Crystal- were you able to get your cleaning/organizing done? Here is a website that I use often… http://onceamonthmom.com/ They have tons of breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas. My son is 5 and we did have him assessed, but made the decision not to have him treated at this point. We are trying behavior modification therapy first. It is actually working really well. How nice that you are surprising DH, I am headed home to surprise mine tonight as well.
Marie- you have such a positive attitude. Thinking about being down one pound a week and adding those together is motivating. Thank you. Your roasted squash sounds delicious. How did you cook it? I have a squash waiting at home for me to cook.

AFM- Today is a new day and I am planning on behaving completely. I started my morning with a strawberry slimfast (I actually enjoyed it). I have another one for lunch- um chocolate royale, and then I am headed home for dinner so possibly tom kha soup or some 3 bean tacos. I am planning on having snacks today of cuties and zuchinni or squash. My goal is that I stick to target today. And I am going to O today so I plan on some fun exercise tonight…

So last night I totaalllly bombed my diet... We had turkey burgers for dinner- which I knew was coming so I had already added it to MFP and even ex'ed out the potato salad to have enough calories for cake (we had 3 peices of leftover birthday yummy fruit cream cake that I NEEDED) sooo..... Kev took forever getting to the table so I *Might* have sneaked some of his potato salad..
Then..dessert..Kevin says he actually doesnt like that cake, so me and Brody might of ate his peice too....
We ate dinner sooo early.. that I was really hungry at like 8-9pm.. and my sister was here doing her homework because it was too snowy for her to get home...soo..I had chips and salsa..... while kevin ate his ice cream..but he didnt finish it so he said I could throw it away.... well i was too lazy to throw it away so i *might* of eaten it..
it sucks because...the ice cream wasnt even very good.. and the highest cal ice cream ive evvverrr seeen.. sigh..
Today we woke up and the power went out right before 5 am... so Kevin wanted us to get up too.. so we sat out in the livingroom freezing our buns off while kev built a fire.. then he drove to his parents to bring them wood...all schools and stuff were cancelled because it snowed last night and I wish me and Brody would of stayed in bed!!
Kev wanted "breakfast" so I made the same as yesterday, hash, eggs, toast....and waffles.... so I've probably already had like 500 calories.. sigh... bUT I've already planned a really healthy dinner.
Ok enough rambling- off you add you guys to MFP so you can see the damage I've caused...
Hello all! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, it's been a complete nightmare here! Nothing bad, just busy! LOL
I don't know if you girls know but I'm a qualified birth doula, and I do it for free (love the job more than anything else) for people who really need some support. Anyway, I went with one of my lovely ladies (who also happens to be a good friend) to her scan today. Argh! So broody now! I swear I am too close to ripping my mirena out myself and just going for it! LOL I wouldn't cos I'm a wimp (I've never even checked for the strings) but it's so tempting.
I see we have a newbie to our thread - hello Cait, I look forward to getting to know you better!
Cait, TOTAL bust yesterday for me too. I can't even begin to imagine how many calories I ate for dinner. Whoops! Why did it have to be so tasty? LOL Don't feel bad. I will tell you something that my mom told me the last time I was trying to lose weight (after Seth's birth) 'Waist or waist' It WILL go to one, you chose which one. After I looked at it that way, I never felt bad about throwing away my kid's food, or stuffing the few last bites down just so 'i don't waste it'. These days, I just let the dog have whatever bites are left. He's happy at the decision. Hahaha! I hope your power is back on. How much snow did you get?

Kim, woo hoo for the *fun* exercise! I had lots of that last week. Heeheehee. Good luck! The roasted squash I spray fat-free PAM on and then roast it upside down on foil until the skin turns brown and bubbly. Maybe like 40mins @ 350. I *usually* rub the inside with butter but that wouldn't have fit the bill right now. It was ok. To me, squash always seem to taste better in the fall. Maybe it was old or something. :-/
I stuck to my dinner plan tonight. Thank GOD. So I rewarded myself with one small piece of chocolate instead of the orange I was going to snack on. It tasted much better anyways. I swear on all that is true and holy to do my pilates DVD tonight. There is nothing that will stop me......
Anyone look at the mini challenge yet? I've got my lunch and snack picked out. I love trying new recipes.

Seems like yesterday was a bust all around... I intended to go home and have a sup of soup, instead I ate chips, dip, chocolate and a beer! UGH only went over cals by a tiny bit but - that's not really the point!
TOday wasn't much better - those on the October board have read about my crappy day, so when I finally got a chance to eat 'lunch' at 3:30 it ended up being a Reese Big Cup - king size pack! BUT I ended up WAY under my cals - with Bellyfit tonight I've got over 1000 left!!!!!
Need to finish packing and get a little more cleaning done, I'll catch up a bit more tomorrow girls....

I did pretty good today. I made another "food needs to be cooked or thrown away" concoction for dinner. It was OK, but totally all over the place. Chicken, brussel sprouts, Quinoa with almonds and cranberries, and some kind of squash that was inedible.
Did good on water and remembered to take my vitamins. I did not however get on the treadmill after Erin went to bed. I needed to seriously sit down and manage my expenses.
For the last few months, I've needed to tap into my savings to cover my bills. I chalked it up to vacation, christmas, etc. But also bc I started using a CC for everyday expenses to get points. Well, yes, I definitely was buying too much on the CC, but it turns out, I can't cover my bills as it is. Even if I didn't buy one non-essential item. So I'm kind of bummed. Even if I get DH to take a bill or two, it's not leaving me all that much to "play" with. And buy "play" I mean buying medications, diapers, kids clothes, etc. Never mind getting my hair cut or buying lunch. It just really burns me bc I feel like, What the H3LL am I driving an hour + each way everyday and doing an incredible boring and monotonous job for? Not this. And really, do I NEED to be paying $200 a month on 2 smart phones? I don't think so, but DH is all about it. Ugh. And I want to add another baby to the bills?.....
