My supply has dropped in the last week. I was making 3 bottles worth in my early AM session alone and now I'm just over 2 bottles. My other sessions seem to be down at least an ounce, if not tow. I am attributing it to lack of sleep and dehydration since the holidays have totally screwed up my schedule (pumping and otherwise). I'll be replacing my pump membranes tomorrow. I started pushing the water today and saw some increase. I really liked where I was at since I was able to make more than enough for my baby and donate. I'm still making enough for Aly, but would like to be able to continue to donate too. Hm...maybe I'll grab a quick bowl of HN Cheerios before I go to bed!
Hooch - Sorry your milk supply is down a little. It is frustrating. I am getting between 2-4oz in the morning and 1-2oz each time after that. I know some of it is that I need to pump more, and I plan to as life returns to normal, but it is frustrating.
still down from before, but improving. Need more sleep....we're working on a basement renovation in the evenings after the kids go down, so in addition to the holidays screwing up my schedule, burning the midnight oil with this project isn't helping. But with more cheerios and water, it's coming back. I also added another session back in and will probably add more today too.
Welcome Kendall & congrats on baby Harper! I bet we're hitting that wakeful period here too. Aly was up 3x last night and 2x the previous 2 nights. Last night could have been due to shots, but the previous 2 were just odd.
I went to the store today and bought plain Fenugreek to see if it will work better then the Mother's milk tea. It really does not taste bad like I had heard. We will see if it works and better though. I am still getting about 1/2 of what Caitlyn is eating. I would love to up that. I am excited though that she is no longer having pink in her bottles.
Bonita, that is awesome that there is no more pink, and yay for 1/2 breastmilk! I hope the fenugreek works for you!
Hooch, I ended up EPing today; long story short, Hunter is sick so wouldn't nurse in the AM so I pumped to relieve engorgement, then I worked, then I wanted to use up all the thawed milk. I have so much respect for you and my friend IRL who do that, it is so much work, looking at the 8 bottles I've used today and knowing I have to wash them stresses me out. I can't imagine doing that every day. Hunter hasn't eaten much all day, I ended up with 14 more ounces than he ate. I really need to pump more often so I can donate.
Thanks. I don't think it actually was gone in the first place, I just thought it was
How is your baby doing? How much does she weigh now? That is great that you are BFing again. I want to BF so much that my breasts ache sometimes. If we ever can can get rid of the pink stuff and I have enough milk I would still like to try. I think she could now because she will suck on my knuckle.
