    I can't figure out how many calories I should have mine set at, but I did realize yesterday that I have a serious problem. I have been drinking the 2 slimfast per day. I completely spaced that they have lactose in them... for 3 afternoons in a row, I have been bloated to the point of looking pregnant, my sweater wouldn't even zip up. I did some research and I need to buy some lactaid pills. Geeze, I can't believe I didn't think of that.

    How is everyone feeling today?

    Hey Ladies!

    KIM - can you make homemade smoothies in the morning rather than the slim fast? If you like Peanut Butter, I got a good one. it only uses 1/3 cup milk, but I'm sure you can sub it for soy or something else.
    1/3 C milk
    1/3 C juice (I've used apple and mixed fruits)
    1/3 C peanut butter
    1-2 bananas
    3/4 cup frozen fruit/berries (I use frozen blue berries)
    Super delicious. I make one for lunch and share with my 2 y/o. She inhales it :O)
    It's probably higher in calories than a slim fast, but I bet i'll keep you satisfied longer. Especially if you add some powder protein to it (just thought of that one!)

    MARIE - i tried the bread this morning. Very good, but VERY dense. Probably good as a "filler" to satisfy me more easily than reagular bread?

    SARAH - Hope you and and your clan are all doing ok!


    Sounds like everyone is doing really well this week. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADIES!

    AFM- I had a busy, but surprisingly smooth morning. I had to take Erin to day care before work. Normall someone else does it but on the odd occasion, I will. We got up, dressed and out on time with out incident :O)
    I ate a banana for breakfast on my drive to work and then my homemade bread with hummus once I got to work. Left over beef and Broccoli with cous cous for lunch (and my co-worker took off today so she missed out!).
    Going to go fill up my water and take my vitamins.

    Hi girls, I'm really sorry I haven't posted much. I've caught whatever this bug that the kids have is and it's knocked me for six. I'm still doing a little bit of exercise and following my diet etc but I really don't feel very well at all... Plus today I had a massive argument with my DH over something he said that I found hurtful (it was about me and said to the kids). So all in all I'm in a horrible grump today!

    I promise I will be back tomorrow and do a more personal post though (unless I'm literally dying!)... I hope you're all doing well though, you all seem to be doing so brilliantly. I can't believe how great our team has done this first week - long may it continue!!!

    Sarah - that sucks, both being sick and fighting with DH, hope all is well now tho! I hate being sick with just one DD to care for, I cannot imagine having 7. You must be superwoman!

    Hope you feel better soon!

    Kim are you drinking the premade shakes? Could you try the powder you mix yourself and use a lactose free milk?

    Hi ladies ! Soo im a little down im at the dr office anddddd my pressure is a little high and i still weigh the same havent even dropped one pound . Im feeling really discouraged ughhh

    Don't worry Tasha, just keep with it, remeber you need to eat enough or your body will store everything. You signed up for myfitnesspal? Add me - CrysRee31 (and I'm in Canada remember when you search!) It's been a long hard haul for me too, I lost a bunch of weight when I was sick a few months ago but otherwise it's been a constant struggle. Seems the only time I can really loose is when I'm sick, pregnant or on birthcontrol...

    Tasha!! Don't give up hope! There are 100 reasons why that d@mn scale didn't move. >:O( Evil thing! But, the time of day you were weighed, if you ate something salty the night before, and building muscle from working out. I know your at the start of your cycle so you are probably bloated and retaining water. My mom has always battled her weight and one thing her body does is lose a few lbs and then stay the same for about a week before more comes off. During that week while her metabolism is adjusting, she just about gives up hope. Don't give up!!! (((hugs)))

    Kim, glad you found me on fitnesspal. I thought that was you. Have you ever tried Lactaid? It's a milk with the lactose free milk and it is DELISH! I BFed Seth and he had a lactose intolerance as a newborn so I had to drink that. My whole family loved it.

    Deirdre, that is exactly how my first bread I made came out. Yummy.... but heavy! I think the birds are a bit of it. If you make another and have the same issue I would recommend the vital wheat gluten.

    Crystal, so your bellyfit, is it a DVD or a local program like at the gym? I'm curious about it.

    Sarah, I really hope your day turned out better. It really stinks when your sick . And men can really be donkeys sometimes.... I know mine can! Hoping he came to his senses.

    AFM, food was on target today! Yeah! I know I like to eat more calories for diner so I watched my intake early on and it paid off. NOW I just need to do that pilates tonight! Ugh! I wanted to during Seth's nap but he never took one. Boo. At least I got a ton of housework done.

    Sarah Jean- I am sorry your DH was being a butt. Sometimes men don't think. Okay... well sometimes they do, but sometimes they don't. Sorry you aren't feeling well, hope it leaves you quickly.

    Marie.... thumb typing. On your phone, yes? I hate when that happens! Good job with your eating!

    Crystal- yes the pre-made shakes. I could switch to the powder, but I know that would mean I would never drink them. I hate the idea of any kind of milk and I probably wouldn't even have tried these if I had. But now that I started them, I promised I would stick to it for a week and see how I felt. I literally have not drank milk since I was like 13. I drink water all the time, and on the weekend, I have one Diet Coke per day. Okay... okay... and possibly some mimosa's, or cherry vodka in my coke. Man, I bet those have calories... no more of that. I want my food points. lol.

    Tasha- don't get discouraged. Our weight can fluctuate like crazy for no reasons at all... you will succeed. (And so will you Crystal!) Add me too Tasha!


    AFM- Failed to exercise today. Spent 12 hours total taking my last 2 finals for my Bachelors Degree. WOOHOO. Now I have one 5 page paper standing in my way and that is it, I will be a graduate!!!!
