I used to work on a children's ward in the local hospital and during my time there I had come accross some strange occurences.
One night shift I was sat at the desk when I saw a young girl at the window of an isolation cubicle. Thinking it was the patient in there that was needing something I got up and started to walk over to see what she was needing. As I walked over the girl diappeared and I realised that this girl couldn't have been the patient that was in there as this girl had been shorter and was wearing a theatre gown, which was odd in itself as it had not been a surgical ward for many years.
When I got home I told my mum what I had seen and how odd it was and she said 'oh my god you won't remember will you?' I asked her what it was I wouldn't remember and she told me about a doctor that had apparently gone mad and attacked the patients. This had happened when it had been a surgical ward. I looks as if I had seen one of his victims.
There was another night shift where one of the babies was crying in the cubicle, I headed to the cubicle to settle the baby when I saw a nurse in there already and the baby stopped crying and she walked to the door but never came out, she was nowhere to be seen. When I went in the cubicle the baby had a dummy/pacifier in their mouth (the baby was too young to have placed it there on their own)
On another night shift I saw the 'nurse' playing with a baby and then disappeared and another night shift I had gone to another area of the ward for a moment and when I returned the sister had asked me if I had finished with my cup. I insisted I had not been given a cup of tea but the sister was adament she gave one to me, we walked to where she said I had been sat, there was the tea, but it turned out she had given it to the ghost nurse and not me. It freaked the sister out so much she never went over to that side of the ward again unless it was urgent or an emergency.
Ok I have to know. When you found out that she gave the tea to the ghost nurse and not you did you find the cup? Was it empty or full? Is there any stories behind the nurse? I love stories like this!
Mommy to Kenny and Abby
OMG! That literally gave me chills. Did the doctor kill a lot of his patients?
The cup of tea was still full, think it really would have freaked us all out if it had been empty. As for stories about the nurse, she has been seen by a few of the nurses that work on the ward. I would say she looks to have been in her early forties wearing a nurses hat and a white uniform. Not much is known about her and as far as I am aware none of the nurses were killed the night the doc went mad. It is like she is still there wanting to care for her patients. I am not sure how many patients the doc killed but I know there was a memorial fountain erected for the victims.
The ghost of the girl is well known and s funny thing happened after I saw her that night. We had a patient admitted into that cubicle and this patient was a known regular to the ward. One afternoon, out of the blue, she asked if anyone had ever died in that cubicle. Not wanting to mention anything (as this patient had a life limiting condition and I didn't want her to dwell on morbid thoughts) I told her I didn't know and why was she asking? she just replied that she thought she had seen someone in her room the night before.
I know I'm waaay late on this thread, but super fun! That sounds a lot more entertaining than my work!
