How is everyone???

So.... How is everyone doing? How are the toddlers? Anyone potty training? Toddler bed wars? Anyone have anything exciting going on? Have any great stories about how your Tot is developing his/her own personality? let's dish ...

Okay over here. Faith has been doing pretty well with potty training. I fully well expect the rest of the day to not go so well since I just typed that though. LOL Somewhat waiting for my 18 yo to move out (he swares up and down he is) so I can give Faith a big girl bed (twin size) in her own room. She had her first UTI the end of last week. I checked out the Speech and Language Board here and realize Faith is doing great is speech so that is awesome. Oh and we are on our last round of doing the autism study she is in (since Dakota is autistic).

PTing has stalled over here. Everytime I ask, he says no to sitting on the potty. I'm not pushing it, after school is done I will try a little harder(since we won't always be going out twice a day)

He has started talking a lot more. He's parroting whatever he hears Smile Thankfully no dirty words yet haha. He says "hockey" so clearly now. And he says "mommy and daddy" instead of mama and dada.

I think the "y" sound at the end of words is quite the novelty right now. Dirty, turkey, mommy, daddy, hockey, party, pretty. Yesterday he held his bowl up and said "cake?" Sierra was getting a piece of b-day cake left over from Cooper's party on Monday.

He is quickly picking up how to drink out of a cup, I give him a small Ikea cup and put about 1/2" of liquid in it, and he isn't spilling much anymore.

He's still in a crib, I don't have any plans to move him until he can climb out of the crib. I figure if it ain't broke..... Smile

That's so great. I love how they surprise you with their words and actions. Braiden says something new everyday and it's just so amazing. He's getting into the 4 word sentences now and it is just amazing to me that his little mind is understanding so much! We are in the stages of potty training. He will go on the potty if you ask him. He loves it. But if he walks around diaperless, he will still poop on the floor instead of the potty. It's strange. He's really growing up so quickly. It's sad and exciting all at the same time. But I love it. Except for those crazy terrible two days. Especially now that the weather is up in the 90's here. He is not thrilled about being hot and sweaty. It's a battle everyday to keep him disciplined. I wish there was some terrible toddler bootcamp or something. I just want to whip him into shape and make him be nice and not yell in stores and what not. That's our biggest challenge lately...
