I am sos so sorry ladies. I am back, but still sit. This is the first day that I have had the energy to get up out of bed and actually type. i have peeked in a few times in the afternoon, but my mom made me go back to bed. I have been hit hard by the flu...:(. It sucks. I am freakin hoarse from coughing so much.
I have eaten junk food all week and have had more orange juice than one person should rink in a lifetime...bleh.

Deidre. Ive been hoarse all week and for no darn reason. We had a neighbour come over the other day.. She was a neighbour at our old compound too but this was the first time I had actually met her. Anyway Im sure she couldnt understand half of what I was saying because of my voice. It seemed to get even worse that next day but then much better after that. Its still a bit hoarse and goes out at times but its coming back.
Since I was little and discovered what calories were I stopped drinking things with calories... besides rootbeer lol I very rarely drink juices or other stuff with calories. I just figure calories are supposed to come from food not drinks so I just drink diet stuff or water. I dont even like the taste of regular sodas now odd huh?
Its funny how the stuff that is the worst for you tastes so good. Ive been craving some of those betty crocker warm delights.. oh man those are soo good. I need to stock up on some of them.
Ive been ok today.. Oh before I forget I exercised yesterday for 30 minutes. It was nice and felt great. Aybra sat in her seat beside me and laughed pretty much the whole time.. Guess I looked like a goofball. I had to take her to the doctor today for synagis.. poor baby Later I will exercise as most of my housework is done woohoo!!!

I woke up at 4:30 this am with a screaming migraine... I hate those things. I always throw up, which makes the pain worse. Thank God, 4 tylenol and 3 cups of STRONG coffee did the trick! It subsided about 6:30 am... I am so thankful I am able to get rid of them once they come... my Mom has them for days on end, poor thing.
So I did good yesterday, and even with my Evil Pepsi, I still got all my water down and managed to eat good. No working out though. I am gonna try today, but my muscles are still sooo sore!
DH is up on the Mountain snowmobiling with his Dad today... Im just hanging with the kiddos as usual... but he DID leave me the ATM card and the keys.. hmmmm... Target may be calling my name lol.

Joee hope you dont get any more migraines. I rarely get any headache but when I do its generally a migraine. I have a high pain tolerance so I just tough it out though.
Uh no fun plans here. My plans consists of decluttering more and getting Kaias schoolwork together for next week. I normally try to get it together a few weeks in advance but Ive been slacking lately. I do have it all printed out though, I just have to organize it into his daily folders.
The doctor was just routine shot. She goes once a month for them. This month was actually pretty calm doctor wise. Alo had one appt and Aybra has 1 coming up plus her shot. Next month is busy busy. We have one every week and some weeks we have 2 I went through Alos appt papers last night and was marking my calendar.. man he sees a lot of doctors.

Joee, I woke up with a migraine in the middle of last night and still have it lingering right now. After 9 motrin, 2 aspirin and 1 cup of coffee it has not completely gone away. But it is not debilitating. I actually got in 1 hour and 40 min of racquetball today and during that time my headache went away! Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

So, today at 4pm I am thinking of doing a yogalates class at my YMCA. It is a combination of Yoga and Pilates. I am very curious to see how they do the class. Does anyone do Yoga or Pilates on a DVD or from TV? I have done Yoga, but never pilates. I will let you all know how it goes if I go!

Heather, I tried a new yoga DVD...yeah...not easy even though its the Yoga for Dummies version.
I am back on track. I gained a pound this week, so not cool, but it gave me the motivation to get back in the groove!

I did the mini challenge... that kick punch crunch kill pain owwww WTH? i dont bend that way no i cannot do a kick flip twist in mid air stop hopping around you crazy chicks I dont go that fast oh crap was that my knee that just snapped call 911 my spine just slipped out through my big toe cool down my butt thats a jumping jack forgot to wear a sport bra boobs are now purple cant lift arms above my waist thank god for ibuprofen workout video.... I think it was a success...:cool:

Just wanted to update my points quickly. Will read the posts later on. We all wore ourselves out today, even Connor. He went to bed with no bath and is still in his jeans. Laid him down for his quick 20 min nap before bath and he never woke up :eek: Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Got another little rug rat here today... I am gonna have to tell my friend she needs to find a daycare or something. I just have so much to do before the dreaded Landlord arrives (I am gonna be cleaning every nook and cranny so he can't fuss about anything) and I cant do that while picking up the neverending trail from her little destructive forces.

ok how about this?
Pita Style Philly Cheesesteaks
1 package of pita bread (wheat)
2 flank steaks (cooked to medium)
1 medium onion (Sliced into long slivers)
1 medium bell pepper (Sliced into long slivers)
1 clove of garlic
2 tsp of season blend.
1. Rub steaks with season blend
2. Pour a tsp of oil in a large skillet, heat on medium.
3. Add garlic, onion, and pepper and sautee until tender. Remove from heat and place in a bowl. DO NOT DRAIN!!!
4. Place steaks in pan and cook until medium.
5. Chop coarsely and add onion, pepper, and garlic back to the pan and toss.
6. Sprinkle with cheese and place a spoonful into the pita bread.
Serving size = 2 pita halves
For my day, DH, Brayden and I went for an hour walk again today. I LOVE the weather right now!!! Crisp, but not too cold.
We had lima beans with turkey sausage over brown rice tonight. Nothing special...I am having a hard time with chocolate lately. I want it soooo bad, so I bought myself a bag of ghiradelli individual dark chocolates, and I am limiting myself to one a day...God Bless the man that invented ghiradelli chocolate!!!
Joee, do you get the 93% lean ground beef? That is what I get if I can find it. Either that or they always have the 90% lean. That makes a big difference health wise.
One recipe that is super quick and easy and lowfat is a baked ziti I make.
1 small tub fat free or part skim ricotta cheese
1 lb lean ground beef
1 jar prego
any veggies you may like
You cook up some ground beef in a pan (I add peppers, onions and mushrooms in as well to cook up). After everything is nice and cooked add the jar of prego.
Boil some ziti noodles (I use the barilla plus in a yellow box, packed with fiber and protein, but has a similar taste to real pasta)
Then start layering.
1/2 ziti noodles on the bottom.
1/2 prego sauce mixture
some ricotta (about 1/2 to 3/4 of the ricotta container)
then sprinkle a little parmesan
rest of the ziti
rest of the preggo sauce mixture
then sprinkle some parmesan over the top to cover the sauce mixture
And that is it! Stick it in the oven for 45 min. at 350 and you are done.
This recipe is lower in fat because it cuts out the mozzerella and eggs. And it is VERY good!!!
Also, the mexican pizzas are very good with ground beef. And I especially like those because everyone can make them to their liking. If someone does not like veggies, then they just don't add them to their pizza. Where I load up on the veggies on my pizza. And they are sooo quick to make!

So I have a question...since I am TTC... if i get prego i can still be part of this right??? I wasnt sure if there is a rule against that... obviously my excercise points might suffer, but i can still get points for all the rest!
I dont see why not Joee? Your food plan may change, but you will still be on a plan right? Your exercise will just be lower impact, and your water points will go WAY up if you are like me...lol.

I like the idea of using the tracking thread as our support thread too! As long as all of us have our points on the first page, then it would work really well to have support on the same thread as tracking.

Today is going well. I have started to have one salad everyday. Especially with going on vacation soon and having to eat out all the time, I figure if I can eat one salad a day, that may help to keep me on track!
