It sounds like you were well educated going into Andrea's birth. I have a feeling you may be looking at a quick birth this second time around.
Yep, this birth might be quick. The midwives have already told me that they probably won't have me labor at home at all. I'm most afraid of the 35 min drive to the Birth Center - don't want to be stuck seated during active labor but also know that my contractions slow significantly when seated prior to active labor. Oh well, it will work out.
So today was my GBS swab. My midwives have us administer the test ourselves, which was expected but felt strange after last pregnancy when they did everything for me. (We also do all our own protein/glucose pee tests at the Birth Center.)
I had a great day. I accomplished a ton, including washing all the cloth diapers, drying them on my new clothes line and reassembling them to put away.
Ouch. I hurt. My body is just tired and in pain, mostly my groin/lower abdomen. I just keep thinking I need to make it a few more days. Tuesdays are the start of my new week and I need to be 37 weeks to deliver at the birth center. I think this little girl is ready though, she is so low in my pelvis most of the time.
I'm off to the homeschooling fair today.
Stephanie, I just wanted you to know that I have been lurking over here and stalking you. I hope the last bit of your pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible. I can't believe you are so close! I am so excited to read about this birth story. I can imagine how comforting it must feel knowing you have so much support.
Best wishes for you and baby Natalie!

Awww, thanks for all the love everyone.
I'm having a pretty good day. I slept really good last night, it was so nice to only get up a few times and not cry over hip pain for once I think all the walking at the homeschool convention yesterday was good for me. I haven't been as active today, just some basic cleaning and a short walk with my daughter. I'm not quite walking like an 80-year-old today though, so nice to feel human!
37 weeks on Tuesday! Can't wait to be officially ready to go!
