Thanks. I think I will ask my doctor about this. I am a little more comfortable with a prescription than a herb.

Also she is going longer between feedings and sleeping alot.... not sure if that is a result of her shots or I think she is sleeping longer than she really is. I loose track of time so easy... enough sidetrack.
If she is STTN and not fussy, then she is fine. A hungry baby is a fussy baby.

I talked to the nurse at my doctors office. Nothing came back in my blood work that she knows of so as soon as I am off the antibiotic and 48 hours after my tubal on Tuesday I am good to go. I also talked to her about my supply issues. She said there is a prescription they would be happy to give me but most insurances do not cover it so $60-$80/month. We decided I am going to stop the pill and use condoms (less than a week is doable). She also said it would be fine to take the herb. I went to Earth Fare and it was the most amazing experience. The store just opened yesterday so there were at least 200 people there. (Now understand, I am a Walmart shopper). The customer service was phenomenal. The worker showed me right were it was, how to use it and everything. Then this woman over heard us and started talking to me a mile a minute about Fenugreek. She said it is bitter and should take Raspberry leaf tea instead. What was cheapest and how the leaves expand and everything. She even left her phone number. I was dazed. She was so passionate about it.

So I came home and tried it. I hope I did it right. I was laughing because I got one of those little tea things that was on NCIS Los Angeles a few weeks ago.

So after drinking four cups of Raspberry leaf tea last night and not taking BC last night. This is what happens. After 1 hour of pumping yesterday morning 2 oz. After 1 hour of pumping this morning. 1 1/2 oz.

((HUGS)) Maybe it takes some time to build up in your system? I'm sorry. I wish I knew more about this stuff. I've just done oatmeal....lots and lots of oatmeal if my suppy started dropping (which it did a few times with DS). HN Cheerios, oatmeal, oatmeal cherry (or raisin) cookies, no bake chocolate cookies....you name the oats! And of course, more pumping sessions.

I remember seeing on here somewhere a recipe for lactation cookies.....where the heck was it????

This morning I got 2 1/2 oz. I was pretty excited. (silly I know). Last night before bed I got 1 1/2oz witch was the same I had gotten first thing that morning and I normally get a lot less at night.

I am not sure if it was the crazy amount of pumping I did or not being on the pill. Caitlyn eats 4oz at a time, so I would be happy if I got 2oz each feeding. 4oz would be even better, but any little bit will help.

I am done with my antibiotic tomorrow. Does anyone know how long it takes for it to be out of your system? I finish the antibiotic on Sunday. Then Tuesday I am having my tubes tied and have to pump and dump for 48 hours after that. Would you give her Monday's milk or wait until Thursday? My lab work came back clear.

I googled and found this recipe for lactation cookies. They recommend 4 cookies a day, which shouldn't be too hard

    Housepoet's Famous Lactation Boosting Cookies

    1 c butter
    1 c sugar
    1 c brown sugar
    4 tbsp water
    2 tbsp flaxseed
    meal
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 c flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp
    salt
3 c oats (thick cut is better)
1 c or more chocolate chips (or
    raisins)
2 tbsp Brewer's yeast (be generous)

Preheat oven to 375. Mix together flaxseed meal and water and set aside for 3-5 minutes. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir flaxseed mixture and add with vanilla to butter mixture.

Beat until blended. Sift dry ingredients together, except oats and chips. Add to butter mixture. Stir in oats then chips. Scoop onto a baking sheet and bake 8-12 minutes.

    6 dozen cookies.

I think I have all of that except flaxseed. Where do you get that? I have been having one bowl of old fashioned oatmeal a day.

I think the best place to find flaxseed is a whole foods type store, but some grocery stores might have it.
