Fri 11/21...1st prenatal and 1st U/S!! HB = 133bpm! 9.99mm (.99cm) in length
Thu 12/11...2nd prenatal and 2nd U/S!! HB = 169bpm! 3.35cm in length
Fri 01/02...NT Scan. Everything was great. HB = 154bpm! 10cm in length
Wed 01/07...3rd prenatal. Heard the heartbeat and even heard some movement! Everything great!
Fri 02/06...4th prenatal. Heard the heartbeat as usual. Everything going well.
Mon 03/09...5th prenatal and BIG U/S!!! Baby doing great but being a bratt facing the wrong way. Dr thinks girl!
Wed 03/11...secret 3D/4D u/s...IT'S A GIRL!!!!
Mon 03/30...6th prenatal. Trying the u/s again for a better look at everything...everything looks great and she's still a girl!!!!!
Mon 04/20...1 hr GTT...failed
Fri 04/24...7th prenatal. Have to have 3 hr GTT done. HB sounds good. Measuring 30 weeks. On to every 2 week appt! No weight gain.
Thu 04/30...3 hr GTT...PASSED!!!!!
Fri 05/08...8th prenatal. Everything great. Measuring between 30 and 31 weeks...not bad! Gained 1 pound.
Thu 05/21...9th prenatal. Measuring 33 weeks...gained 2 lbs

1st doctor's appt: December 4th.
All looked great, I was measuring exactly on schedule for a due date of 7/2/09

Hi! My name is Darci and I'm 30 years old. DH Brian is 31 and we've been married since 8/3/02. DS Kevin is 4.

We spent 14 long months TTC #2. I was supposed to call and schedule an HSG as soon as AF showed up again, and we were planning to start IUI in January. But AF never came, and I got a BFP instead!

I had contractions off & on all day on July 12 (2 days before due date). I stayed home for quite a while, got to the hospital at 5:20 pm, and Julia Renae was born (all-natural delivery!) on July 12 at 7:09 pm -- 8 lbs. 4 oz.

My wonderful faint positve on Nov.2 @ 12 DPO! (actually 8 DPO)



Post where I told the news

Pregnancy confirmed by blood test Nov.5. We're estatic!

Everyone is very excited. DH is hoping for a girl I think, but I could go for either honestly.

My first appt was 19 nov but got moved up to 2pm today (7 nov) for a chat on iron levels

My appt went fine, my iron levels were good, the only thing the ob commented on was that my white count was slightly elevated. I informed her that my allergies sprung up on vacation and started into a cold before I could get my meds and she was happy about that explination, though she went on to inform me that there is a bug going around at the hospital that presents with tiredness as the first sign, but since I'd been tired before coming over there she cleared me of this illness. Now watch that I get it


Once again an appt change. DH is getting lasik eye surgery on the 18th and I want him 100% for the orientation so I changed it to 17 Nov which just happens to be my birthday too. I'm hoping that he'll be able to take his comp day on Monday instead of Friday, but if not all well

Orientation went well. There was a butt load of papers to fill out, I hate filling out papers since they make it kind of confusing sometimes. Anyway, the nurse was really helpful in answering my questions and if she was right in her information on the birthing center I think I'll like delivering there. They are pro NCB and VBACs so I'm thrilled about that. She put my EDD at 14 July and told me to call back tomorrow to make my appt for my physical and my u/s I'm so stoked. The only thing I didn't like is that I have to wait another 6-8 for both of those All well, not much else I can do about that.

Bobby recieved the best birthday present from our little one at about 5:45 am, they finally kicked hard enough to be felt from the outside! I was so excited of course I couldn't go back to sleep, which I did pay for later, lol.

We had our big ultrasound today and you're a GIRL! Rya Jade, though we're still trying to find out how we want to spell it. You did not want to cooperate in the least with the tech. You kept your heart under my belly button almost the whole time, you had the hiccups and you just wouldn't let her get her important shots. On a slightly more worrisome note, the radioligst said that there is something abnormal with your abdomin and wouldn't tell us more. So far I haven't been as worried as I thought I'd be, but then again, I might just not be letting myself process it for now.

Your daddy, brother and I went out shopping for you today. I found so many pretty outfits for you today. Your daddy just keeps teasing me that I'm so happy you're a girl, which I am. And we've decided to spell your name Rya.


At you last u/s we were told that the problem is with your kidneys. One of your kidney's is enlarged with many cysts. So far we don't know how serious it is and we'll hopefully find out the cause of what is going on later this month. But for now you are one wiggler.

We were able to get another peek at you today, you are just getting cuter and cuter by the day. Your one enlarged kidney seems to have had no change so that is good and your other kidney was just fine, which is awesome. You are growing well and have all the fluid in there that you need right now. We won't be able to see again till 8 May, but you will get your first MRI on the 24th, though it's doubtful that you'll remember it. Oh, and bad mommy note, I had 2 krispy kreme donuts tonight, but you loved them. You were bouncing off the walls, literally.

We had your MRI about 2 weeks ago. The good news is that besides that one kidney all looks great. However there is still a chance that the cysts could move to your other kidney since they did not see a blockage between your bad kidney and the bladder. Today we had an u/s to check on you and you were great. Again the one kidney was still 100% healthy and you're growing right on track with long legs At the end the tech was nice to give me some 3D u/s pics of you and at first your hand was in the way so she took another and then both your feet were up at your head! You're such a silly little girl.

February 10, 2009 - ultrasound - baby healthy and very active... and a girl!!!
March 5, 2009 - routine prenatal appt... confirmed new due date of July 12
April 7, 2009 - routine prenatal appt... confirmed CTS, told to ease up on salt, heartbeat of 167
May 11, 2009 - routine prenatal appt... failed 1hr glucose, scheduled 2hr, baby head down
May 20, 2009 - phone call to nurse practitioner, numbers are normal from 2hr glucose test
June 4, 2009 - routine prenatal appt... baby head down and almost engaged in pelvis
June 18, 2009 - routine prenatal... GBS test, cervix check: baby engaged, cervix thin and soft, 1 cm dilated
June 25, 2009 - routine prenatal... GBS test negative, no internal done
July 3, 2009 - routine prenatal... internal done to confirm head down, baby still sitting high and still about 1-2cm dilated
July 10, 2009 - routine prenatal... internal done, 3 cm dilated and cervix thin and stretchy... sent for non-stress, results normal
July 13, 2009 - non stress test showed high BP so doc discussed induction... baby definitely dropping and BP back to normal so decided to give baby a couple more days before rethinking induction
July 14, 2009 - contractions started 6:30pm and she was born at 11:20pm!

7wks4days, exactly on with my LMP 10-9-08
Dec.23, 2008: 1st "official" OB appt. All paperwork completed, ultrasound confirmed baby is still on
target for size and HB is strong. All prenatal bloodwork taken.
Jan.9, 2009: 1st Trimester Screening at Perinatologist, Down Syn risk age: 1/700, screen:
1/10,000. Trisomy 13/18 age: 1/2,400, screen: 1/6,900.
Baby measured 3 inches, HB 160.
Jan. 20, 2009: Went over NT scan, all looks great. HB 155. OB wants an anatomy scan at 18
weeks, not 20! WOO-HOO! Then possibly again at 22-24 weeks to take a closer
look at the heart. Wrote script for quad screen blood work to be done 16-18 wks.
Feb. 12, 2009: Level II Anatomy ultrasound at Perinatologist. It's a boy!
