~*~*~Mara & Moonshine~*~*~

I'm Mara (29), married to Joel, my very own Australian (33), since July 18, 2009- we found out we were pregnant 3 days before our 1 month anniversary! Yes, we got ourselves a honeymoon baby! I've been baby crazy for about oh, well, 25 years, so, I was gung ho to start ASAP! Good thing we didn't "go ahead and try" before the wedding...we got pregnant on our first try! And no, I'm not planning on drinking home-made booze through my pregnancy- we've started referring to the baby as Moonshine, because it was conceived on the honeyMOON. Smile

We are both teachers and we live and work in Luanda, Angola at an international school. We get paid well to be here teaching children from all over the world- but this makes our pregnancy plan somewhat unique in that it means that I will spend mos 7-10 of my pregnancy back home (in the States) with my parents while Joel stays in Luanda. He'll come for the birth.

We are both very, very excited, yet somewhat disbelieving. Can't wait for the belly to start growing!

Us! Soon to be parents! Yipes!

Hi! I'm Hilda. I just turned 35 and have been married to JC for 8 years. We have an amazing daugther, Alanis, who is 16 months old. Today, August 21st, I just found out that she is going to be a big sister. Funny, 8/21 is my anniversary of joining pg. org.

Anyway, I still can't believe it that we were blessed again and so quickly. I am just that everything goes smoothly.

All I have so far is this:

My first appt will be on 9/18. It feels so far away. I can't wait for confirmation that everything is going well. I am excited to be using a wonderful midwife practice this time around. Am looking forward to working with them and my body.

3weeks 4days, Day of BFP

1st Beta 9-11-09~36,000
2nd Beta 9-14-09~56,486
1st ultrasound 9-18-09

1st Drs. appt 9-25-09 8 weeks 1 day, gained 3lbs total.

10-22-09 2nd Drs. appointment. 12 weeks, gained 3lbs total. My thyroid levels were high so I am now considred high-risk and have to take blood draws every 4-6 weeks to keep my levels checked.

11-19-09 16 weeks, gained 3lbs total. My appointment went really well today. I got the H1N1shot, we heard the heartbeat and schedule the big u/s for December 9th.
11-21-09 We had a 4D ultrasound to check the babys gender and...Were going to name him Deegan Christopher Miles

11-29-09 definitely starting to feel the baby move and kick when I lay down at night
12-3-09 18 weeks, gined 7lbs total, 142lbs. Drs. appointment with a specialist regarding my thyroid. Had and ultrasound done.
12-11-09 DH felt him kick!
12-12-09 DH felt him kick twice!
12-17-09 20 weeks, gained 7lbs total, 142lbs. My thyroid levels are getting better. We got the hear the heartbeat. The ultrasound results didnt turn out so well. One of Deegan's kidneys are inflamed to 4mm. We have to watch it and have another ultrasound in 2 months to measure it again.
12-23-09 20.5 weeks, 144lbs, gained 9lbs total. Went in to do a NST becase the baby hasnt been moving as much. The movement went from 90% to about 5% in the last couple days so I got worried. Since I was still early in the PG, the fetal monitor couldnt pick up the heartbeat. I saw a Dr. and checked the heartbeat with a doppler and everything sounded great. He said he wasnt sure of the lack of movement but is sending me for a ultrasound just to check measurements of the baby.
12-30-09 21.5 weeks. Drs. appointment with the specalist again. I had an ultrasound and his legs were measuring 24 weeks and his head was measuring 22 weeks. Everything looked great and the baby was even sucking his thumb!

1-1-10 22 weeks, you can see my belly move around when the baby moves and kicks. DH can also feel all kicks now!
1-5-10 22 weeks 5 days. I had my check up u/s to check measurements.
1-10-10 24.5 weeks 151lbs, 16lbs gained total. Regual check up today. Everything went well, normal appointment. I have to do my glucose test in about 2 weeks.
1-30-10 we had a 4D ultrasound done. I think he looks just like his big sister!

2-15-10 Had a follow up ultrasound to re-check his kidneys. He was head down.

2-18-10 29 weeks 156lbs, 21lbs gained total. I took my glucose test today and will get the results at my next appointment. We got the results from the ultrasound and the babys right kidney is even larger now. It was 4mm now its 7mm. I have to see a specalist again to keep an eye on his kidney. If it keeps growing they may have to do surgery. I was also measuring 1 week ahead.
3-4-10 31 weeks. I saw the specalist again about the babys kidney. He wasnt concerned about it and said if something drastic was going to happen, it would have happend by now. He said he sees this all the time.

3-5-10 31 weeks 158lbs, 23lbs gained total. My glucose test game back and I passed! My thryroid levels are also checking out great. He said he wasnt going to do another ultrasound for the kidney because if it kept growing it would be time to deliver anyways. Im measuring 2 weeks ahead and he said more than likely I only have 6 weeks left to go. Hes going to induce me if I get too big because he doesnt want me to have a baby bigger than 8lbs.
3-17-10 33 weeks 159lbs, 24lbs gained total. The NST turned out great. The baby was moving all over the place.
3-25-10 34 weeks 162lbs, 27lbs gained total. NST turned out great again. The baby always moves like crazy when im hooked up to the test. I measured to date now. I have a ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks to see how big the baby is.
4-2-10 35 weeks 162 lbs, 27lbs gained total. The baby was very calm today and didnt move much during the NST but the Dr. was ok with it. I told him I was feeling alot of pressure in my pelvic area so he checked my cervix. I was dialted to 1cm and 70% effaced and the baby had already dropped. He put me on bed rest and wants me to try to hold out 2 more weeks to deliver.
4-3-10 I made a trip to L&D today. I was having more pain today than usual and with the bed rest and dialting already it worried me. I was having contractions 8-10 minutes apart. They ended up sending me home because my cervix hasnt changed. Still on srick bed rest.

anxiously awaiting miracle #4
EDD 5/4/10

my name is Juliet (33) and dh is Bill (35) we have 3 children Parker (4), Vivian (3), and Charlie (1). we are adding to our family with TWINS!! we are a little shocked but so happy to be having our last pregnancy add double the fun to our family! we have to use fertility drugs to help us get pregnant and luckily it's worked the first time with each of our pregnancies. when we went for our follie scan we saw 3 really good size follies and left the office a little shocked! needless to say we were even more shocked when we went for our pregnancy confirmations u/s and found out it was twins  dh said he had a feeling it would be 2 or more but i never really thought it was a possibitlity. but we are happy with the additions to our family and can't wait to meet them!!

we learned at our "big" u/s that we lost twin "b" at 15.5 weeks. i'm keeping everything in the above the same and pictures up because he was and will be always with us and very much loved.

HPTs!! i took a lot cuz no matter how many kids you have you never actually believe you're pregnant!!

and just for good measure the ever faithful digital Biggrin

here is the first picture of our twins!!
6wks & 3 days

10wks & 3 days

12wks & 2 days

13wks 3days

15wks 3days (the dr took the bottom picture just to show that they are indeed twins with 2 different sacs)

Doctor Appoinments:

9/11/09 (6wks 3 days)~ confirmation of pregnancy appointment and check to see how many are in there. saw and heard 2 heartbeats  in shock but excited!
9/25/09 (8wks 3 days)~went and saw the babies again and all is well. they were moving around and i caught another quick glimpse at their hearts beating! they're definitely fraternal too so that's a good thing. going back in another 2 weeks. didn't get another pic this time but will hopefully next time.
10/09/09 (10wks 3 days)~ everything was good. babies moving around like crazy again. could see little arm and leg buds flailing all over! the dr spent time on each one to see the hearts, to look for nasal bones, and look at nuchal folds. each baby had a distinct nasal bone and good looking nuchal folds. seeing each of these things is a good arguement against downs. according to the dr's scale i've gained 5lbs so we'll see how much i gain this pregnancy!
10/22/09 (12wks 2 days) First View U/S~ we got to see the babies for almost 30mins!! they were moving all over and so cute. the tech measured each baby's nuchal fold several time so they could get the most accurate measurement. i'm thinking all went well since the dr didn't have to come in and talk to us. we did find out that the results are going to mailed to us sometime this next week and they'll tell us what the %'s are for any kind of abnormality in the babies. we also scheduled our "big" u/s for Dec 2!
10/30/09 (13wks 3 days)~ the dr went over my nuchal fold tests we had done the week before and all was good! baby A has a 1 in 2000 chance of downs and baby B has a 1 in 3000 chance. it goes up when it comes to their chances of trisomy 13 and 18 so we're very happy!! i gained 9lbs in 3 weeks and that had me a little upset. so in total i've gained 14lbs Sad not really where i wanted to be but my dr wasn't too concerned and said i could gain up to 45lbs and still be healthy. so, if i average 1lb a week i should be ok. also saw the babies and they are long and skinny Smile
11/13/09 (15wks 3 days)~ quick in and out appt. only gained 2lbs in 2wks so i'm on track for a pound a week!! dr looked at the babies moving around and all was good! i can't believe that i'm going for the "big u/s" in 3wks!!! too bad we're not finding out what these little guys are
12/2/09 (anatomy scan)(18wks 1 day)~ unfortunatley the appointment didn't go as well as we would've liked. we found out that baby "b" passed away around 15.5wks. needless to say we were shocked and now deeply saddened. we did find out that the baby was a boy. baby "a", however, is doing well and growing as he/she needs too.
12/3/09 (18wks 2days)~ went to my ob for a regular appointment and he said the baby looks good. the other baby is reabsorbing into my body as needed and the process looks like it's going along. he wants me to come in 2x a week to monitor the reabsorbtion process and the health of the surviving baby.
12/7/09 (18wks 6days)~ another trip to the ob today revealed that all is going well with the process now. the baby is now 1/3 the size of the surviving twin. the other baby had a very strong heartbeat and looked very robust the dr said. needless to say, i'm very paranoid with this pregnancy now. i've taken my other 3 pregnancies for granted since i never worried about anything in any of them. but, luckily my dr is very sensitive and said that he will monitor me very closely for the duration of the pregnancy. hopefully that'll put my mind at a little bit of ease.
12/11/09 (19wks 3days)~ all went well today. the absorption is going well and the surviving twin looks really good. very strong heartbeat and moving. very glad i got a doppler so now i can listen to his heartbeat whenever i want!!
12/28/09 (21wks 6days)~ all went well with the heart scan. at the other anatomy scan they didn't get a good look at the heart. they didn't think anything was wrong but just wanted better pics. everything looked beautiful!
12/29/09 (22wks)~ doc said that everything looked wonderful with baby boy. the other one is teeny tiny, being absorbed, and taking up very little room. this little guy is getting so big. already over 1lb! can't wait to see what he looks like Smile
1/25/10 (25wks 6days)~ great appt and all looks well. can't believe that i'm a little more than half way through!
2/25/10 (30wks 2days)~ not a regular appt but had some cramping and bleeding so just went to check everything out. dr said everything looked fine and cervix is still high, closed, and tight. keeping my reg appt next week. did find out mr man is breech!
3/1/10 (30wks 6days)~ everything still looks good and no more bleeding. found out that i have a bladder infection so the dr put me on antibiotics. also found out that the little guy has flipped and is back to vertex! on to my every other week appts now
3/18/10 (33wks 2days)~ all went well! baby boy looks a little big but nothing to worry about. next visit at 35 weeks!!
3/29/10 (34wks 6days)~ turned down the strep B test and will just be treated for it anyway since i tested (+) for it with Vivi. my urine test showed that i do have some strep B bacteria so just gonna play it safe. didn't reallly want to be tested either! all is well with little man and he's still head down!
4/5/10 (35wks 6days)~ all went well. BP was 110/60, no weight gain, and do dilation. so, i'll just go back next week and see what all is happening!
4/12/10 (36wks 6days)~

Jordan's Space!
Due May 16, 2010

DH, Greg and I were married late summer of 2006. We have one daughter, Violet, who was born April of 2008. We started trying for our second in January of 2009 and are pleased to have a BFP!!! I got a lovely pink line on 11DPO. Violet was born at home in a lovely waterbirth. My DH caught her. We are very excited to plan our next home birth and to share our experience here!

Our Home Birth Plans:

My twin sister Emily!

Attending the birth:
DH and DD
2 Midwives (Carolynn and Lisa)
2 Sisters (Emily and Alison)
2 Friends (Ariana and Allie)

Birth vision:

To Do List:
Prepare and freeze meals before EDD
Cover clocks during birthing time
Turn off phone
Stacks of clean towels
Camera batteries
Witch Hazel
Depends undies
Chux pads
Birthing CD
positive birth shrine (quotes, pictures, burning oil...etc)
Midwife meals
Prepared peri bottle
handheld mirror
extra garbage bags
placenta tupperware
thermometer for tub
fish net
tarp for under tub

In unlikely event of hospital transfer- Birth Plan
Mother-to-be: XXXX Husband: XXXX Support Person(s): XXXX & XXX Practitioner(s): XXXX & XXXX

This birth plan is intended to express the preference and desires we have for the birth of our baby in the event of a hospital transfer. It is not intended to be a script. We fully realize that situations may arise such that our plan cannot and should not be followed. However, we hope that barring any extenuating circumstances, you will be able to keep us informed and aware of our options. Thank you.

First Stage (Labor):
* I request that my midwives and support person(s) accompany my husband and I in the labour and delivery rooms
* I would prefer my own clothes to hospital gown.
* Vaginal exams only if requested
* Maintain mobility (Walking, rocking, up to bathroom, etc.)
* Eat and drink to comfort.
* Please do not offer me pain medications, I will ask for them if I want them.
* Positioning as desired.
* I prefer intermittent manual fetal monitoring using a doppler or fetoscope
* I do not consent to routine augmentation of labour using any form of synthetic hormones or otherwise
* I do not consent to artificial rupture of membranes at any time
* I do not consent to a routine IV or Hep-lock, unless deemed medically necessary for a healthy outcome

Second Stage (Birth):
* Choice of position
* Self-directed pushing; please no coaching at any time
* Prolonged length, if progress is being made
* I do not consent to an episiotomy, and would prefer to tear. Please use compresses, massage and positioning.
* Do not announce the sex of our baby. It is very important to myself and my husband that we are the ones to announce this.

Mother Care and Baby Care:
* Our baby is to immediately be placed on my skin. Please do not swaddle or wipe down our baby.
* I do not consent to the routine use of Pitocin, cord traction or abdominal massage
* Cord cut after pulsating has stopped, with my husband prefferably cutting
* We do not consent to prophylactic eye ointment, we will sign a waiver indicating we have declined this procedure
* Breast feeding only
* No pacifiers or glucose water
* No separation of Mother & Baby. Apgars can be done while my baby is with me.
* Other newborn procedures can be delayed until breastfeeding has been established
* I do not consent to having my baby bathed by anyone other than my husband and/or myself
* If our baby needs to be sent to the NICU, Greg will accompany him/her at all times, or someone else we assign.
* Do not circumcise our son and do not retract the foreskin of our son

In the event of a Cesarean Birth:
* My husband present at all times
* Hands free, and not strapped down
* Please use double layer suturing for the incision closure (NOT staples)
* Breast feeding in recovery room as soon as possible
* Do not announce the sex of our baby. It is very important to myself and my husband that we are the ones to announce this
* We do not consent to prophylactic eye ointment, we will sign a waiver indicating we have declined this procedure
* If our baby needs to be sent to the NICU, Greg will accompany him/her at all times, or someone else we assign.

In unlikely event of hospital transfer bag:
*PJs & slippers
*toothbrush, toothpaste
*hairbrush, ponytail holders
*Body wash/shampoo
*razors (especially if you BF, people might be around your armpits. lol)
*favourite hot water bottle
*my pillow
*clothing to wear home
*nursing bras
*a little makeup for guests
*postpartum pads and Attends type underwear (I LOVED these PP. WAAAAY better than the pads once the bleeding was slightly less. Around 2/3 days pp anyway)
*phone card for making calls

Bag for Baby:
*vaseline Works like a diaper cream but is also great for sealing in moisture around baby's fingers/toes...they can come out quite dry if baby is postdates.
*Mild baby lotion.
*lanolin cream, I prefer PurLan.
*receiving blankets for swaddling.
*manual breast pump

My Hypnobabies Special Place

A short description of my 'Special Place' (in Hypnobabies you're asked to imagine a place where you can go with your baby and whomever else makes you feel safe. It's a great exercise and my favourite script, by far!). I found a picture of it. Inverness, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. The sand and grass dunes by the warm side of the ocean. There's a little house in the background where my 'tribe' waits (my birth team: DH, midwives, sisters, bff's and mom). Violet plays on the sand while I sit on a blanket in the grass with the baby. Same special place as my last birth.

"All natural birth has a purpose and a plan; who would think of tearing open the chrysalis as the butterfly is emerging? Who would break the shell to pull the chick out?"

Claiming my space :).

I've been with my fiance for 2 and a half years. We are planning a wedding over christmas (with a bump will be so cute) and I got my BFP on Aug 29th. This would have been my angel baby's due date and to me it seemed like the perfect gift from her.

BABY #1 It's a GIRL! EDD 5/19/10

BFP ($ Tree) 11DPO on 9/07/09

BFP (FRER) 13DPO 9/09/00

Symptoms WKS 1-4:
The first few days I felt strange in my lower abdomen not quite gas or bowel issues, just twinges and stuff. When I slept on my side my sides and lower abdomen felt a tiny bit overstretched or sore-ish? Also at about 4 or 5DPO I had loose stool for a good 3 days.

I really didn't start feeling like I was pregnant until after I tested positive at 11DPO. Like as if all of a sudden there was no question. The sides of my boobs were tender and felt heavy. I've been feeling light cramping off and on everyday. I'm breaking out and moodiness has set in. I start to feel a headache coming on during the day if I don't eat every 5 hours or so.

I've had no MS as of yet, no sore nipples, no cravings, etc.
Symptoms WKS 5-6
Week 5 let's see....I'm easily frustrated at work, having a hard time concentrating/absentmindedness, moody. I'm beginning to get tired more often. At 5w3d - 6w2d I've been pretty sick with a head cold. My boobs are still tender.
Got my pregnancy confirmed today at Atlanticare Health Plex via a urine test. They based my EDD on my LMP August 12th, which would change my EDD to May 19, 2010. I know that I O'd on August 27th so in my mind it should still remain at May 21st.

Symptoms WKS 7-9
Morning sickness arrived wk 9.

No updating.............

Heart rates 156, 147, 139
Wk 21 on 01/06/10 at 1pm we found out were having a GIRL! Baby measuring at 15 oz., all measurements are good. Another ultrasound scheduled for March 3rd because we couldn't get a good picture of her spine since she wouldn't budge from lying on her back. Atleast, we get to see her again.

**Just didn't keep up with all of this updating..BOO

Thurs., May 13th, 2010 @ 11:01 via scheduled c-section, we had Rachel who weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. and was 22 inches long. She was discharged on Sunday, May 16th at noon weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. She was breastfed for 3 days and then I switched her to formula.

We both are planning on finishing in May right around when this one is due, should be interesting. We have one son Hawkes who will be three on November 17th. This baby was a total shock to us since we definately were not trying since this year not only are we finishing our degrees but we will also be putting our house on the market and moving, maybe out of the country. So this is going to be a crazy year. Sorry no pictures of my tests, I was just shocked. And belly pics will wait till later. but here are my boys.

Just popping in to claim my space!

I'm Marcy, mom to Rachel who turned 2 in July. She was a preemie, born at 30 weeks, so, even though my due date is currently estimated to be May 21, I'm expecting #2 to be early too.

Looking forward to going through this with you all Smile

I graduated with my B.A. in history this past December. I enjoy learning, but I'm so glad to be back to just being a mom. My husband is a firefighter and I love him dearly. I'm active in our daughter's school and I'm her Daisy Girl Scout leader - something I love doing. Our son is the most ornery little stink I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He makes me laugh at things that he should be getting in trouble for. I love my family.

I didn't take a pic of my first test on September 3rd. It was a digital. But here's one I took for POAS-sake a few days later! haha!

My DH, Joe and I are expecting our 2nd baby in May. We were married June 3, 2006. Our son, Tyler, was born April 15, 2008.

We were planning on TTC in October. This was my 2nd cycle off BCPs. According to my chart, I should've already O'd so we thought that we were "safe". FF later changed my O date, but it was already too late. It goes to show that it really only takes one time! We were surprised, but very happy. We feel very fortunate to have been able to conceive so easily both times. With Tyler, we got pregnant our 1st cycle off BCPs and TTC.

10/21/09-1st prenatal appt. Had an u/s and got to see the little baby, heartbeat and cord. Will upload pics sometime...

10/29/09-2nd appt. 1st with Melanie (NP who did all my prenatals with Tyler). Everything looks good. Had a hard time finding the heartbeat because baby was super low. HB 160 and strong.

12/3/09-3rd appt. Everything's perfect. HB was super low again.

12/21/09-We have consistent movement! Felt like I was waiting forever. 18 weeks.

12/31/09-It's a boy! And everything looks great on the u/s. Cody Spencer, I can't wait to meet you!

1/14/10-Everything's perfect again. Got a referral to see a physical therapist for my sciatica.

Future appts:

My name is Katelyn (21). I am married to my hero, Drew (24), who is a US Army Soldier, currently deployed to Iraq for the next 12-15 months. We ran off to Vegas to get married on July 10, 2007, and despite everyone calling us crazy, we are still going strong and happier than ever! I am living at his duty station, Ft. Benning, GA, while he is gone and love it here!

BFP Story
We had been TTC since October 2007, but it never happened so we decided to stop trying and wait until after the upcoming deployment. Two weeks before he was due to leave, I went to a wine tasting party with a couple friends. Even though I didn't drink a lot, the next day I could barely get out of bed and was extremely nausious all day. Drew kept making fun of me and saying that I'm probably pregnant, which I knew I was not... wine never agrees with my stomach, so that was a perfect explanation. Finally, around 10pm, he started to annoy me so bad that I told him to just GO to the store, get a test, and I'll prove to him I'm not pregnant.

So he did. 15 minutes later, we were standing in the bathroom looking at this:

And then...

I was shocked and it took me a couple days to really get excited, but for him the excitement settled in instantly. Despite me telling him to wait to tell people, he started calling all of his friends to share the news, and within 24 hours we had announced it to everyone.

Friday, Sept 25 -- Doctor confirmed pregnancy
Monday, Sept 28 -- 1st official appt. Pee test, pap smear, prenatal vitamins prescribed, and lots of booklets to read! Unfortunately no ultrasound. Drew got to go with me... Only appointment he'll be at throughout the pregnancy.
Friday, October 2 -- Bloodwork
Next appt. Monday, Oct 26 -- Talked with doctor about how I've been feeling. Very basic appt... No dopplers, no ultrasound. Hopefully will hear the heartbeat next time.

Hi! My name is Elizabeth. I never made a space on my last birth board, March 08, so I think I'll try to make up for that. We have 5 great kids, the three oldest are girls and the youngest are boys. The newest addition is due on our oldest's 9th birthday! I can't wait to tell her. She'll probably think she should have naming rights Smile
I will post a picture eventually.

JenH's Space!!

Wife to Darrell & homeschooling Mom to Brendan Diablo and Andy (3). DH has a condition called Sertoli-cell Only and makes ZERO sperm. I have Polycystic Ovaries and don't ovulate without drugs. What a pair we are. We are currently pregnant with #3 after a year of donor sperm IUIs and a last ditch donor sperm IVF cycle. We had a 2 day transfer of 1 fair (4 cell, 30% fragmentation) and 2 lousy (3 cell 50% fragmentation) embryos. My beta at 14 dpo was a measly 13  but 2 days later rose to 31 and a week after that rose to 982!! I have my first ultrasound on Thursday Oct 8th. I am sooo nervous!

6 week ultrasound with heartbeat (baby is the whitemess along the thumbprint looking thing, the black splotch in the upper right is fluid collecting in my abdomen from being over-stimulated). Next ultrasound Thursday Oct 22nd!

8w3d ultrasound: measuring 4 days behind, heartbeat at 158, released to regular OB!!!

10w0d. 1st OB appt. Baby measured 1 day behind @ 9w6d- 2.93 cm. I also have a 3 cm bleed between the sac and the uterus but it shouldn't be an issue. My placenta is at the top of my uterus along the front so I might not feel movement for some time.
Barring any complications, I'll be delivering by c-section on May 24th!!
I have to make an appt to see a perinatologist for 2 weeks from now for some bloodwork and another ultrasound to check for any genetic abnormalities since I'm 35.
I also gave my 4 vials to the vampires. Next OB appt Dec 1 at 2:40

12w3d. Visit with perinatologist. Decided to do amniocentisis, scheduled for the friday before Christmas. Had a great ultrasound. Baby measured 12w2d and had a nuchal fold within the ranges they look for.

14w1d. OB appt. Down 2 pounds. BP somewhat high. HB in 160s. Bloodwork came back fine. Have to take 3 hr GTT on 12/3.

16w4d Today was the amnio. Wasn't too bad except they must've hit a nerve going in- I had a good jolt down the left side of my body. WOW that was weird- and strong! He said he got a good sample so that's good. I got a decent DVD of some of the ultrasound but no picsI have to go back in 4 weeks for a better anatomy ultrasound because the baby was still a little small for some of the measurements. Measured 16w0d for most things and I am 16w4d today. The specific things they looked for such as kidney and the brain looked great! Nothing looks out of place. IT'S A GIRL!!!! 75% chance since it's early but it sure looked like girl parts to DH and I as well! I am thrilled beyond belief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Full amnio report in about 2 weeks.

18w1d We got the amnio results this morning- a healthy baby girl!!!!! OB appt- Blood pressure still slightly high, urine was fine, HB in 160s. And I gained 6 pounds!!! Holy Moly...

20w4d. Had the 2nd part of the anatomy scan today with the peri. Everything looks perfect! Baby girl weighs 13 ounces now! Everything from the pinkie fingers to the lips to the heart to the legs look perfect. YAY! Found out the spot in my hip/ back region that is causing me grief pain is the sacroiliac joint. I can take advil for a few weeks!!

Same day...

22w1d- Saw the Nurse G since my dr was called to L&D as I sat waiting for her. Down 2 pounds from the 6 I knew I really hadn't gained last time. BP great. HB in 160s. Have to take the 1 hr GTT next time. All good! Biggrin

26w1d OB appt- Feb 23. All is well, BP is down. Up 4 pounds now. GTT and bloodwork NORMAL!

March 8- 28 weeks! Happy 3rd trimester! Baby is very active!

30w1d appt- Mar 23. Saw Nurse G again since my OB was delivering back to back babies. All is going fine, BP is back to being x/180. Lost a pound- I'm hovering at a 3 or 4 pound gain right now. Up and down again. Trace of protein. Still measuring 1 week ahead. Found out my iron is slightly low so it was recommended I start taking "Slow Fe" every day or every other day. I hope it wakes me up!!

32w1d NP appt (Dr out of office)- Apr 6. Measuring a week and a half ahead. B/P much better. Traces of protein 3x in a row now... hmmm. I gained 4 pounds in 2 weeks- I always do that sooner or later, haha. Total gain 7 pounds. The iron supplements have really helped my activity level! Yay!

34w1d appt- Apr 20. Gained 3 pounds, total of 10. I told the OB that this is the appt that she tells me I'm gonna have a BIG baby... she said "Yup! You are!" Baby measures 38 weeks... so I grew 4.5 weeks worth in 2 weeks. And I have more than a month to go...

I can feel my uterus along my ribs now. Nowhere to grow but outwards now. Baby was vertical and low but several days ago decided she prefers transverse and as high as she can get now. B/P slightly high but not to the panic point yet. Another trace of protein.

Same Day...

36w1d appt- Saw the nurse again. Nothing exciting to report. Another trace of protein in my urine, slightly high BP, lost a pound (total of 9), HB great. I am measuring 39 weeks at 36 weeks. No GBS test or cervix check for me! I'm disappointed- I really want to know!

37w0d- Had about 10 good contractions in 90 minutes, then they fizzled- that was exciting, lol.

37w1d appt- May 11. Good visit. B/P still under the red zone, gained back the pound I lost last week. Swelling not too bad but my fingers are somewhat stiff and marks stay on my feet for a long time. +1 protein in urine. Baby sounded great- heartbeat in the 150s. Dr G measured me and... got THAT look on her face for a split second. Haha. SHe asked me how I was feeling size-wise. I said "like I'm going overdue." She nodded her head. I added... "I'll guarantee this baby is over 8 pounds already." She agreed. The she moved my c-section date from the 24th to the 21st!!! I'll be meeting my baby next week!!!!!!!!

38w1d appt (last one!!!)- May 18. Weight gain still at 10 pounds total. I am surprised- usually I swell like a sick balloon but the swelling is actually LESS than last week. +1 urine. Baby movement has been low so I had a NST which she easily passed. Only bad thing is the dr didn't tell me how big I measured... so I have no guide to guess how big she is! I'm going to guess 8 lb 5 oz. Biggrin I can't wait!!!!

C-section May 21 @ 9:30!!!!!!
