Easter Plans

Just wondering what everyone was doing for Easter. I actually have no idea. I do have all their basket stuff done, but I have no idea if we are going to the IL's or not. Nor do I have any idea if I am doing cupcakes and her present on that day since her actual birthday is the next day.

Well its J's bday on good Friday so I really don't know. If we get better then maybe I'll take him on an easter egg hunt. We don't even have his birthday planned Sad

I hope you all feel better. Don't worry about the birthday plans. I only somewhat know ours. I know we are having cupcakes, we are going to the zoo, we are BBQing, but I have no idea what day. I'm not a party planner.

Cooper's b-day is next Thursday. I don't think we'll do anything big. But Sierra's father agreed to take Sierra on the Good Friday, so first thing Sat. morning we are leaving to go to Williams Lake, which is about a 6 1/2 hr. drive(without kids!) to spend the rest of the weekend with Colin. He thought he was getting Fri-Mon off, but now it's up in the air and may only be Sun. Oh well. It'll probably take me about 8+ hrs. to get there anyways.

I guess the Easter Bunny will be following us up there. I don't really have anything for Sierra, I have a couple things for Cooper that were bought maybe Easter, maybe b-day. We sold Purdy's chocolates(ohhhh sooooo good!!) through the school, so I bought a bunch, it comes in tomorrow.

I suppose I should get on it.

I hate it when I hit the wrong button. Anyway.....

That's why I love the $ store. It's cheap and quick. I bought all 4 kids basket full of stuff (yes I still give my 18 yo a basket) plus candy for $30.

Church in the morning, will probably hide eggs for Benjamin (plastic probably?) later in the day. Picked up a coloring book for his basket because it had ducks on it, and he loooves ducks. Mostly we just color on pieces of paper bag right now; a coloring book will be a major upgrade for him. Biggrin

There is a local Easter egg hunt that had an area specifically fortoddlers so kaelan will go to that in the morning. We will likely spend it with the ILs for dinner since Easter is a big deal to them and I doubt my parent's well realize what day it is, lol.

I am trying to figure out something to get the kids for their baskets. I don't want them getting candy/chocolate and we already have so many toys.

Having a baby! I am scheduled to be induced either Tuesday night, Wednesday morning (wish the drs office would call me to let me know). So I will have a 4-5 day old (possibly a bit older if she decides to be a good girl and come on her own), so not doing much of anything. I already have all of my kids baskets done, even one for Emily. They all will get t-shirt or dress in their basket, a book or 2, bubbles, chalk, squirt guns, and other little toys. Also a few pieces of candy, or goldfish crackers for Allyson.

I usually do a summer theme basket with new bathing suits, swim shoes, sandels, beach towel, goggles/sunglasses, water/beach toys, bubbles and chalk. This year my boys do not need new bathing suits though. They get maybe 5 pieces of candy max from me, grandparents give them HUGE candy baskets which annoys me Lol

I have to travel for work; Memphis. So, the kids and Craig are coming along for a portion of it. We are driving to Memphis on 4/21 and then Craig and the kids will drive home probably Wednesday night (4/27).

We looked up online, a local church and will be taking the kids for an egg hunt / carnival thing. We also are bringing along their baskets and eggs to hide in the hotel room. We already let them decorate colored eggs at home (did that on Tuesday night).

We filled each basket with a coloring book, a reading book, a DVD (good for the car ride home!), side walk chalk, bubbles, mini Easter puzzle, some candy and a little spinning toy/bunny thing.

The eggs we will hide in the hotel have candy and/or little trinkets. Like bracelet, necklace, ring, finger puppet, little matchbox cars, etc.

We always do a family thing in the park every year. Everyone brings food, we grill some hamburgers and hot dogs and have an Easter egg hunt. Hope the weather is nice this year. The boys have their own baskets from their first year and I just fill them up with tiny portions of candy and other things they like socks, tooth brushes, crackers, little toys. I haven't even started though.
