(xp) Please pray for my sister

Wendy and her family. Today is their court hearing to see if she gets her children back. They have been in foster care for 2 years and my sister and her husband have been slowly working on getting them back--doing everything they can. Parenting classes, home management classes, financial counseling, etc. They have slowly gained back some visits--first just supervised visits and finally now to having them home all weekend fri-sun and then another overnight visit mid week. From what I have seen long distance and in the short visits we have had, they are doing so much better in being able to care for their kids, so I hope it works out well for them today.

I'll be praying! It sounds like they have been working really hard to make a home for their kids.

They have a return date of august 14th--I guess unless something goes wrong. It's as close as they have come--the hearing usually turns out with a new hearing date in 3 or 6 months! Thanks for the prayers!

I just realized I said the 14th--i meant the 12th...whatever that friday is

but thanks! she is very excited too--they've been gone for 2 years--since her ds was 9 and her dd was only 3 months old

That sounds like great news. This will bea huge change for everyone. Do they have a conuncellor who can help everyone through the change and with issues coming up? I'm sure the now 11 year old will have all sorts of ways of testing his parents, and they will definitely need an outlet somewhere!
