Cait, what did you have? I have to watch myself alllll day b/c I love to eat at dinner. Cutting out sweets has been going pretty well. I barely even miss them. Did you normally eat breakfast before?

I had... coffee... two poached eggs... 3/4 cups hashbrowns (did you know ore-ida potatos is only 60 calories per serving of hashbrown?) and a peice of wheat toast. 390 calories yikes.
I normally eat a late breakfast and try to keep it low cal, like high fiber oatmeal for 160 cal or yogurt + fruit or something.
Most of my cals come from din. Last night had a birthday party so I got a tummy ache. The most I've ive eaten in a while. Soon as I got my bfp I had no appettte so I lost like 4 lbs last week... appetite is back full force now but it was a nice jumpstart!

Ladies, forgive the novel, but I am playing catch up.
Marie- I totally understand about having boys in the house. We have pretty strict rules about what our kids can eat, but DH is killing me bringing home treats and asking me to cook. Yesterday I made banana bread, 2 batches of brownies, and he brought home donuts. Geeze. Aw, how did we miss the extra 10? Did I miss something? Am I just supposed to report my points and not my weight loss?
Crystal- I used to be just like your DD. I would read all night under the covers, but my mean mom made me go to school, lol. Your chicken bacon lasagna sounds amazing. And do you want to come help me clean my kitchen? Pretty please! And thank you for the kind words, I am so happy school is over for now. I would be mad if my son (also possibly ADD was given a test to complete in that short a time period). It takes him that long to accept the idea he has to do something and prepare himself. I am sorry your friend was not more supportive. I think people simply do not think before they speak. My mom doesn’t know we had my tubal ligation reversed (had it done at same time as cancer removal) and she will not be happy at all. I don’t care really…
Deirdre- What a great rule to enforce in your house about if nature did not make, you aren’t eating it. That is fantastic. Our kids know if they want dessert, it is fruit at our house. How on earth are you surviving without a stove? Is it hard for you? I cook a LOT of food in the crock pot (4 meals yesterday alone) so I probably wouldn’t be as affected, but I know if my mom didn’t have her oven, the world would end. LOL. Your Saturday dinner sounds AMAZING. Ok, my commute is 110 miles one way… normally takes 1 hour 45 minutes one way with no traffic. Going home on Fridays… at least 3 hours. And if you thrown in any rain or fog… I might as well not go home. I feel for you having to make a long commute too… I know many nights I would rather be home with DH but making the drive 2x in less than 12 hours deters me at times (not this week because I think I am ovulating and there is NO way I am missing a chance). I am sorry AF showed for you, I know how disappointing that is. (((BIG HUGS))).
Monthly cooks- you asked the kind of things I make so here goes a list. BBQ pork sandwiches, 3 bean taco mix, chicken and rice casserole, enchiladas, manicotti, breakfast burritos, lasagna, Mexican tortilla casserole, chili, vegetable soup, teriyaki honey chicken, meatloaf, sloppy joes, etc. I could go on and on but don’t want to bore you. I really like to cook and since I was so busy taking my classes and then am often gone nights during the week, it was important to me to have DH and the kids eating healthy. This means I know what they are eating and they normally just steam a veggie to go with it.
Sarah-Jean- your Monday sounded so busy. I hope that today is a bit more normal pace for you. I bet you miss the wine, I do too.
Cait- SO happy you are joining us!! Your breakfast sounds yummy.
AFM- I weighed in this am. Only down one pound. I was pretty disappointed with myself. Just means I need to work harder. Sorry I wasn’t around much, was finishing my last classes and then celebrating with special time with my kids. Yesterday we walked, rode bikes, etc. It was such a fun time.
Foodwise- I got off to a good start with my Slimfast for breakfast. I am being naughty and headed to Thai for a co-workers bday. But then, I am promising myself another slimfast for dinner and a trip to the gym tonight. I am so excited. I literally have not been to the gym since I had surgery in June… only done home exercising. I am determined to get myself in shape and pregnant!
Yea Kim! We missed you. So glad everything is over with and you could enjoy your family. Your points were just right, btw. The only I saw was 1's sometimes for food (but I still counted it, and only twice) I wish I had your ambition to freeze up dinners in advanced. I can't do it, personally. No space. And I just fly by the seat of my pants most days when planning. Ya know, this is going bad so I HAVE to use it somehow...... LOL Is that bad? Kim, being one pound down is still great! Just think of it this was, by the end of the challenge at that pace you'll be down at least 12+!

For dinner tonight, we are having a Chicken Helper (chicken and noodles) with extra peas, mashed potatoes (my son's favorite) and for me, roasted squash. Yum!

Yeah Tasha! You're back. How was your birthday? Did you get anything nice? Details about your trip! I want to live through you since it's yucky and the weather sucks bad here right now.

KIM - I am jealous of your monthly cook menu! I've done a few things from time to time but can never seem to think of things to cook that freeze well. My DD is like your son, she takes forever to process directions and was upset the other day because she didn't do very well on her spelling because the teacher went too fast. She's perfectly capable of doing it just needs an adjustment in the method of delivery. How old is your son? Is he being assessed? I have to say it was a relief for me getting the diagnosis because I saw it and suspected it.
DEIRDRE - I wish I could stick to that rule about food in the house! We try to stick with healthy snacks but have a 'sugar box' up in the pantry. That's where the candy from Halloween and Christmas go. I'm not a lunch maker, I throw in prepacked yogurt tubes and granola bars!
MARIE - I know the baby fever well, my neice is 9 months old and she know who to turn to when they come visit or we're at my folks! Auntie holds the babies - Grammie loves them but she hands them to ME when they cry (not my sis in law - their mother lol). Way to go cutting out sweets! I haven't been as good with cutting the coffee....
AFM - I finally finished cleaning/organizing the kitchen/pantry and bar area!! YAY Now to do the rest of the house....
The best is that I'm going to visit DH on Thursday night and he's got no idea! He thinks I'm coming on saturday
Food wasn't good today, had a cinnamon bun for breakfast when I got to work at 7:30, my left overs for lunch and supper ended up being the snacks I planned to have instead of an actual supper.... Tomorrow is another day...

My dinner was 50/50 on the healthy scale. It was completely home-made and "real" food, but it was on the heavy side. Whole Wheat Fettucini (with flax seeds too) and I made a sauce with food that I needed to get rid of. Some frozen spicey turkey sausage, jarred artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, home made pesto and ......drum roll please......cream cheese.
I wouldn't have minded too much, but I snuck in a cookie this afternoon....but hey, it's AF time
I'll catch up with the rest of you fine ladies tomorrow.
