Costco
Sam's Club
I'm debating on switching membership when my current membership is expired. Here are some of my key interests about each store -
1- crowdedness (does it take as long to check out as it does to fill my grocery cart),
2- price and quality,
3- locations,
4- variety (do they offer several choices, or only a name and store brand choice?),
5- do you feel the membership fee is worth what you pay for (do you feel the 2% back Costco membership gives you 2% of your yearly spending back, do you feel the $100 Sam's membership is worth the early shopping hours and extra coupons?)
6- Staff (are their employees around to help if I need to find an item?)
Thanks everyone!

So I know my MIL prefers sams over costco--and even drives a bit farther out of her way to go there. We don't have a sams club anywhere nearby--closest one is like 30 minutes away, by freeway. And costco is 10 by just roads. So we do costco, but whenever I have gone to sams club with her in Utah, I think it is nicer--less crowded, comparable "stuff", and better prices. But I don't know about any of the other coupons and quality etc. I just know we prefer costco due to location.

We have a Sam's membership and my mom has Costco - so we get the best of both worlds. The one thing I like about Costco is they send you coupons in the mail every month.
