~About Us~

I'm 26, and married my DH Heath on March 8, 2008. We have been actively TTC #1 for close to 2 yrs. I have PCOS and my DH has low morphology (only 1%). So, it has been a battle to say the least. We tried Clomid for several months, but I still never O. We've done three rounds of injectables. The first ended in a chem pg. We had decided that if this round didn't work, we were going to be taking a very long break. But here I am! I am thrilled beyond belief. Now that we've seen the ultrasound and heard the heartbeats, we're sharing it with the world! Smile

~Sharing the News~ All of our family (besides us) drinks coffee every morning. So we decided to buy coffee mugs for our parents, as well as for my brothers to share the news. (Heath is an only child.) We made our rounds the night we got the news to give them out. After opening their gifts, it took his parents a little bit to realize what it meant. But when they did it was awesome! My oldest brother did a double look at the mug, beamed at us and asked "Really?!" He says he's ready to be an uncle to teach them how a horse bites corn. (For those of you who might not know, he's referring to pinching their knees). I had to leave the gift for my other brother and had him call me when he got home and opened it. He said he'd been having a really bad day, but that we just made it all better. Smile He is really big into self defense, and says he's gonna start teaching them young everything he knows. My mom and dad knew that we had an appointment for blood work, since it was 2 weeks after our IUI. Therefore, I had to call them after we got the news. When they got their mugs, my mom washed them immediately so they could use them the next morning. They are SO ready to be grandparents! Now that we've seen the heartbeats, we shared it with the rest of the world. I made a post on Facebook of the ultrasound picture and updated my profile status telling everyone to wish Heath a "DOUBLE- Happy Father's Day".

So happy to be here! My name is Rae, DH is Wes and we have 1 dd, Lola, who is 3. We've been trying for #2 since last August and were beginning to get frustrated, but then I finally got my BFP on May 23rd at 11 dpo.

7w 1d ~ After a very scary trip to the ER because of pain and spotting, we found out the baby is healthy and measuring 2 days bigger than my calculations, but DD was the same way, always measuring bigger. Heart rate is 146 bpm (DD was 144) so maybe that means were having another girl! But they didn't give me any pics of my ultrasound Sad

9/14/10 ~ 20 weeks, Big u/s: Its a boy!!!! we are all so excited! Here's some pics of the appt:

Next appt: 10/12/10 for a routine check up.

How I told DH
I woke up the day I was supposed to be leaving for a weekend trip with the girls. My temp was still way up there, and my cycle had been very confusing. So I figured what the hey, I'll take a test. I peed in the cup, and used an internet cheapie. Low and behold a line popped up. I freaked out, ran to the other bathroom, grabbed the "good" tests. Used a target test, line popped up. Used the digital, "Pregnant" popped up! I ran into the bedroom and jumped on the bed. DH was still sleeping. I said "wake up!" and shoved the digital test in his face. He was like "Huh, wha...?? OH!" It was great. LOL!

Our Story
DH and I met January 2005 online. March of 2007, we found out we were expecting our first little munchkin. November 16, 2007 at 2:22am my little man Jaidyn entered the world. He was perfect in every way. The labor was okay, about 6 hours of hard labor, plus 2 hours of pushing. I was 5cm before I even went into labor. For those interested here is Jaidyn's Birth Story. I was posting under the username laursie03 before, but I was having some issues with it.

So DH, Ty, and I got married April 25, 2010. And started trying for baby number 2 that night. I have had baby fever for about a year before that. My LMP was April 12, so we figured our honeymoon would be perfect time to TTC. My cycle got all screwed up from the stress of the wedding I guess. I got my BFP May 29. I tested because I was getting positive OPK's at night and my temps were really high. I was about to go away for a stagette and wanted to be sure so I could drink. Totally caught me off guard. We think my due date is February 5th, but we'll know after we have an ultrasound. Obviously we are just hoping for a healthy baby. But, this pregnancy is so different this far, I have a gut feeling it's a girl. We shall see.

So, here are some pictures of my little guy and our wedding.

My name is Cassi and I have been married to Adam since December 22, 2007. I just finished nursing school and am working as a nurse on a medical/oncology floor. My husband is an electrician. We had our first son, Zachariah, in April, 2008. He is the love of our life and we enjoy every second of him growing up! I just came off Mirena May 5th, so it definitely did not take long to conceive. I'm a little nervous because the miscarriage rate is higher the first couple months off mirena, but hopefully our prayers will keep this little bean safe!

June 1st, 2010

On June 2nd, 2010, I told my DH we were pregnant. The night before I emptied out his sock/underwear drawer and filled it with diapers and put a sign on top. He woke up in the morning and the first thing he did was open that drawer. I pretended to be asleep, and needless to say all I heard was nothing for about 5 minutes, and then I heard the drawer close. He continued to get ready and then right before he left, he came in and said "congrats!" Although I havent had a m/c, it makes him nervous. He tries so hard not to get too excited early on, but I can tell that he is!

We are going to wait a little while until we tell the rest of the family, but will definitely come up with a creative way to do it!

About Us
My name is Lauren and this is my second pregnancy. DH and I met in college and were married in 2005. I am a Human Resources Specialist and DH is an IT Manager. We have a son, Parker who was born in September 2008. We are very excited to be pregnant since we would like our children to be about 2.5 years apart. I had very bad all day sickness throughout my whole last pregnancy and I had a bad recovery after giving birth. I am hoping this time will be better, but I know not to get my hopes up. I am just grateful to be pregnant again. We don’t have a sex preference for this baby, but I would like a girl at some point.

Sharing the News
I already told my best friend so I can talk her ear off instead of my husband’s. The next person I might tell is my boss if I start having the bad all day sickness that I had last time. Other then that we will tell family after the 8 week appointment. I am going to get Parker a shirt that says Big Brother on it and see how long it takes family to notice when we visit them Smile

Happy Happy Happy to be pregnant with #3! Thinking it's a boy this time since my pregnancy dreams have been right so far. haha I'll be wrong now. Wink

Due Date: February 7th, 2011

Appointments:
6-10 Went great, midwife measured tummy at 10 weeks! Umm...I don't think it's twins!? U/S scheduled for 6/17

6-17 U/S showed ONE baby with a great HB and measured my due date to be 2/7 Scheduled 2nd u/s because dr wants to check for twins and double check date (no period since 2008 )

7-1 Baby growing right on schedule with perfect HB. No twins, due date stays the same. Great to see the LO again!

7-13 Regular check up Baby has HB of 165 with doppler, everything going great! BP doing good - had preE with DD#1 so always anxious about that.

8-10 Regular check up Baby has HB of 158 with doppler, doing great, no more naseau and BP still good! OB too busy so met with NP. She said their policy is no weight gain since I am over 200 lbs but I told her where she could put that remark since my BMI is 26 because I'm so dang tall. Downside: even though I want to gain to prove them wrong, I'm still the exact same as when I found out I was preg. Ironic, isn't it. Starting on occasional maternity clothes just cause they're so comfy!

Next App: 9-7
Big U/S App: 9-23 Why so late?!

Tummy Pics: I'll add soon!

Weight Gain:
As of 8-31: 0 ???

Melissa's Spot!

This is my second pregnancy, I had a handsome baby boy in September 2008. We weren't trying for this baby, and we are so thrilled to be surprised. I am hoping for an easy, low maintenance pregnancy and looking forward to a home birth if everything goes well.

Sarah's Space

About Us :love3:
My name is Sarah. Dave and I were married in 2000. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and we went through two years of fighting harder than we ever thought we could. In 2003 I was declared in remission! Dr gave the ok to TTC #1 in 2004. I joined the TTC #1 board on pg.org that June and got my BFP in November of that same year. Some of us started the TTC #1 Grad Board and I co-moderated it for about 2 years. A few months after DS was born, my brother was killed in Iraq. We moved to another state to help raise my niece and nephew for a few years and finally got back on our own for a little over a year. Decided we'd better start TTC again if we wanted to have another kid! It took us about 3 months to get this BFP. We are so excited and would love to have a little girl this time since we are done after this one. But two boys would be so much fun too!

Sharing the News Secret
5 days before AF was due I just felt the urge to test. I had a test under my sink and I woke up really early and could not go back to sleep. I finally did go back to sleep and decided to not test that day, I would wait a few more days. When I woke up I was thinking about that test again. I finally said to myself I could just take the test, get the BFN, and then just buy another test in a couple of days. When it popped up "Pregnant" I was in shock! I knew I could be pg but I never expected it to show up so early! I left the test on the counter to get DH. I told him to go in the bathroom because he needed to see something. He had no idea what I was talking about because he knew it was too soon to test. He walked in there and just started laughing! He was so happy and shocked! First thing he wanted to do was tell DS Smile
We called our parents first and then siblings. We told a couple of really close friends that day. Mostly we waited until after our first appt to tell anyone else. Some people closer to me guessed because I was so sick - it was hard to hide from people who really knew me - and I didn't want to lie! After our first appt and u/s at 8 weeks, we posted it on facebook.

The place was really nice and it was a huge room where everyone could see on the really big screen. She started showing us the baby's face and how she was moving around but DS was getting impatient right away - he said "is it a girl??". The u/s tech laughed and said, "ok someone's getting impatient - we'll cut right to the chase!". She was really quiet and was moving the wand all around and being really careful. I couldn't tell what she was seeing honestly! Finally she said, "ok, are you ready to know?" She froze the screen and put in an arrow and started typing GIRL! The whole room erupted with screams! Everyone in both of our families wanted us to have a girl. While everyone's screaming, I just looked at her calmly and said "seriously?". I just couldn't believe it! I was so sure that she was going to say it was a boy. I wanted a girl so badly that I wouldn't let myself believe that it could actually happen! The u/s lasted a full half hour and I had her check that baby from every single angle before we left. She finally said, "I'm positive it is a girl - I'm not wrong - it is definitely a girl!" So I was satisfied and completely over the moon to know that I'm having the baby girl I always wanted. As soon as we got back in the car, DS says to me, "You were wrong mommy - I told you it was a girl" He was right! LOL! xoxo

Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
This is my first pregnancy at 33 (now 34!). Since last October I've had a sharp pain in my lower left side that comes and goes. My doctor suggested in January that I might have endometriosis (after a ton of tests -- pelvic ultrasound, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and CT scan -- all inconclusive). I had always been on the fence about kids, but the thought that maybe the choice would be taken away from me REALLY made me think about whether or not I wanted to have kids. And how I better get crackin' if I wanted to have them. So, here I am. I went off birth control April 1 and you can imagine my utter and complete surprise when my pregnancy test was positive our second month of trying. I had dug in for a long, long try at this pregnancy thing. I'm incredibly thankful and happy that I'm carrying this little one.

The Happy Couple!

Appointments!

First appointment, 8 weeks: July 2, 7:20 am. -- It was incredible! We saw the heartbeat on the ultrasound. It was 160 bpm. Our nurse is predicting a girl at this point.

2nd appointment, 12 weeks: July 30, 8:30 am. -- A pretty routine appointment. I've gained a pound since the last visit a month ago. Blood pressure was 98/60. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat with a doppler. Heartbeat was in the low 160's. Yeah!

3rd appointment, 13 weeks: August 6, 7:45 am -- NT Scan and bloodtest. The Ultrasound was incredible. Heartbeat was 136. I saw it waving its little hands and touching its face. Moving its little lips. I'm convinced it's a boy. Absolutely. I felt this incredible surge of love looking at this little wonder on the screen.

4th appointment, 16 weeks: August 25, 7:10 am -- Routine OB appointment. I've gained 3 lbs since my last appointment 4 weeks ago. Listened for the baby's heartbeat with the doppler. It was 130 bpm.

5th apointment, 18 weeks, 4 days: September 16, 10:45 am -- 19-week ultrasound! It's a sweet little boy! His heartbeat was 135 bpm and he weighs 10 ozs. He's measuring 19w1d, though I was only 18w4d at the ultrasound.

6th appointment, 19 weeks, 1 day: September 22, 8:00 am -- Some bad news from the ultrasound -- a 2-vessel umbilical cord and Choroid Plexus Cycsts in the brain. Could mean nothing. Could mean a chromosonal abnormality. I go back for a Level II Ultrasound to confirm on Friday. Since all my genetic screens came back negative, I'm more worried about the 2-vessel umbilical and restricted growth at this point. We'll need to keep a close watch on the little guy. Otherwise, we are looking good. My BP was 110/62. I've gained 10 lbs so far, and I'm measuring at 19.5 weeks. Right on schedule. Baby's heartbeat was 136 bpm.

7th appointment, 20 weeks: September 24, 7:45 am -- Level II Ultrasound to look for more abnormalities. Our baby was given a clean bill of health! No other abnormalities were found. All major organs, hands, feet, etc., look perfect. He's measuring right at 20 weeks and weighs 12 ozs. His heartbeat was 145 bpm (mostly from that orange juice I drank). We are so happy and relieved he's doing well! We'll just monitor his growth from here on out to make sure he stays on track.

8th appointment, 23 weeks: October 19, 8:00 am -- Routine OB apointment at 23 weeks. BP was 112/65. Baby's heartrate was in the 140's. I'm measuring at just over 23 weeks (on schedule!). I've only gained a pound since my last visit, but my doctor didn't seem concerned. I was a bit ahead of schedule on my gaining anyway. I received my flu shot, too. Everything looked good! I was told at 32weeks they will begin doing Biophysical Profiles for me every week -- which will entail an ultrasound and Non-stress Test. As long as he passes, then we're good. If he doesn't pass they will induce me early. I have my fingers crossed he passes!

9th appointment, 28 weeks: November 24, 7:00 am -- BP was good at 118/70. Weight is up 3 lbs. from last appointment. LO's heartbeat was 136 bpm. He's laying head down right now with this spine curved to my right side. I can feel his little butt near my belly button and his feet kicking my ribs! I did my GD test and had my Rhogam shot (in the butt!). I passed by GD test and my glucose level was 101. Whewww! I feel like I'm in the home stretch now!!!

10th appointment, 32 weeks: December 22, 7:15 am -- OB appointment, Biophysical Profile and NST. Baby Boy passed the BPP and NST! 10 out of 10. He passed the BPP within a minute or two. Took lots of breaths and moved around. The NST was harder, but he passed that, too. So, he gets to stay in there for another week. I'm measuring right at 32 weeks. BP was 110/68. My weight was up 2 lbs from my last appointment. Overall gain of 17 lbs so far. Everything is looking good.

11th appointment, 33 weeks: December 29, 8:30 am -- Biophysical Profile and NST. He passed!! 10 out of 10 (really 8 out of 8 because the NST machine wasn't working correctly -- but I know he passed that one, too. He moved around a lot and we saw his heartbeat go up). He passed his BPP very quickly again -- the fastest the tech had seen in a long time. He took lots of breaths and he was chewing on his hand. He's still head down, and the tech confirmed he's definitely a boy. We got an awesome face shot of him, too. And he has hair!!!

12th appointment, 34 weeks: January 4, 2:15 pm -- OB appointment, Biophysical Profile and NST. Baby boy passed again with a 10 out 10! He was very active today. He passed his BPP within 6 minutes. The Tech took some nice pics for us. His heartbeat was around 148. He took lots of good practice breaths, too. He's still head down and facing my back. The tech confirmed it was a boy for us again -- and sure enough, he was playing with this little ding-a-ling. Ha! NST also went well. He actually kicked off the heart monitor! My OB appointment was pretty uneventful. I'm measuring right at 34 weeks. My BP was 92/60, and I've gained 1 lb. since my 32-week appointment.

13th appointment, 35 weeks: January 11, 8:30 am -- Biophysical Profile and NST. Baby boy passed again with a 10 out of 10!! He looked great on the ultrasound. He was moving around a lot and practicing his breathing. He's currently still head down and facing my back (vertex). His heartbeat during the ultrasound was 121. My fluid levels look good. The tech also confirmed that the cysts in his brain have resolved themselves. He also passed the NST. Heartrate was in the 140's. I think I had about 4 contractions during the test, also. The monitor went as high as 50. He also had the hiccups for a while. So, we're good for another week!

14th appointment, 36 weeks: January 17, 9:50 am -- OB appointment, BPP, NST and 36-week growth ultrasound. OB appointment was good. BP was 98/68. Baby's heartrate was in the 140's. I'm measuring at 36 weeks and I'm up 1 pound from my last appointment two weeks ago. I had the GBS test done and my doctor checked me. I'm 50% effaced but completely closed. Baby has dropped into my pelvis and she could feel his head right there. So, a good appointment. Things got rough during my NST, though. I was on my back too long during the OB appointment, and during the NST I started to feel nauseated and faint. My ears were ringing and they had to give me the garbage can in case I threw up. I didn't throw up, but they had to put cold compresses on my forehead and try to get some blood back up to my brain so I didn't pass out. During all this I was having contractions that registered over 100 on the monitor and the baby was going nuts in there. But he did pass the NST. Then they sent me for my BPP and growth ultrasound. He passed the BPP (yeah!). For the growth ultrasound he's 5 lbs on the nose. So, just a little peanut. But she said he's growing proportionally and that's what they want to see. So, he's measuring more like 34 weeks and not 36 weeks right now. I'm a little concerned he's so small, but my DH was only 5 lbs, 12 ozs. at birth. So, I'm hoping he stays in there at least until February because I want him to be at least 6 lbs at birth.

15th appointment, 37 weeks: January 24, 7:15 am -- OB appointment, Biophysical Profile and NST. LO passed his BPP and NST with a 10 out of 10 again this week. No drama this week, thank goodness. My BP was 106/64. Weight is up one pound from last week. I'm still 50% effaced and my cervix is not completely closed anymore. It's just "dimpled" but not quite dilated to 1 cm yet. So, slow progress. He's not in any hurry to get out of there. He's laying with his head very low in my pelvis to my right side, with his body curved up my left side and his feet kicking my right. Very, very comfy, in there. My GBS swab was negative, too.

16th appointment, 38 weeks: January 31, 7:15 am -- OB appointment, Biophysical Profile and NST. Baby passed BPP and NST with a 10 out of 10 again, though he was quieter this time around during his NST. My BP was 109/70, heartrate of 54. Apparently I was almost asleep. I'm up 1/2 a lb. from last week. I'm measuring at 37 1/2 weeks. Found out baby only measured 4 lbs, 9 ozs. at the growth ultrasound. They told us 5 lbs, but it only came to 4 lbs., 9 ozs. once all measurements were in. The doctor is concerned because that puts in him less than the 10th percentile for growth. I have to have another growth ultrasound next week to see if he's gained any weight. No progress on dilation or effacement. Overall, kind of a depressing appointment.

17th appointment, 39 weeks: February 7, 7:15 am -- OB appointment, Growth Ultrasound, Biophysical Profile and NST. I'm still only a fingertip dilated and 50% effaced. No progress for the last two weeks. My doc did say that he's much lower now, though, and his head should really start to put pressure on my cervix to get that thing to dilate/efface! My BP was 102/70 and I've gained another 1/2 a pound since last week. Baby passed his BPP and NST again, but he was much less active. His heartrate during the BPP was 116 and it dropped to 114 to 112 during the NST. The alarms on the NST machine kept going off because his baseline heartrate is usually at least 120. So, needless to say, this stressed me out. My doctor didn't seem concerned, but it bothered me.
I also had my growth ultrasound. At 36 weeks he measured at 5 lbs., and later when all the measurements came in, they said he was 4 lbs., 9 ozs. Today he measured 6 lbs., 1 oz. during the ultrasound, but we won't know his final measurement until the doctor calls us. He's measuring about 2-3 weeks behind, but at least he's showing progress. During the ultrasound they checked the blood flow in his umbilical cord, and it looked good, but it's also either around his neck, or sitting just in front of his neck. The tech couldn't tell. I was born with the cord around my neck, and I wasn't breathing at birth. Same with my uncle, and two of my aunts lost babies late in their pregnancies because of cord accidents. Soooo...combine that with his reduced movements and reduced heartrate, and I really start to worry. I'm trying not to, mostly because my doctor seems unconcerned, but it's hard. I'm not going to feel at ease until he's out in the world and I can SEE he's okay. Anyway, my next appointment is Feb. 15th at just over 40 weeks. If I don't go into labor by then, they are going to schedule my induction. Thank goodness there's an end in sight.

I have a developed pic of the positive pregnancy test (with a huge thick line lol), but a friend borrowed my camera card before we told anyone about the pregnnacy so I had to delete the actual file...

I do have an ultrasound pic now though! This was taken at 7 weeks exactly. Baby measured 9mm crown to rump and had a heartbeat of 154 Biggrin

Despite the fact that my tests are stil in my drawer, i have not taken a pic of them. 6 weeks old and everything... keep forgetting.

first + test, june 12th at around 8 PM, i'd been feeling nauseus for 2 days, wondering if i was pregnant or allergic to all food or something. LMP 5/14.

This is my 10 week Belly shot! lots of Ellie leftovers, bloat, and double breakfast!

and a 9 week u/s photo

I'm adding this- despite the fact that i cannot seem to remember to update otherwise!

William Joseph S. Junior, 2-14-11, 8lb 11 oz, 20 inches 6:36 AM

hopefully my laptop battery won't die and i'll get plenty of time before Bubba wants me. he's been sleeping all day, i wake him up to feed him!

So .... after 5 days of false starts.... and then some.... i'm tired, i'm sore, and i'm miserable. my dedication to no intervention NCB was wavering and i was not happy with myself. so i did what i could, try every natural method of induction available. At a little after 9 the night of the 13th, after we spent all day getting the car fixed i got DH to DTD. that got some stuff started. tried to nurse DD to sleep but she was thrown off by a late catnap!

So DD ran around terrorizing the house while i bounced on my ball and timed contractions. at 11:30 i finally got DD to lay down, nursed her, which totally kicked up the intensity even more, and woke DH up. or tried to. he woke up after half an hour and 3 tries on my part. but once he was up i called the hospital, and the awesome OB who i only got to see once 3 weeks ago was on call! the receptionist asked which Dr i usually saw... and i said i just wanted to talk to her, the on call one. first clue that this would go well.

so it took us a whole 5 minutes to get to the hospital, got checked in and sent up, and i totally forgot to ask for a room with a good tub, but its ok, they all have jetted jacuzis anyway! so i got a great nurse, she checked me and thought i was at a good 7, but i'm telling you, my cervix was hard to reach! contractions spaced out slightly because of alll the changes, so we walked laps to kick it up again. wasn't working. so i bounced on the ball. that DID work, but after a few more shifts because my hips kinda got stuck in that position, labor started to slow down and stall.

So the OB came in and asked what i wanted to do, and i asked her to break my water, i didn't want to go through it for any longer, and i didnt want to come back in 2 days and i was just so DONE. I had started thinking of the risks of going overdue- meconium, distress, baby growing even bigger...... so we went with it 4:40 AM. 10 minutes later i had a WICKED contraction finally, shuffled and whined through about an hour of laps in the hall, then i was like freaking out. the nurse offered to fill the tub and i begged her to- so she had me go through a couple on the toilet, which was VERY difficult for me, but she was afraid of my labor stalling, and so was i, so we waited until i was borderline gonna freak out before i got into the tub. Only made it through about 6 contractions, the first ones felt SOOO much better, but then they got really intense again and i was just trying to smash DH's hand and the nurse was GREAT, kept telling me to blow the contraction away, which i did, and i kept visiualizing myself blowing angrily at birthday candles- and it didnt even make me laugh.

so i got out of the tub after maybe 20 minutes, thinking maybe it was time to push. and IT WAS! the OB came and checked me, i had made it to all 4's on the bed, and they asked if i wanted to be like that, and i said it was as far as i had made it! So i rolled onto one side, and i told the OB the pain was all in my back and hips, so she checked again to see which way the baby was and he was almost OP.... not straight, but kinda at an angle, so she asked me to push and she tried to turn the baby. not really a pleasant feeling, but i don't think her hand made a difference really, if anything the turning totaly helped. After a few minutes she said to try another position, we went to kneeling and leaning over the bed, then squatting which was great! as long as i was pushing i felt so much better.

they kept telling me to curl into a c shape, focus on pushing the baby around the corner, and it was great visualization for me. (with DD i remember the OB telling me "you have to get the baby around your tailbone" and then he stepped back, left me on my back in the bed and walked away. DH liked this OB MUCH better) DH was telling me how great i was doing, i was thinking of asking for the mirror because i thought i'd like to see my slow progress, assuming that it would take a while, even if it wasnt 2 hrs. Well, after a total of about 20 minutes pushing... DH, who was tired, hungry, hot, and standing with his knees locked says "i need to get out of here" the nurses thought he was going to pass out and told him to sit down, but he walked out the door and got a cold drink. and right then the baby started to crown! i had no idea i had moved him that far that fast! so one nurse RUNS out the door to get DH, he came right back in, and i delivered baby's head, they kept encouraging me to keep pushing, which i did because i totally never felt like the contraction stopped, i'd pant, take a deep breath and then push again as much as i could.

the OB tried to very gently to ease the shoulders out one at a time- i just kept pushing for all i was worth- and then out came BUBBA! DH didnt even bother announcing it, he just screamed YES! LOL! i saw the junk though, and i was like... WTF am i supposed to do with a boy? but i hugged him and it was great they totally let me keep him skin to skin, the OB waited until the cord stopped pulsing, then DH cut it, and she showed us the placenta and stuff.

then she had to stitch up my 2nd degree tear which was right along my scar from DD, which i figured was damn lucky considering that his head was almost an inch bigger around and he's got huge shoulders! he looks so skinny, i would have bet he weighed less than DD, but he had 3 oz on her!

I did have a little PPH issue, i sat up to go use the restroom about an hr after he was born and FLOODED the bed, the nurse weouldnt let me up, my uterus really seemed to be contracting well, but i massaged it myself to help while she cleaned up a little, then after a few minutes went and got some cytotec, which gave me wicked cramps for HOURS, but it helped. doing much better now, bleeding is totally under control.

QWERTYJUICE'S SPACE
Estimated Due Date: Feb 4, 2011

Well, ok I've never had a 'space' before but I guess I should definitely get on top of this stuff so you can all have a lo0k at how things are going with this little growing spud!

Here's the test (second or third I did.. 10dpo):

And here's my first scan at only 4 weeks... it's just an empty space at the moment... but at least it confirmed that something was going on in there!:

Then I had another at 6 weeks cause the doc was concerned cause of my medical history. The baby even had a heartbeat already! Oh boy!! That made it super real!:

I had another US at 9 weeks cause of some complications:

Here's 11 weeks and 5 days:

Janae's Space

Hi! I'm Janae (32), Dh Matt (35). We have been married for 13 years! This is pregnancy #7 for us, we had a loss at 9.5 weeks back in February 2010. We are very excited to be expecting baby #6 as we both came from families with 6 kids and have always said we wanted 6 kids. The day I found out I was pregnant DH called before leaving work to ask if I needed him to pick anything up on his way home from work. I told him to pick up some pickles and ice cream. He figured it out immediately and was very excited!! We have 5 boys Chase (11), Trey (9), Layton (7), Zander (3), McKay (1.5). We all have hopes for a baby girl this time around, but would be happy with another little boy as well.

Belly Shots

Symptoms
1st Trimester--Morning sickness kicked in right at 6 weeks. It starts when I wake up and doesn't stop until I fall asleep. I haven't thrown up, but often wish that I could. I have had horrible heartburn/reflux this time (never have before) and am on prescription strength Zantac for it. Headaches are also a daily occurance. Tylenol wasn't doing anything for them so I am now on a pill that has caffeine, acetametaphin, and something else. Hoping it helps because the headaches are killer. And of course, I am SO tired yet have nights of insomnia where I can't sleep for 2 or 3 hours at a time.
2nd Trimester--14 weeks still dealing with headaches on pretty much a daily basis. Still having bouts of nausea and the "taste" is still in my mouth. 21 weeks--feeling pretty good. Still have the occaisional headaches, but they are much bettter. A rash of some sort has started up on my chin...need to check to see if I can get a referral for a dermatologist. Sleeping pretty good at night...can't complain. Feeling baby move quite a lot. Still can't eat much for sweets (which I guess is a good thing) make me sick to my stomach and am noticing that they possibly give me headaches as well. Will continue to watch it. 25 weeks--feeling pretty good. Headaches are gone for the most part. Heartburn is kicking in again. Can definitely tell if I have overdone it during the day...my hips, pelvis and back end up killing me.

Our February Space!!

Our story:

Me- Betsy 30, DH Ron- 34 and DS Xaiver- 10. DH and I have been married 5 years and together 8. We have been TTC for several years now and never have prevented. We were told that we would not be able to have children with out medical help. We attempted fertility treatments about 3 years ago, but the cost was more than we could afford. We finally gave up and just made peace that we were not going to have children together. I recently took a trip to Washington DC for work while there my breasts were sore and I assumed that AF was on it's way( it is never regular) though it never came so a week after returning from DC I took the first test and got a slim BFP. I re-tested 5 more times just to be sure. So that is our background. Here are some pics of our family and our BFP!

January 8th, 2011- Happy 6th Anniversery to DH and I!
January 17th, 2011- OB appointment. 35 weeks 1 day. Good appointment. Got right in,( I normally have to wait hours to see the OB!!) B/P was good, Emma's h/b was 140 and she measured 36 weeks, about a week ahead like normal. Lost another 3 lbs, back to a 6 lb total gain? OB wasn't worried, so I have given up on being worried. Was suppose to start weekly appointments, but since all is going well they set up another two week appointment and then weekly after that.
January 29th, 2011- Baby shower!!! Got lots of great stuff Smile Feeling much more prepared for Emma to make her arrival! Photobucket
January 31st, 2011- OB appointment. 37 weeks and 1 day. Emma's h/b was 155. I thought that was kind of high, but the doctor didn't seem concerned. She measured 37 weeks. I had gained 4 lbs in the last two weeks! Woohoo, finally! Total gain so far, 10 lbs. Did the GBS swab today, and set up the 38 week u/s for next tuesday to see how much she wieghts! Getting so excited for her to be here! He also offered to induce after 39 weeks, not sure how I feel about that, but I will give it some thought!
February 8th, 2011- OB appointment. 38 weeks and 2 days. U/s to guess wieght. Emma's h/b was 155. She is still measuring 37 weeks. I lost a lb in the last week. I have been sick with some kind of funk. The doctor gave me a prescription today for some antibiotics after 5 days of fever!?! The u/s guesses her wieght at 6lbs and 8 oz. I am pretty happy with that! The doc thinks she will be around 7 lbs at birth. DS was 7lbs 15 oz, so I am ok with the difference, and that is pretty close to my guess. I think she will be 7lbs and 2 oz when born. Guess we will see before too long. The u/s tech also printed off a couple of face shots for me and double checked the gender- she is for sure a little girl!!! They checked me today, I was only a fingertip dialated, and the cervix was still very long. They asked about the induction, I said I would like to wait. The OB said that he agreed b/c I wasn't really dialated, and the cervix was still way too long.
February 15th, 2011- OB appointment. 39 weeks and 2 days. Great appointment! Emma's h/r was 156, b/p was good. Gained another lb, so total of 10 lbs. Was dialated to a 2 and 80% effaced!!!! Went ahead and set up the induction for Friday 2-25, though don't think we will make it till then! I am so happy to know that we are making progress!
February 20, 2011 - Due Date!
February 21st, 2011- OB appointment. 40 weeks 1 day. Emma Mae born 2-21-11, 6:12am. 6 lbs and 8 oz. 19.75 inches!!
