Christine's Space

Married with a son born in Dec. 08. Very excited about another baby! Hoping for a girl.

1/3/10 BFP
1/13/10 First OB appointment (just confirmed pregnancy and did internal exam), EDD 9/13
1/28/10 First U/S! Saw the heartbeat. Doc changed EDD to 9/17 based on baby measurements.
2/25/10 Heard the heartbeat. 130 bmp
Week of 3/7 Started feeling baby movements - 12th week of pregnancy
Next appointment: 3/24

Hi! I'm Brandi (30) and am married to Brian (30). We have a lovely daughter, Camille, who turned 2 in February. I am very excited to have gotten my BFP on Jan 4...it looks like my due date is Sep 13, 2010.

Jan 26: 7 week u/s
Perfect! Bean was measuring 7 weeks, 1 day and had a heartbeat of 143. My OB was very optimistic, and told me to call her if I needed reassurance and wanted to come in and see the bean again anytime in the next month! So sweet...love her!
Feb 25: 11 week appt
Another great appt...got a mini-u/s on the portable machine and saw a very active baby with little arms and legs! My OB (subconsciously?) referred to my "girls" sharing a bedroom someday, so DH is convinced that she saw something we didn't on the u/s! I told him it's a bit early for that, but he is convinced!
March 25: 15 week appt
Wonderful...quick and easy appt. Heard hb on the doppler...140s again. I'm finally feeling safe with this pg!
April 22: Anatomy u/s

My name is Jamie and my DH is Matt. We are a coast guard family currently stationed in Northeastern NC. We have one son, Jack, who just turned two on December 1st. He is the light of our lives. We had three miscarriages before Jack's successful pregnancy. I am a little nervous about this little bean but only due to our previous experiences. As of right now, we are due September 7th!

Anna's Space

Hello! I am Anna. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost eight years. We have a son who will be four in April. We have been trying to conceive our second child for 2.5 years. We had two IVF cycles that did not make it to transfer. This was our second month using IUI with injectables and I got three BFPs yesterday. I honestly didn't think it would ever happen for me again. So, we are really excited/nervous. I don't know how to put in pictures, but will hopefully learn soon. I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi everyone my name is Jessica-28 and my husbands name is John-31 we've been married since September 22, 2003. We started to TTC in 2006 and went through IUI's with clomid. We stopped infertility treatments in Nov 08 to save up for IVF and received a suprise BFP on the 5th. I'm so excited to be here since I convenced myself this would never happen. I think I'm due 9/9/10 and will update tomorrow after my first OB appt.

Eva's Space

I'm Eva, and I'm biting the bullet and making a "space." I'm leery of doing so because I've had two previous losses, had to delete two previous spaces and had to say good bye to two previous birth boards, all of which was very hard. But, you have to take the plunge at some point, don't you?

So, I'm 37 and my husband Eric is 36. And we are thumbing our noses at Mother Nature and are determined to have a child, our first, at this advanced age. We've been married for 3 and a half years, but have been together for six. We started trying two and a half years ago, and I got pregnant right off the bat, but, as I mentioned, I miscarried and became extremely nervous about trying again. In fact, I put the kibosh on the whole project soon after, and only recently decided to make another go of it. In the meantime, all of our motherly and fatherly love is going into the kitten, Morgan (picture below). I'd give you a full description of her, but that'd just be weird.

Katie's Space

I'm Katie (30) and I've been married to DH, Shawn (29) for four years. I have a 2 year old named Allie who is the delight of our lives. We are so excited about #2. I got my BFP on 1/11/10. My EDD is September 18. I am a teacher, so the beginning of the school year is going to be interesting!

I'm Manda (26), married to Mark (32). This is our 3rd baby. We have a daughter (Stella) who is 2, and a son (Sebastien) who is 1. We love our kiddos, but I think this is going to be the last babe, at least for a while.
We got preg right of the bat (first cycle) for all 3 kids... with the first two being surprises (with stella, we decided to start trying, and before our first cycle of 'trying' we found out I was preg; Seb was my first cycle after stella was born and a total moment... but both were very welcome, and we are very blessed). I'm a doula and childbirth educator, so birth is my life. I'm writing a book right now about the culture of birth in Northern Ontario, and it's also my Master's thesis project.

Mark is a chef, and food is a HUGE part of our lives... I'm a big health food nut, and I love finding new delicious and healthy recipes. I'm also a tattoo nut, and I'm pretty inked up.

I homebirth, breastfeed and attachment parent.

Basically, I'll be your resident hippy.
