Aw it's so good to catch up with you all!

I wish more of the old girls would come out of the woodwork! I've noticed a few larger family Mums around the site who don't appear to be here, so I might "not so" subtly start dropping hints that we're here! :P

So what's everyone got planned for the weekend?

Sarahsunshine's brother is working in Haiti this month. I'm hoping to get photos from his team and start blogging for him over at Haiti Dreams. Haiti Dreams! | Deserve Your Dream. Octavio Paz
Apart from that, DH is sick for the 4th week now, so I am also nursemaid.... putting ear drops in at appropriate times. Then there are meals and the usual stuff.
I occasionally hear from Asha. You remember her?

I had a church youth meeting this morning, it was nice. Then my nine yr old had a basketball game. My hubs is taking the older two to a movie toady with another dad and kids. I am planning on a nap any minute and then do something with the little boys while he is gone. Think they will be excited about cleaning house? Ll,

We had beautiful warm weather this past weekend... All the way up to 7C (44f). We had some friends come stay for the weekend. They helped with the kdis while we cleaned up a whole bunch, but it was fun because of the weather. We took about 4" of ice and snow off the front driveway and sidewalk (More in places). Then Dh chovelled off the back deck (had about 1-2' of snow - yes feet!). We burned up the 3 christmas trees and roasted marshmallows on them (DH picked up a few for free the day before Christmas and decorated the front yard with trees and lights). The kids loved the fire and playing outside in the warm weather. DH picked up a month's worth of dog poop. I sorted clothes, and more clothes, and more clothes into boxes which will hopefully decrease the number of clothes around, and therefore the amount of unclaimed laundry... I sorted more clothes... I can't figure out how we have so many clothes!!! I even made a huge garbage bag of clothes, and a cardboard box of clothes and toys, for our friends who frequently take such things out to a reserve that they help out with (he is native, and has many friends there, helps with youth, and she teaches important skills like budgeting, mending, and eating healthy). She even took an old diaper out to show some of the women how to make cloth diapers and 'moon rags', after calculating how much the average woman spends on diapers and sanitary products each year.

That was Saturday. Sunday DH took a load of stuff to the dump, we loaded some other good stuff in our trailer, and we took it out to our land. The house is looking a little less cluttered, and though it doesn't look it, it is WAY more organized!

Then Saturday afternoon we went to our land (It's been a long time but it was nice for the kids to run around, to see our friend who lives out there, and just be out of the city for a few hours). We had a hot chocolate party, planned a little of how we were going to install our wood stove, and then got stuck in the snow as we were leaving (in a 4WD truck). After a little help from our neighbour, we got out, and went to a friend's 50th birthday party.

All that (I'm tired listing it), and I think that Leo has pneumonia... Poor guy has been coughing terribly, and all over himself... Other than that he's haooy and running around. But then, he never slows down even if he's sick.
