnt get to sleep knowing my baby would be born in a few short hours...the moment a woman has kids she waits for her daughter to be born...it was finally happening...I had my boys now it was time for my girl.
So at 4:45am I got dressed and by 5am I was ready...we left the house for the hospital by 510am,got there at 5:40 am (a nice quiet night drive). It was quiet at the labor and delivery and as soon as I came in they got me in my room and prepared for my c-section(iv,cath,acid reducing drink and shaved)

my last belly pic)

(was so tired)

(my dh in his baby uniform)
it all went fast and before I knew it I was getting in to the OR,getting my epi in(I had the epidoral shock this time...ekk) and they had started.one nurse asked "What is your name and what are you in here for today." Of course my tubal and a c-section.
My hubby came in and held my hand...at 731 am Julia was born with, as predicted a bush of black hair, and a fiesty cry...

(just born)

"It a GIRL." was cried by the nurses...I was in my own world of happiness and shock..
They asked me if I was sure I wanted a tubal...I was sure...later on they told me it was a good thing due to my thin uterus.
Once closed up they wheeled me in the post Opp/pre Opp room...I was super exhausted and couldnt keep my eyes open...Jewels was with grandpa and Daddy...she was safe..
I was put in my own room where all the nurses (due to me having one of few babies born that day) knew of Julia being my last and only girl of 4 kiddos...so she got blankies and other stuff for a girl

(1st bath)
...it was nice...to be honest I never had a kid at that hospital and didnt have good experiances there either...but it was a great birth there and all went better than planned.
Julia is a super calm, quiet baby unless she is dirty/hungry she has a zesty cry...she is a great nurser...what a way to complete my family!

Hi, My name is Stephanie (24) im married to the most wonderfulest man on earth, Brandon (28 ) we have 4 dogs and too many cats lol.

DH and his dad on christmas 2008:

We found out I was preggo on 6.28.09 after aunt flow being late and me just generally not feeling good.

Thankfully I haven't had any morning sickness to speak of, just some minor nausea. The biggest obstacle to overcome is the tiredness, and my new found incredible sense of smell. We've only had one u/s so far at 8 weeks:

Here are some belly pics:

Weirdly enough I got smaller after the 12 week mark, maybe because my bloating went down? Im not complaining though Smile

Our next appointment is 09.11.09 and then our gender u/s is the next day!

My name is Julie, DH of 4.5 years is Steven. Isaac is our first little one, and one of pg.org's Little Acorns from Nov 07. He was born at 34 weeks due to preterm labor that I had dealt with for 2 months prior to his birth. He was 4lbs 15oz and 17" at birth, but only had to stay in the NICU for 6 days before coming home with us. Here's hoping that this pregnancy is very different from my last and this one will bake the whole time!!! We are so excited to be expecting a little sibling for Isaac, as both DH and I grew up as only children.

We live in Texas, midway between Houston and Galveston Island. We both work in Galveston, and are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurrican Ike which affected our lives tremendously. I am a graduate student working on my Ph.D. in biomedical research, specializing in immunology. I conduct my research at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children, working on a treatment to improve the damaged immune systems in burn patients to prevent deadly infections. I hope to graduate in 2010. After that, I have no idea what I want to do with it!! Steve is an IT specialist for a major insurance company, working on computers all day long. My MIL lives 1 block away and comes to our home during the day to watch Isaac for us. She moved here after the hurricane closed down Isaac's daycare, and she has been a lifesaver for us.

Reserving my place here Smile

I'm K, married to J, we already have 2 beautiful boys who have me on my toes all day!
My husband got back from Iraq, and we were secretly hoping we'd get pregnant quickly...it worked!

This pic was taken June 1st, a few days before AF was supposed to show up (sorry, cell phone picture with shaky hands) Very faint pink line, taken in the middle of the night when DH went to work.

We were out of tests, so the next night we went and got a Clear Blue Easy test, took the first one that night, came back not pregnant. Took the other one the next morning and it came back positive. (sorry, camera date is wrong and I don't know how to fix it!)

Had first appointment on 26 June, just talked to a nurse
Have another appointment on the 29th of July for our first U/S and to meet with the midwife.

We won't be finding out what the baby is this time, but we're hoping for a girl.

Hi. My Name is Steph & I have been married to J for 5 years (together for 10.) We have a wonderful son, Andrew, that was born 12-22-07. We have been TTC since last September - Hurricane Ike slowed our plans, as we were displaced until March of this year. We found out we were pregnant in the ER after an 20 foot extension ladder slipped out from under me, an event we now refer to as ladder surfing.

About Me

I'm a 30-year-old law student, currently living in Arizona. I'm from Northern California, though, and lived there until two years ago. I miss it, and I can't wait to move back!

Another minor detail: I'm a little obsessive about medical research and health. There are lots of reasons for this (see below, for example), but one major reason is that, until 2006, I was morbidly obese-- even when I was a little kid. I've managed to get it under control, but it's taken tons of work, commitment, and understanding of how my metabolism was screwing me up!

About my Husband

I met my husband, Paul, our first year of college. He dropped out after that year, but I finished-- apparently I'm the overachiever. We'll be celebrating our 12th anniversary (of couplehood, not marriage) in December.

Until two years ago, he worked in the wine industry. Now he's a stay at home dad, which he loves, and he's looking forward to having another kiddo to cuddle. He's really into body mods, and has spent more money than I'd like to admit on gorgeous tattoo work. Most of it's visible, so it's a good thing he's not working at the moment. Stay at home parenting has some definite benefits!

I am a 29 year old registered nurse who works on a postpartum floor. I have been married for 12 1/2 years to Patrick, and we have two wonderful boys, Brent who will turn 13 in February (right before the baby is due!) and Kyle who will be 8 in October. We are so excited about this new little one! We have been married since 1997 when we had our first child at the ages of 16 and 18. One of the odd couples that survive!

As of currently my home computer is not working and I can only get online at work... Computer should be fixed this week though and then I will update this space!!!

I suppose I should do one of these..

My name's Megan, I'm 28 and live in Ontario, Canada. My SO and I have been together nearly 5 years (although just became common-law last month). This pregnancy was planned (despite the shocked looks his parents gave us when we told them).

We aren't finding out the gender (or aren't planning to, if (s)he flashes us through the u/s who knows..).
got to see the LO (actually a child, not an alien species as I feared), got to hear the heartbeat, didn't ask what the rate was, they were understaffed as it was and bean was being uncooperative as it was. Picture above..
July 23 - Research appt
I'm participating in a research study looking at the effects of air quality/environmental factors on mothers and children and breast milk. This was the first appointment with the nurse. There was about 40 minutes worth of questions about eating habits, household cleaners, paint etc. and the she took 4 vials of blood and a urine sample.
Aug 5 - second midwife appointment
Heard the heartbeat - 154, and went over the ultrasound. MW told me that everything looked good, but that I'm about a week further than we'd thought. My placenta is growing in the front, so likely no real movement detection until later. BP - 110/70.
