Aiden's 2nd food ended up being banana. Gave him chunks that he played with. Two made it into his mouth. He was not impressed by the taste/texture. He was rather happy when he got sweet potatoes later on. Lol. Butternut sqush on Wednesday!
Oh, on a related note, discovered that Aiden doesn't hate water when it's in a regular cup. Just when it's in his sippy. This should be fun. Ha ha.

We're doing all foods one at a time for a week by itself and then introducing a new one each week. The only change to this has been when Madison refused to eat sweet potatoes one night and I gave her peas in place but she'd already had those.
We're on carrots this week.... oh and FYI Beech Nut is much runnier than Gerber!

Lucas just ate 3 cubes of squash and was still hungry so i gave him a bottle. are your LO's still hungry after? and if they are, do you give them more solids or a bottle/feeding. we are doing 1 food a week here too.

Janis, I've been told that food is just for fun and shouldn't replace their normal bottles/BM feedings. So I'm giving Aiden food in between two of his regular feedings. He probably really is hungry still afterwards if it's been awhile since his last bottle.

Some days they are just hungrier, On Monday day care sais he ate his carrot and sweet potato ( yes I am mixing already) and still wanted more so there was a little bit of leftover pear they gave him. Yesterday I sent some pumpkin and some fruit and he only had the pumpkin and was satidfied. Ronin is already learnin the social aspect of food with daycare and likes to sit up with the big kids and eat with them and he eats so much better in a group.

At this point, the amount of solids they eat is determined more by their interest in eating than how hungry they are. Teagan isn't ever all that interested. The most she's ever eaten has been one 2 oz cube at day care. We always offer boob/bottle first and then solids.

Those are some great faces! Those are pretty much the faces DS made for butternut squash today.

Ronin doesn't like peas or butternut pumpkin, so I get those faces as well. Even when I try mixing peas with something else.
