I've had quite the busy day myself. But I did get a lot of work done which is good.
I bought Wasa Crackers yesterday (Hearty Crispbread type) and had 2 of those with hummus for breakfast along with non sweetened chai tea. For lunch I had a leftovers. Half a grilled chicken ranch wrap. One of our guys here owns a carvel and brings in flying saucers from time to time. Last night he brougth the oreo kind (which I didn't even know existed). So had one of those for dessert instead of my apple with peanut butter ( Hopefully it will motivate me to get on the treadmill tonight bc I didn't have a chance to do it today at work.

I am totally beat! Had a super busy day at work - stupid people make me crazy!!! And a really horrible morning to start it off! Ugh
I did make it to the gym after work, got in a good hour, started myfitnesspal.com again (yay!) and really stuck to my food intake for the day, even though I took DD to McDonalds for supper! I LOVE myfitnesspal and was super addicted to it before but gave up cause I wasn't losing any weight Haven't used it in months. Now I'm getting ready to have a nice hot bath to relax with a cup of decaf chai tea mmmm
Chai tea is delish !!! Today i didnt make it to the gym but tom i def will !! Im even more excited because tomorrow is 1 dollar oatmeal at JAMBAJUICEE sooo exciteddd i love Wednesdays lol
WHOOO WHOOO! I just finished 30 minutes on the treadmill. I did a walking program. It kept a quick pace and varied the incline. I think it was a nice intro back into physical activity.
For dinner I made tilapia with a lemon olive oil dressing and baked zucchini and cous cous. It was a little lacking in flavor, but ok, and satisfying. I have to skip dessert due to my carvel escapade earlier today

Tasha- I didn't know Wednesdays were $1 oatmeal day. Is that every Jamba Juice?
Crystal- JEALOUS you ate right and did the treadmill. Way to go!
AFM- I got in 45 minutes of fast walking today. We covered just under 4 miles... not bad. I also have been setting my alarm tonight and for every 25 minutes of homework I do, I get up and do a minimum of 15 sit-ups. I know that sounds like not much, but ever since my surgery over the summer, my stomach is SO sensitive. My Dr said it can take time to get those stomach muscles back in shape.
I stuck to my eating plan today but I can tell it needs work. I am not eating anywhere near enough calories, but I am not hungry at all. What do you guys think? Bfast I had a 190 calorie Slim fast. Morning snack was 2 cuties for 80 calories. Lunch was another slimfast and a steamed zucchini. Afternoon snack was 2 more cuties. And dinner is a huge mixed green salad with feta cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, and a whole chicken breast cut up.
I drank water off and on all day (nothing else) and I literally am not hungry for dinner. Like could easily skip the salad in front of me.
Crystal, I LOVE LOVE chai tea! MMMMM. I'm telling you, that fitnesspal keeps me so accountable. I just love that thing. And I love that it scans the barcodes right into it so I don't have to look anything up. Sorry your morning was such a dump. BUT you stuck with the exercise, so GO YOU!! Sometimes when my day starts heading downhill I just throw in the towel for the day.
Sarah, I weighed myself today too and was doing the 'happy dance' around the kitchen. LOL I'm hoping your scale (and mine) stay down tomorrow too.
As for exercise, with my LO, we love doing dance around the house daily. It's his highlight of the day. I like to use him as my weight too. For 'me time' exercise, I swear by pilates. I do 'The Method' specifically and have been doing it for YEARS. 8 actually (with lots of time off inbetween). It really keeps you slim and from bulking up like a lot of exercises/weight lifting does. What about you?
Kim, yeah for the scale going down too. WOO HOO! I hope it keeps on going. If I weighed myself naked my neighbors might call the cops..... my scale's in the kitchen. Hee hee hee. I have been known to take my jeans off, though, before I jump on it.
Hmmm, if you don't feel hungry I would think you were right on track. It sounds like you are eating just right to me. I would put everything I ate into a calorie tracker and just see where it all came out. I had no clue a tiny 1 inch by 1 inch piece of cheese was a serving until I stuck it in there. I think it was like 80+ calories?!? And the calories add up so fast. Until I put it down on paper (electronic device LOL) I have no clue how bad I overeat. By the way, what is a cutie? I've never heard of that.
Tasha, no biggie for points. When I did the challenge last time I always screwed up adding my points all up at the end. That's why I'm trying my best to add them up daily.
You will love the fitnesspal!! It says we can add friends on it buy I don't really know how. Hmm. I'll have to look into it maybe. I just love that thing! As for the photos, for me, I think I would do a before and after maybe? Since I'm looking more to get myself in shape I don't know that I would have too much to show. I'm up for what ever though. And I see you are at the start of your cycle. When will everything happen? Excited for you over here!!!
The mini challenge is basically setting goals for each area; water, sleep, food, etc. At the thread at the top of the biggest loser challenge you can just type your goals there as a reply and then add your 10 points to week one. You can do it really simple, or go in depth. Whatever you want.
Deirdre, num num bread. I hope it was tasty! Carvel and flying saucers had me scratching my head. I was thinking about carney folk bringing you deep fried oreos. Anything like that? PLEASE tell me more. Whatever the heck it is, it DEF sounds better than an 'ol apple.
Getting back into exercise is hard isn't it? Or maybe not hard, but the body is used to being lazy and just doesn't *want* to do it. I can't wait to get over the initial grumbling I get from mine. LOL
Ok, so I didn't know just how bad spaghetti was for a diet until I put into my fitnesspal. HOLY MOTHER! So I had to score myself a 3 for the day. And I used veggie spaghetti and everything. Natural mushroom spaghetti sauce even. Oh well. I didn't get to exercise last night so I have been kicking my own butt all day and will have at least 10 pts by the end of the night. Except for dinner, everything else was great today and my scale was down 1 1/2lbs. Soooo happy. It's funny how easily the weight just creeps onto your body and then suddenly nothing fits anymore. Like it happened overnight. I remember when hubby and I were first living together and I was cooking meals every night, really rich delicious food. One day he says, 'honey! you shrunk my pants'! To which I replied, 'um, not EVERY pair.' LOL Living in denial.....

Tasha, the way I read it the Mini challenge is a weekly challenge. If you complete it you get an extra 10 points and if everyone in your team completes it we all get another 10 points on top of that! This weeks they seem to want us to write down the goals on the specific mini challenge thread and then post the same again into our point tracking post... I've done it on mine if you want to take a look and see!
I'd be up for progress photo's! My body is really horrible though but meh, I'm not really shy!
I might not be around so much today girls, I'm taking a friend to the hospital as he's got to have an operation and has no family or other friends to take him in for it... That and I am living in a plague house right now - my family are dropping like flies with this D&V bug. I'm not feeling too well either so I might not do so well on the points today.
