I'm a little slow but wanted to say welcome to your lodge! I'm so excited to follow your journey.
I enjoyed reading your last birth story and I totally think you'll have a quick birth this time. Your first was speedy, especially with an OP baby.
I am jealous of those of you who have quick births!
Did you do anything fun this weekend? How are you feeling?
Beth
We had a nice quiet weekend. Yesterday was completely lazy (DH has a hurt back) so we all stayed in pj's ALL day, even skipped church which is rare for us. I made DH some yummy biscuits and gravy though and did finish a bib and burp clothes.
My belly is lopsided, even my stretch marks are longer and heavier on my right side now. I have a hard time figuring out which way she is facing unless I can clearly feel her kicks. I'm 90% sure that her head is low and bottom up, but she seems to be at an angle where her bottom is close to the middle of my belly and her legs may be making up the bulk on my right side. I've been reading spinning babies, but it tends to confuse me.

Happy 37 weeks! I hope she straightens out for you, it sounds like it could be brutal on the hips.

William did the same thing to me right up until I went into labor. He was almost side ways in me and then turned into the perfect position maybe a few hours before labor started. It's not the most comfortable. Hope baby turns for you soon!

I can't remember if you are seeing a MW or Dr. either way, it shouldn't matter, they should be able to tell baby's position from the fetal heart tones and feeling around, that way, if she's ROT (like mine), you can try to get her to turn before she goes OP (like mine seems to be doing). I think you and I "discussed" this on another thread and you mentioned your first was OP. It personally doesn't bother me too much to deliver another OP baby (famous last words until that back labor kicks in!).

Yes Becca, I have 2 midwives. They feel her at every appointment and she has been consistantly head down, but we haven't always been able to tell her rotation very well. As I keep repeating to myself and the midwives (and I know you can relate): "I know I can push out an OP baby relatively well, but I'm so hoping to have an even easier birth! Double peak contractions are not fun!"
37 weeks!!!! I can now officially birth at the birthing center. This is a great dayUnfortunately, there is a birth today so we had to move my 37 week appointment to tomorrow. Normally I would just switch my appt to the other midwife, but I guess once you hit full-term, they like you to have your appt with the midwife that is delivering babies that week. Sigh - was really looking forward to an appt today and it messed up my plans with a friend tomorrow.
