Jared's cousin had this happen to him. He was holding his son with no shirt on one day and little JJ latched right on. LOL!! I keep reminding Jared of that. I would love for her to get him.

She got him again today, sort of...

In high school, DH once pulled out the neckline of my shirt and sneezed down my cleavage - and I've never let him live it down. Well, he was holding Ellsabunny on his chest this morning and - with perfect timing - she let out a huge sneeze just as he opened his mouth to yawn. Revenge is sweet .

    I cleared my blocked duct!

    What worked:

Warm compress (hot water in a disposable diaper works great!) starting 15 min before feeding.
    Massaging the area.
Back to back feedings from the same breast.
And laying her flat on the floor and positioning my breast directly above her (let gravity do the work).

It sounded bizarre when I read about it online, but within 3-4 min of nursing it worked !

That is awesome Jade!! I bet that is a relief.

I am trying to get myself in the mindset to start pumping again. After having to EP for the first 18 days of Nico's life, I am just so anti-pump right now. I need to be...well, pumped up for it! (no pun intended ) I do have a stash in the freezer that is pretty good, but I really want a lot for when I go back to work full time (not until January, but still...)

And on a BFing cuteness note, my 2.5 year old daughter has started feeding her dolls. She pulls up her shirts, sticks the baby under, and says, "Drink milk baby". It is the cutest thing (although writing it down doesn't fully convey the cuteness of it )

YEAH for no more blocked duct!!!

Steph, that's adorable....Khloe sticks her doll's bottle up against her boob and feeds it to her. She's got half the concept....lol

So, Karah was so miserable the other night that I started convincing myself that maybe I wasn't making enough milk. I know it's pretty much a myth, but still. I pumped to make sure there was something there and there's TONS!!! We're doing better today and I know there's lots of milk there, so I'm stressing so much less.

Yup - Ellsabunny wanted to eat all the time this last week and I was worried about the same thing... well, now she's back to a more normal time between feedings, and it feels like I have milk overload. If she just wanted more available at her regular feedings, she certainly got it!
