Thank you ladies so much for your input!

When I went for my ob appt I was 4cm 100% effaced. Baby is still facing up but my ob feels she will move and my labor will go on as normal and if not I might push longer. She said they will not force a c-section on me unless something is wrong with baby or that I try and push for so long I get tired and can't do it anymore.

I am still going ahead with the induction Friday morning, all she will be doing is breaking my water. Once my water breaks my body will do what it is supposed to do!

I will keep everyone updated on how she came out!

My last was sunny side up when my labor started. I had 4 days of back labor and he was so high! He just couldn't drop because his head just hit my tailbone. And because he wasn't against my cervix, I was not dilating. So I endured 4 days of labor--strong, painful contractions every 5 minutes for most of that time, with a few hour or so breaks here and there. Finally a nurse said--go home and labor leaning over on a birth ball or on hands and knees in a bath. Within 2 or 3 hours he turned and then labor came on even more intense. We left for the hospital immediately and by the time I got there, I had gone from 1 when they checked me last to 7 cm. He just had to turn so he could drop. When they checked me, they accidentally broke my water because he was so low so fast. But I had been told if i was induced when he was so high and posterior, I would likely end up with a c/s, so going home and trying to get him to turn was the best thing I did, I think. Though you are farther dilated and effaced than I was. So it could probably work out just fine if she'll turn for you in labor.

Good luck. I'm curious why they want to induce on Friday. Is there a problem with the baby? I ask because full term goes from anywhere between 3 weeks before the due date till 2 weeks after, and you haven't even hit your due date yet. Just remember that once they break your water, the clock starts ticking, and if the baby isn't born naturally within 24 hours, that's it.
