Just make sure you don't open the digi's up. The urge is so strong for me to open them and most of them will have 2 lines and be truly negative. They work differently.

I've had several where extra blue lines appear in the WRONG area. Not a pos look, just not anywhere you would want one to mean anything! Call the company, and they will send you more and some lame excuse of how your pee is defective.

I wanted to share my experience with blue dye tests. I have tested with Target brand and CB and both have repeatedly given me false positive results. Blue lines come up on all of those tests within the time frame, when FRER and Answer brands and any other pink dye test comes back BFN. Blood test from my doctor showed HCG of ZERO. I will NEVER use a blue dye test again, there is nothing worse than seeing that line only to find out you were never pregnant to begin with.

    Question Positive to you?

    Accu-Clear... blue dye, unfortunately.

But the circle area has a dark PLUS sign, like below, while the square has a strong verticle line in it.

Another annoying factor in the blue dye tests... I took four of them at one time while doing a brand comparison. They all came up positive, as they should, I'm pregnant. But by 4 hours after the tests, the lines faded somewhat, by 12 hours they were almost invisible, and three days later the lines were entirely gone. Every pink dye test kept the results permanently. I know a lot of people who would freak at a disappearing positive. Seriously, it just left the control line and the minus sign. What the heck? It is HELPFUL for pregnancy test lines to stay as strong as they were when taken, because a lot of people like to see the lines get darker over time. Just... bad.

I am going to have to say I absolutly agree. My husband and I had been TTC for over a year. We were avid first response users but after so many months of peeing in a cup with negative results I decided to try a 'blue dye' clear blue.

This test was anything BUT clear! It was the age old "is there one line or two" question... was it + or was it -.... When TTC it's hard enough to play the waiting game with patients but this test was un-nerving and upsetting. A few days later I bought my trusted first response and recieved two clear lines! A full year of TTC finally paid off and we are 7 weeks and 4 days.

Trust me ladies, don't waste your money on them, you'll wind up more confused that if you didn't take the test at all.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. I am really nervous now because I just got a positive from a blue dye test about an hour ago. I am 25 days into my cycle and my cycle usually lasts from 24-28 days. I usually spot by now and there's nothing. The only other time that happened was when I was pregnant with my son. I have been testing with pink tests for days and I see really questionable faint lines on all of them. This was the first test that gave my a clear line and I was ready to call it a BFP before I read this but now I'm not sure so back to waiting. I have tested with a digi yesterday and got a negative
I hope I know soon. Thanks for sharing your stories.

    Thumbs down im new here

but i had to post my thing with the blue dye tests, my period was late by almost a week so my friend bought me a pack of clear blue +/- tests, i took them and to my surprise they both got deep blue lines, visible from farther away than an arms length by far. i took one more of the same brand to be sure. positive. went to the dr and took a blood test. negative.

EDIT: also, I read every test within 2 minutes so they were not evaps.

blue dye tests shouldnt be around. they are not accurate and they got me all excited for nothing

I just wanted to say that I'd be fascinated in this one too since I have had TWO false positives two different months with red dye tests and went to my doctor both times like a total idiot and found out I was not pregnant and probably had not had a chemical or anything like that. In fact, I took the second test after I started bleeding and the stupid thing was very obviously positive. I've never taken a blue dye test because I've heard so many bad things about them, but I can certainly understand the frustration with them since I've had false positives on other tests. Thinking you're pregnant when you're not because of a false test is the worst thing ever. I will never buy a blue dye test!
