Well, had my 34 week appt this morning, everything looks good. The doc kept saying she's always amazed at how well I'm doing, all my measurements and tests are excellent, like I was made to make babies or something, Lol! I told her I'm just tired and sore, and been having some contractions already, but nothing I can measure or time. She said it's to be expected at this point, and I should follow the same pattern as with Kenton, delivering a week to 10 days before my due date she says. That's about a month away! Eek! I still haven't packed my hospital bag, but other than toiletries, and baby's supplies, I need everything else, like clothes!

I really tried to get a belly pic this weekend, it just didn't happen. I just want to take a nice picture, like actually doing something with my hair and a bit of makeup. So I did that Sat and Sun, and still didn't manage to get a pic. Got some of Kenton though, lol!

Amanda--you know you don't really need to take much to the hospital. You just need one outfit for the baby and one for you to wear home, a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, soap and shampoo/conditioner.

Amanda, I'm glad everything is going so well for you in pregnancy! I know what you mean, though, even when everything is checking out excellent, you still feel sore and fatigued in the third tri.

Kristen's right about the hospital bag, but I also understand what you mean ... I was totally stressed until my bag was all packed. There wasn't much I needed for me and baby, but I wanted to make sure DH had all his stuff (PJs, a change of clothes), and that we had all our necessary technology accessories. Both times, we brought our laptop, and we packed the laptop power cord, the digital camera power cord, and the little USB cable that uploads the pics from the camera to the laptop. Not to mention, our cell phone chargers! Oh and snacks and change for vending machines (for DH). Oh and glasses and contacts ... the list actually goes on and on. We did end up using all that technology both times, so it was worth it, but it did make for a lot of packing. LOL.

Of course I took my computer too. I guess I just think of it as another appendage rather than something to "pack." And the camera too.

Connie--Your pregnancy is going by so fast (for me at least). How are you feeling these days? Any guesses about gender...you're getting mighty close to that 20 wk u/s.

Oooh yea Connie, you are close to the 20wk u/s, aren't you? You are due just a few days after my friend & she has her appt after we all get back into town. Are you goiing to find out the sex of the baby? I can't remember.

Well, I guess I'm in the 2WW. Sort of. I don't really know when I ovulated or anything, but it *should* have been in the last couple days or right around here somewhere....

DH and I both have internet access on our cell phones but no laptop. The phones are definitely coming with us! As well as at least 1 charger!

I AM getting close to halfway! I'll be 19w 6d when I have my big u/s. We really want to find out what this baby is! I'm guessing boy but I think that's just because everyone is so convinced it's a girl Of course, last time the tech said there was an 80% chance it was a girl... I'm so glad we did the 3D a couple weeks later and found out otherwise! We're hoping to do one again this time but don't know if we'll have the money for it...

The first trimester I was weak and nauseous and lightheaded pretty much 24/7. I'm feeling MUCH better this trimester! And as of a couple weeks ago I've only gained 4 lbs. I'm pretty happy about that as I'm plus-sized to start with! I'm sure I'm going to gain a good bit more but like last pregnancy, I'm losing everywhere but my stomach! Can you believe I have to go bra shopping this week because my prepregnancy bras are too BIG?! It's crazy...

Well, had another ultrasound this morning, and they couldn't get a breathing movement out of babe cause he/she seemed to be sleeping. So they decided to do an NST as well. Almost didn't pass that either, though babe is moving fine now (especially with bladder kicks, lol)! Though poor Kenton was stuck in the stroller for almost three whole hours! He did pretty good at the beginning, but by halfway through the NST he was done. He threw everything he could get his hands on in the stroller onto the floor, even the cookie the nurse gave him.

By the time we were done it was 11:30, and the bus ride home was going to be a bit, so we went to McDonalds right there and got some lunch, which he ate well, then he played in the playplace. It felt weird cause we stopped there yesterday for second breakfast, too! Oh well, a bit of a treat for him for being stuck with mom at boring appointments I guess!

Yeah, everytime I think of packing for the hospital I just figure I've already got toiletries in the gym bag for when we go swimming, and other than camera and clothes (which we need), there's not much to pack. It's like, yes, one needs a brush, but I need it everyday, I don't have an extra one lying around or anything!

Connie, WTG with your weight gain so far! It's amazing how things change during pregnancy!

Question How Soon (HPT testing ?)

How soon would/have you take an HPT after Oing?

I'm got a positive OPK test this morning so I'm in major TTC mode But I bought a total of 25 internet cheapies (used probably 3 or 4 of them already) but figure I'd be neat to have progression pictures. But how soon would it be worth testing for the photos? Also, if you're not supposed to take the result after so many minutes why do progression photos work (ok, stupid question) but are you just not supposed to read them just in case it turns up an evap line?

My experience has been that a negative can leave an evap line if you wait too long to read it, but a positive stays a positive! I still have my 2 BFP's from Ethan and the lines are still there! But years ago I got a faint "false positive" from reading the test too late. Does that help any?

As for when to test... I've always used the early result ones and test with first morning urine a day or two before they recommend. Ironically I didn't test either time I was pregnant till at least the day AF was due!
