Crystal - its a paid subscription site, but they might have a trial? I will try to post an example from this week later or tomorrow. I got 1/2 off an annual subscription bc I subscribe to another website - my FAV- for free. It's www.100daysofrealfood.com It's got wonderful ideas and recipes for eating/cooking "real food" instead all the processed stuff society has throw in our faces.
Perhaps you could consider an endocrinologist to check your thyroid? I see one for my hypothyroidism (started when I was preggo), but I was lucky enough to have a great PCP who caught it years ago
Dinner - portobello mushroom panini (from the fresh 20). This is a very big deal bc I normally wouldn't even touch mushrooms. But I'm trying to be more flexible. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. And I had left over salad from the Indian food. It had chickpeas, peas, onions, and feta.
Trying to get some more water down. I'll have 32 oz of water, plus another 16 of unsweetened tea. I think it counts? Not feeling the treadmill tonight, but I think I'm going to start trying to use the one at work for 30 minutes after I eat lunch.

I ate really well today and it helped me a lot to have a plan for what I was going to eat and when. Now I am about to start my homework. I only got in about 20 minutes of walking today because it was a busy day at work. Tomorrow my goal is get in more exercise.
Oh I and tried POAS tonight (well an OPK) and literally I had a barely visible line. I think all the water I drank is going to skew my results this week. I don't expect to O until next week, but wanted to make sure.
Ok, I'm going to work backwards to reply to the posts. It works so much better being on a computer and not the little tiny ipod for a change. Heh heh! Yeah for an early bed time!
Kim, what are you studying? Just curious. Of course 'homework' could mean, bringing work home with you of course. I remember those days..... and not too fondly, when I was a manager. What kind of work do you do? I don't remember if you've said before or not.
For my meat issue, I am just bad about figuring dinner out when I'm out and about for the day b/c everything is frozen. I had a few cuts of meat in the freezer but not a whole lot of time to prepare them so turkey sausages it was tonight. Paired alright with the veggies.
Deirdre, why oh why does that site have to cost money? It sounds awesome! I am all about trying to eat healthier right now. It was such a struggle when we were really watching the budget close but now that it looser, I'm trying to get away from 'sale' and more towards healthy.
I'll have to post that recipe for you. I know when I am making breads with white or whole wheat, I don't buy bread flour and just add in 'vital wheat gluten'. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but it keeps bread from turning dense.
Oh I keep meaning to ask.... Invisaline. Did you have crooked teeth? I never ever noticed in any of your pics. How long do you have to wear them?

Sarah, what a busy day! Do all your little ones eat around the table? We are so bad here. Mine are NOT good at staying by the table. That is one of my hubby's pet peeves and I should really put a stop to it. He loves sitting around the table at dinner-time. I'm bad to take a plate to the couch. (Ashamed to say it....)

AFM, I have to say, I was so happy with myself today. Ate my vitamins, and only went over about 70 calories on myfitnesspal calculator. (Crystal, is it you who uses it too? I flippin love that thing!) For my first day back on I am happy I came so close to the calorie goal. Just curious, if anyone else is counting, how many calories are you giving yourself a day?
I'm pretty sure I'll get all my water in and then it's on to pilates to finish up. I'm the type who finds exercise time at night. I blame the kids but oh well, what are ya gonna do? You've got to sneak it in sometime.
Now to work on the challenge and getting my FF tracker up. I've gotta figure that thing out!

Marie - the 100 days site has - i think- 3 different weekly meal plans that are pretty good and they include ALL meals. Fresh 20 only does dinner. You should check that one out. I'm obsessed. It really has change the way I look at food and had made an "un-processed" lifestyle more realistic for me. The Fresh 20 isnt too expensive either. I believe a normal price would be around $45 for the year. They also have 3 months or month by month I think.
I have a tooth on the bottom set that protrudes out a little. It started making my top one too bc I have an overbite. I had braces when I was a kid, but never wore my retainer and soooo......
I got a Groupon for Invisalign for $3000, and DH's union covers up to $4000, so it was FREE! I have to brush/floss/etc after every meal, cant eat with them in, and can't drink anything but water so it has definitely help cut down on snaking and my afternoon tea.
OK, really going to bed this time. DH was at a Town Board Meeting to get a variance for part of our addition. It was on local TV! Kind of exciting, but really drawn out and boring at the same time. Anyway, it was approved :O)

Marie- I am getting my Bachelors in Business Administration. I will be done on Sunday!! WOOHOO it has been a little less than 2 years since I started and I am just kind of burnt out. I miss my kiddos. Tonight I was working on a group powerpoint. For my real job, I am the Executive Assistant to a VP at a private college. It is a great job, and I normally do take tons of work home, but when I started these last two classes, I told my boss that it was all school for 6 weeks and I would make up work stuff after. He is an awesome boss!
The meat issue... makes sense. I hate meat in general, weirdo, but I try to make sure we eat it so everyone has balanced meals. We use chicken, tons of ground turkey, and minimal other kinds. If DH cooks, we usually have meat, if I cook, I try to avoid it and I know i shouldn't. I make tons of meals with beans... I like them.
Good job meeting your goals today Marie! I did great. All my vitamins, got in some situps and a bit of walking, ate too well. I didn't really eat enough calories but I was not hungry in the slightest. Maybe drinking all that water helped me out?

I'm naughty and weigh myself almost every day (habit more than anything) and having been stuck at 185lbs for literally months, I stepped on the scales and it said 183lbs... I'm sure it'll go up again tomorrow (I only really count the Monday readings) but wow, how cool! LOL
I didn't do so well this morning... I woke up feeling shattered and could barely function. I did eat my breakfast and have two glasses of water but I didn't do the school run this morning. Still, there's always later, and I have my MIL coming over today so I'll be running around like a mad woman trying to clean! LOL
What's everyone got planned to eat today? What exercise are you all doing?
Thanks Marie! That pic was from our Easter 2011 Trip to Ontario - sort of a tradition for us, we go visit friends there in Windsor. Not too old but not totally current either.
I'm not a big meant eater either, DH is a meat and potatoes kind of guy so I tend to cook it more on the weekends when he's home now. DD and I don't really eat much of it on our own. Beans are a good alternative Kim! Absolutely notthing wrong with skipping meat for beans I was once a vegetarian and still slip back into that when I'm on my own.
As for the brie on salad, I take a small chunk and chop it up - it's sooo good but you're not supposed to eat it when pg so I didn't get any this week - just in case! And yes I've used the myfitnesspal - I've gotta get back into it tho.
This morning was pretty stressful and crappy, only got about 10 to 15 mins of yoga in because the dogs were being arseholes.
Breakfast was a protein shake again and for lunch I have a veggie taco salad (mushrooms and peppers warmed with spices) with salsa! YUM!! For a mid morning snack I have hummus (I LOVE hummus) and a few mini ww pitas. Supper will probably be an omlette and salad

Just wanted to mention the point tracking. Make sure you look over the first post where the max numbers you can have per day are highlighted in red. The MAX, and that means you did everything perfect, is 30 per day. Just an FYI. Just noticed some of the points are a little wonky and wanted to catch it early.
We are totally kicking butt if you ask me.

Totally busy morning for me too.. but I managed to walk to walk, had slimfast for breakfast, and now having cuties for a snack. I weighed myself this morning and was down too.... I was thrilled. Now to keep it up.
