Just checking in

It's been awhile since I have posted, so I just wanted to check in. Isaiah has been home from the hospital for almost 3 months now. He's made so much progress. He's gained 20 lb.! He's now able to sit up and crawl, which is awesome because when he first came home he couldn't even hold his head up. And he's back to school! He's going to a new charter school that has an arts integrated curriculum. Thomas and Cherish are there too. I'm really excited about it. Now that they are back to school, I'm able to go back to work. I'll be sending the two little kids to daycare after school, and Isaiah has a nurse after school. I'm not sure how it's going to work out. I'm wondering if I should just skip daycare and do my work in the evening when Norm's home to watch the kids.

That is just stupendous progress! 20 pounds!!! Amazing.

Personally, if the daycare is a good one, I'd be inclined to send them to give you time for some work and other stuff earlier in the day. Work in the evening takes twice as long to do - and then you are tired already at the start of the following day.

The kids are all gone to school during the day, so I don't need daycare then. My clients are all school age kids, so I have to do some of my work in the afternoon or evening. We decided to save the money on daycare and just wait until Norm gets home to do my home visits. He can come home early occasionally if I need him to.

I'm glad you figured out what will work best for all of you! (Saving money is a good plan of course!) My DH was also able to come home early, or even leave late in the mornings sometimes. That really helps!

WONDERFUL NEWS! - It's great to hear happy updates, especially after things have been so rough for a while. I hope things continue. 20lbs! That's tons! I know - Skyler's gained 16! And the increase in mobility is wonderful.

Give him an extra hug for me!
