Default Just Remember, I wanted 5 kids!!! :)

Well today was the day I heard this news

" Your daughter is going to need braces"

    AHHHH.......................

My 7 year old is going to need braces and in about a year we are going to start them! She needs to loose 2 more baby teeth in the front and let the permanant ones come up and we can start. Our dental will cover 3,500 on every child so really not that bad and we can do payment plans for the rest. But I knew one day it might happen to a couple of them or all of them! But remember I wanted the 5 kids!

My daughter thinks it will be the coolest thing but just wait it won't be!

Oh wow, I wonder what our dentist is going to say next week, my oldest is also 7...I didn't think they started that this young ! I'm still hoping our kids have DH's teeth in that aspect, he never needed braces and has perfectlys straight teeth...that just doesn't happen in my family (and his mom and sister needed braces).

The dentist said they are starting younger and that you don't have to have all your adult teeth to start you need at least the front 6!

I'm waiting for that day. Dh and I both had braces and our oldest DS is definitely going to need them too. He is only 6 and has just started getting his adult teeth, but it is already looking awfully crowded in there!

At least you get a year of warning and yay for a good orthodontic plan!

I'm glad you have a good dental plan! I'm not looking forward to hearing that, either. It seems like almost everyone gets braces now and I'm sure my kids won't be an exception.

My dd is 9, had hers for about 9mo, and was supposed to get the top ones off this month, but some teeth moved back, so they are staying on, and she is thrilled! She seriously loves her braces, changing the bands to fun colors, its like a fashion statement, so maybe you daughter will like hers too. Of course she complains about pain with wire changes and what not, but overall, she LOVES them. lol

I had 4.5yrs of braces and oral surgeries, fake tooth, so much work, I had hoped our kids would get dh's teeth, but I doubt it. Two of my sons have underbites, waiting on the 6yr old to see when the permanent teeth come in if it eliminates it, since it is close. The twins mouths are already crowded, and thats just with baby teeth, so yeah. lol. But our ped dentist is also an orthodontist, and we seriously love him, he is awesome.
