Hi, I'm Laura! I'm 26, and my DH and I have been married for 3 years. We have 1 son, Bradley, who was born on August 31, 2006. We are absolutely thrilled to be expecting our 2nd child in late October/early November!

Our son Bradley, then and now!

Can't wait to meet you, #2!

The winning chart! ...................................... I got my first (very faint) BFP at 11dpo

    No denying these!

March 5th - Unexpected visit to the ER at 5 weeks, 6 days. No fun, but !!! Baby is measuring right on and its little heart is thumping away!

March 31st - 1st appointment with new OB.
I didn't get an u/s like I had hoped, but it was still a great appt! I love my new OB - the nurses and office staff are wonderful, too! Did all the usual 1st appt stuff - glad that's out of the way! We heard the heartbeat on the doppler (appx 180 bpm) and everything looks great!

April 29th - 2nd OB appt - 13 wks, 6 days - Uneventful, but good appt! 3lbs gained and bub's heartbeat was 154 bpm. We scheduled my big U/S! It's on June 11th - how will I wait that long?!

May 27th - 3rd OB appt - 17 wks, 6 days! Another uneventful but good appt! 4 lbs gained since the last appt (8 lbs total), bub's heart beat was between 155 and 160 bpm. I'm measuring right at 18 weeks. 2 more weeks until my big u/s - the wait is killing me!

    June 11th - BIG ultrasound!!!!

Baby Names - BabyNamey.com Name Badge Ticker

I'm a ! We're so excited to be having another little man. I can't wait to see my guys playing together!

We weren't able to get very good pictures or see a whole lot at the u/s. My little guy was very shy and was facing away from us most of the time. These are not the greatest pics, but the best my OB was able to get of my stubborn boy!

We got to see him practicing his smiles! He would smile, then frown, then smile, then frown. Luckily, she hit the print key right during a smile... woohoo!

My little skeleton pig baby Plus hands and feet.

June 24th - 4th OB appt 21 weeks, 5 days - 30 minute drive for a 3 minute appointment Everything looks great! I gained 1 lb last month making the grand total 9 lbs so far. I'm measuring 22 weeks and she said he has a "very strong heart beat."

July 23rd - 5th OB appt - 26 weeks! Another perfect(ly boring) appointment! I got my delicious orange sugar water and am to do my glucose test within the next two weeks. YUCK! Tyler's heartrate was between 138 and 140, and mama has gained 8 lbs since the last appointment 17 lbs total so far. I start going to appts every 2 weeks now... wow!

July 30th - 27 weeks! Was subjected to 1 hour of glucose testing fun! Keep your fingers crossed - I don't want to do the 3 hour test again!

    August 2nd - 3d/4d ultrasound!

What a cool experience! Tyler was very stubborn yet again though and only showed his sweet face for about a minute. He is in frank breech position, meaning his legs are sticking straight up. So, we got lots of views of his cute little feet instead of his face It was still really neat to see our little cutie pie!

August 5th - 6th OB appt I PASSED THE 1 HOUR!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSS! I'm SO relieved I also somehow managed to lose 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks. I wish I knew what my secret was!

    August 20th - 7th OB appt

Ok, I slacked off on updating my appointments. They've all gone well

October 16th - 38 weeks, 1 day! Had my first cervical check! I'm 3 cm dilated, cervix is soft and baby is at -1 station. Eek!

    Tyler is here!!!
Tyler was born at 38 weeks, 4 days on October 19th at 4:07 a.m. The birth was wonderful, and Tyler is just perfect in every way!

Hi, I'm Kerry (29), I've been married to Mark (37) for 6 1/2 years, together for 12 years. We have 2 sons and an angel. Connor is 7 and Jamie is 4. We felt very blessed before as Jamie was born with congenital heart disease and had to have heart surgery when he was 9 months old, but he fought back and is doing so well. We now feel even more blessed to be expecting another miracle!

BFP @ 12DPO : EDD 29th October by dating scan, I still say 3rd November by Ov date.

    13w+1d scan pics

    20w+1d scan pics

    Fetal echo scan pics, 22w+6d

    Fetal Echo Scan pics, 31+6

Booking in appt with the midwife: 26th March @ 11.15am
    Dating ultrasound: 24th April @ 1.50pm, yay for a nice healthy baby...just 1!

    1st appt with OB consultant: 29th April @ 11.20am, waste of time...grrrr!
2nd midwife appt: 19th May @ 2pm, looking good, blood results all show low risk
20 week "Big" ultrasound: 12th June @ 2.30pm, everything went well, we're having a boy!
Fetal echocardiogram: 1st July @ 2.30pm, our baby has a healthy heart, we are delighted!!
24 week midwife appt: 14th July @ 2.10pm, still looking good. Fundal height 28cm. Told I can't give birth at a dedicated birthing centre, oh well! Back in 4 weeks for bloods and next appt.
28 week midwife appt: 11th August @ 2pm, Bloods done, had to draw from vein in back of hand, lol! Midwife pretty sure I'm anemic, get results thursday. BP 100/70, urine clear, fundal height 34cm, decided to schedule next appt for after next fetal echo
2nd Fetal Echo: 2nd September @ 2.00pm: Baby is absolutely perfect looking and predicted to weight 5lb 1oz at 32 weeks.
32 week midwife appt: 8th September @ 2.20pm: BP 106/64, urine clear, fundal height 35.5cm, baby head down, not engaged. Everything looks good. Will have to have another growth scan after next appt to see how big baby actually is before committing to a home birth.
34 week midwife appt: 22nd September @ 2.40pm. Saw a different midwife who seemed quite pro homebirth! Although fundal height was 37cm (at 34+5), she commented that although I look big, when palpated, baby feels "average", certainly not as big as my fundal height suggests. as I am away next week, she managed to get me booked for my growth scan on Wednesday to estimate fetal weight. Had FBC drawn again today to re-check iron levels, which need to be 10.5 for a homebirth. Everything else was great, BP low at 98/54, keytones in urine but that sample was from this morning and I was a little dehydrated. I feel like I have taken a step closer to getting the birth I want.
Growth scan: 24th Spetember @ 12.10pm: This went extreamly well, baby weighs approx 6lb 5oz as of right now and is estimated to be between 8 & 9lb at birth, yay! That's exactly what I said all along.
36 week midwife appt: 6th October @ 2.40pm: Everything with my health looks great, BP 104/68, NAD in urine, 38cm fundal height (!). Baby is cephalic and still free floating, which is how he will probably remain until he's born. Midwife says obstetrically there is no reason I can have a homebirth but it has to be OK'd by the OB. Grrrr! IN the meantime she is coming to the house later this week to drop off my kit and carry out a risk assessment, so looks like it will go ahead or I will be calling up when I go into labour and refusing to go in and insisting they send a midwife to me. I WILL get the birth I want unless a medical emergency crops up.
OB appt: 14th October @ 10.10am: I had an OB appt this morning that for once, went very well and for the first time this pregnancy, I was handed what I wanted on a platter! I told her I only came in for the OK for a homebirth, she looked through my notes, said it shouldn't be a problem but that she would have a quick word with the consultant (I saw a registrar) and came back saying "Yes, no problem, we wish you all the best, off you go"! I am THRILLED and super duper excited!
38 week midwife appt: 20th October @ 3pm: Everything still going swimmingly. Got checked by the practice nurse who is also qualified in midwifery. BP was normal 123/65, negative urine test, good heartbeat & movement, baby still 4/5th, so still sitting at the brim. Fundal height 42cm.
39 midwife appt: 27th October @ 2.05: BP 120/70, baby head down, not engaged, urine clear, sweep booked for next week.
40 week midwife appt: 3rd November: Urine clear, fundal height 45cm(!), BP increased slightly at 130/80, baby 4/5 engaged, but dropped a little further after I went to pee. Very gentle sweep performed as baby's head too high for anything else. Was told that I am very squidgy and ripe but cervix still posterior.
41 Week appt: 7th Nov @ 2.15 for another sweep

    **First Ultrasound**
    2/29/2008
Well we had our first ultrasound....We saw the egg sac, but couldn't see much more. The tech said to come back in 10 days and we should FOR SURE be able to see the heartbeat!

    **Second Ultrasound**
3/13/2008 We saw the heart beat and egg sac, it's like 3 times larger now!! You can't see much in these photos but thought I would share anyways! the baby measured about 6.5 weeks in these photos...right on track!
    Baby in lower bottom!!

The heartbeat was 141 bpm, the tech said that for this age that is GREAT!!

Egg Sac, it's WAY bigger now!

    Janae's Space

Hi, I am Janae (29) married to Matt for 10 1/2 years. We have four boys Chase-9, Trey-7, Layton-4.5, and Zander-8.5 months. After the birth of Zander this past summer I had a feeling that we had another baby "waiting" on us. So we decided to start TTC after Zander turned 6 months old. Our first cycle was a bust because DH was out of town. But this second cycle was it and we are now expecting baby #5. It is strange to think that we will have 5 kids...It makes me feel so old. We are thrilled. I am hoping for pink but would love to have another boy too...they are so much fun!

My name is Katie (25), I married my husband, Dustin (26) in August of 2003 and we have two sons, Elijah (3) and Evan (2). DH works out of town a lot and he came home for the weekend in early Feb 2008 for three days and in that time, we got pregnant! I got my first BFP on 2-19-08 and we were super excited! Well DH more nervous. We are super excited to have an October baby. I have an EDD of 10-30-08 (U/S) or 11-3-08 (LMP). This is what we had planned since after having Evan...kinda weird how that worked out! We are going with all E names so yes this will be another E. Wasn't planned that way from the start but the only names we could agree on were E names so I guess now we will keep that going. Ohhh and I am so excited to cloth a newborn butt! We started cloth diapers when Evan was about 18 months and I can't wait for this little one! We are planning a homebirth with a midwife in a birthing pool. Hopefully it will all work out!
