-7-6-11-First appt was great got to see our sweet LO and hear the heartbeat. BP is raised protein in urine given a 24hr urine test & blood work.
-7/11/11-BP test, major cramping and blurred vision. Results of 24 hour urine test showed high protein, as did the PIAC test. Raised my BP meds [doubled] and put on modified bedrest. Go back Thursday.

8/22-measurment of fondus/uterus is two weeks ahead. Will check again in 3 weeks to see if edd needs to be changed. Bp is finally starting to normalize. Protein in urine not enough to worry. Told to wear a belly band for a grinding pelvis.
UltraSound9/15:Shows we are having a BOY! <3 Scans show possible holes in the heart and we will need to go back at 23 weeks to take a closer look.
OB appointment 9/20: Was told my BP is awesome (: Baby sounds and for the most part looks good. OB stated that she wants a full anatomy scan done again, as well as a specialist view by a high risk doc to take a look at the heart and face/neck.
Ultrasound 10/10Rowan has a small hole in the heart, most likely nothing to worry about but will keep an eye on it. 2 calcium deposits on the heart as well. Soft marker for DS 1-3%. Everything else looks great. 1.5 lbs @ 23 weeks
24 week OB apptTested positive for fFN [fetal fibronectin], puts me at risk for pre term labor. Modified bed rest for the +fFN and that I am having lots of BHCs, loosing a lot of mucus plug.

My name is Elin, 26 and DH is Jeff, 25. We have one wonderful son, Ronan, who was born December 30th, 2010. We were not planning on having another baby this soon, but we are very excited and know it was meant to be! I currently am able to stay home with Ronan which is so amazing, but may be going back part time sometime soon- we'll see. My cycles are not very predictable so I'm not sure our due date exactly- but sometime between February 1st and 8th? We got our BFP May 24th.

6/29- 9 AM- BP 116/74, Saw baby on ultrasound- due date 2/2/2012!
7/27- 9 AM- Up 3 lbs, BP 128/80, Heard hearbeat on doppler- high 160s, doc said measuring more like 14- 15 weeks
9/2- 945 AM- Anatomy ultrasound/ 18 week appointment! BP 122/70, heartbeat 158, baby measuring right on, still team green!, will need repeat U/S to get better view of heart because of how baby was laying, doc thinks it doesn't have OI because of femur length
10/6- 9 AM- BP 122/68, fundal height measuring right on, heartbeat 148, I'm up about 20 lbs already!
11/9- 1 PM- BP good weight up 23 lbs, heartbeat 146 in ultrasound- now OI looking likely because femurs are <2% and bowed. Otherwise everything is good- head is in the 97%, abdomen in the 45%, and overall size estimated at 2 lbs 4 oz (16%). Heart looks good! On a sad note- failed the 1 hour glucose by 3 points again, just like last pregnancy! (133)
11/11- 8 AM- 3 hour glucose test- passed!!!
12/7- 535 PM- BP good, weight up 24 lbs, heartbeat 131, fundal height right on- 32 weeks, now onto every 2 week appointments!
12/21- BP good, weight up 25 lbs, heartbeat 148, fundal height right on- 34 weeks
1/4- 350 pm- group b strep test, cervix no dilation or effacement, BP good, weight up 26 lbs, heartbeat 154, fundal height right on- 36 weeks
1/12- 415 PM- BPP and OB check- great BPP- fluid at 16, practice breathing, good movement, head down, no dilation, BP 130/74, weight up 27 lbs, heartbeat 142, group B strep positive, which hopefully won't even come into play! Toured new birth center- beautiful! I'll even get a full hospital bed

I guess I'm Reserving my spot!
Little scared until those numbers start to double..but hoping and praying I'm here to stay!! Well boy did the numbers double. After seeing eggbert's heart just a beating away yesterday I feel most comfortable. Hubby and I have been married over a year now. Been trying for over a year. We decided to start right after getting married because we knew he was deploying. Well my body didn't want to help out so we were seeing an Infertility doctor. Much to my amazement because we had bascially given up hope after 1 clomid failed cycle and 2 failed IUI, we got pregnant. The morning sickness has really hit.

I'm reserving my spot! My name is Laura. Got my BFP on 5/31 and 6/1 (1st was too light for my peace of mind ) I'll have been married to DH, Walter, for 10 years this year. DD, Liesel is 3.5. She is endless entertainment to herself if no one else. My due date is approxamately Feb 11, but I'm going for a repeat C due to blood pressure issues so probably Feb 8 or so. We'll know more after my OB appointment in 4-5 weeks. We're kind of hoping for a boy, but will be thrilled with healthy.

And if any of you are wondering, barring snow storms for those of us prone to them, Feb is a fantastic month for a birthday. Just ask me, my sister, and MIL.

    Marcia's Space

My name is Marcia (26) and my hubby is Garrett (27). We are high school sweethearts and were married in 2005. I got pregnant with Ethan right before my last semester in Nursing school. I graduated with a BSN in Dec 2007 and we had Ethan January 29th 2008. We took natural birth classes when pregnant with him and hired a doula. After laboring at home all day, he was born in the hospital totally drug-free! Much to the surprise of the staff as drug-free birth is so uncommon these days. I stayed home with him for the first year and then started my nursing career but only work part-time (3 days per week). With our second Lola we decided that we wanted a out-of-hospital birth. We have a free-standing birth center run by nurse midwives a half hour from us and it is perfect! We had a AWESOME experience!! Lola's birth was quick and easy! We were able to go home about 6 hours after she was born. Her birthday is only 4 days after Ethan's. They are almost exactly 2 years apart

With babe #3 we plan to use the same birth center but we are going to ask if they are willing to do a homebirth this time. Sometimes they do allow previous clients to do this so we will see. I would love to not have to get into the car and make that 30 min drive again while in hard labor!! We will be keeping the gender a surprise this time around like we did with Lola. It was just so fun to find out the gender on the birth day! This babe is due less than 2 weeks after Lola's 2nd birthday. Apparently we like the 2 year age gap! lol

    EDD 2/15/12

    The test!!!

    Our family of 4

    Lola's birth:
Just before I left for the birth center, after a painful contraction I might add!:

Scooping her out of the water

Just after I looked to find out it was a GIRL!! Can you tell I am excited?? lol

    Ethan's Birth:
Laboring at home, probably about 8 or 9 cms here!! Was 10 when we got the hospital! Gotta get more of his birth pics off our other computer.

    Lola who is 16 months

    Me and my girl:

    Ethan who is 3

    Me and my boy:

Won't have our first appointment's until around 12 weeks.

    Weight Gain:
    4 weeks: 124lbs
    5 weeks: 124
    6 weeks: 123

    4 weeks: Tired
5 weeks: Tired and painful nursing
6 weeks: Queasy in the mornings/tired/painful nursing

    Bump pics:
    Coming soon
