Sandra- I laughed about the zits and sudden realization! So you moved? Where do you live now? How do you like your new house, town? How did Ella adjust?
We moved at the end of April last year. I can't believe it's been almost a year. The kids handled it so well - the only sad thing is we moved away from grandparents. We miss our family but really enjoy our new city (Edmonton, Alberta). It is bigger and there is more to do! We may not stay here, but it was a good move for us.
We are in a tight squeeze as far as housing goes! It should be fun when baby arrives this summer. We decided to rent instead of buy when we moved here, and are currently renting the top level of a bi-level. So, we only have the top floor, and there are renters in the basement. It has 3 small-ish bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and then kitchen, living room, and dining room (which we use as the office and toy room) Ella and Eli share bunk beds in one bedroom, and Emerson has his own room - but his room is so small there is no room for a twin bed AND a crib. So new baby will need to stay in a playpen in our room for the first little while. Then we will likely put him in the crib and possibly transfer Emerson to the big kids room - sharing the bottom bunk with Eli! Ella and Eli shared a twin bed for many months before we moved, simply because they wanted to (Eli would just ignore his own bed and climb in with Ella) so I am hoping maybe we can get by like that for 6 months. In May of 2014 we will move again - either just to a bigger house in this city, or try a new city again. It will be a squishy year, but hopefully we will make it!
Wait, so you are in the same city as Sarah??? You two need to meet up and take pics!!!!
Three bedrooms isn't that squished! Kids love sharing bedrooms until they get older. So don't sweat it!
Funny thing about beds, Chloe (7) and Gabby (5) have this beautiful bedroom with new twin beds, but EVERY night they end up sleeping in each others' bed! They just love sleeping together!
