I took a prescription pill called Domperidone last time to boost my milk....and HOLY COW did it boost my milk! Maybe you could try that. Another thought I had is that the yeast in beer is supposed to help with milk production. This idea is great for two reasons....you get to have a beer....and it boosts your milk! If you have some pumped milk stored and can give a bottle of BM it's worth a try. I had a sweet sweet Corona the other night and my milk increased the extra day....I didn't need an increase but it helped build my freezer stash :) GL and try to stay strong and stick with it a little longer. It's hard, and believe me I hear you about having a toddler. A girl on my previous BB gave me the idea of a BF toy box for my toddler. It's toys that she only gets to play with while I'm BF, so they seem new and exciting and keep her entertained really well so I can dedicate the concentration I need to for a proper feed with Karah. Maybe you could give that a try? Mine isn't full of expensive toys....just toys that are new to her....some from dollar store, clearance at Walmart etc.
Aly has latched without a shield several times today so far!!!!
YEAH!!! WTG Aly. That's awesome!
YAY Aly! That is great Hooch. :)
The BF toy box is a great idea Eilidh. I had never thought of that before.
Hang in there Erica. I was in the same place emotionally as you were with the BFing when Nico was born as well. :bigarmhug: Have you seen a LC? Honestly, it worked wonders for me. I went in once and she showed me exactly how to get this little guy to latch with no problems. I just couldn't get him to latch on for the life of me (and I successfully BFed Addy for 13 months, with no LC help) Maybe a professional can help you with different techniques to get the little guy to stay on and move to the second boobie??
wow, can't believe I am just today finding this thread. So glad to know others are sharing the exact same issues as I am.
I started on the Mother's Milk tea last night to help my supply...that is something else everyone can try that needs a little supply boost.
I tried the Fenugreek and Reglan was DS and neither seemed to help but I was pumping then too and I think that really hurt my supply.
Gah! I ordered some milk storage bags from Amazon and they still aren't here! I've run out of bottles  I'm gonna have to have DH feed her from the bottles just so I can keep my pumping up.
Reading about the nipple shield possibly decreasing supply gave me quite a scare...
I've been using one for over a month now and haven't noticed any problems, but how do you tell?
(I don't know that we could BF without it - it seems like the more she sucks or I pump, the flatter they get.)
Ok, just have to put it out there...Pam Anderson ain't got nothin on me. Pretty sure I am about a 34H right now, SO glad for stretchy sleep bras and nursing tanks!
I hear you! I think (haven't found a bra to test though) that I'm a 34F when drained and a 34G when full - I literally live in my nursing tanks...nothing else comes close to fitting!

And where do you find a 34F-G nursing or even non-underwire bra? And if those mythical garments don't exist ;), when is it safe to wear underwire again?
