I Can't Bring Myself To Do It

I can't bring myself to get Faith's haircut. She's 2 1/2 and I haven't even had it trimmed. In fact when anyone brings it up it almost makes my toes curl. I have no idea why. I would NEVER have thought I would get this way about cutting my little girls hair. Maybe when she's 5. LOL

Lol I know how you feel.

I have a wierd thing about scissors and hair, and for the longest time refused to let Sierra get her hair anything but trimmed. Finally I let Colin's mom(she's a hairdresser) take about 6" off, then another 6" a few months later. Last year I let her get near a foot cut off, and last week she had another 4-5" taken off and got bangs.

I can't even watch her get her hair cut, yet I have absolutely no problem taking the clippers to Cooper or Colin. But stay away from me!!!! Hahaha!

I have only trimmed Isla's hair once and it was like a quarter of an inch about a year ago. I don't think I have anything against cutting it per se, but I would be really upset if DH went out and got her a short pixie cut or something. I love her little curls.

I think if DH did something like that I'd have to divorce him. I'm totally kidding of course. I really don't know what it is, but the thought of it really actually makes me anxious.

That was how I felt about Mason's hair lol! We only got him his first haircut about a month before his second birthday. I hated to cut his adorable curls, but he did have a bit of a curly mullet. Biggrin With Isaac I'm completely different, he was born with so much hair and never really lost any of it that he really needs a haircut already.

I'm sure if I had a little girl I might trim it, but theres really not much reason to get a proper haircut at that age.

Sorry it is so hard for you.

I'm not sure why but I don't get why people are attached to hair. I know I am in the minority. Probably because my own grows so incredibly fast that I cut it whenever. When I was a kid I would let it grow down to my butt and then do a short bob. It happened several times so I was never attached to it.

I have trimmed Hailey's hair twice already and she needs another since her "bangs" are well over her eyes when they lay straight down. She had a baby mullet when she was tiny so I trimmed that within a couple of months of her being born. Kaelan got regular haircuts from about 9 months onwards. I would be mad if someone gave her a pixie cut though because I am not a fan of them personally.

I don't get the big attachment to hair either, I mean it does grow back. The only reason I don't like cutting Mason's is that the curls go away when its too short. When it comes to my hair though I cut it off almost as soon as it hits my shoulders, partly because I hate it at that length and partly because once it gets an inch or two past that it seems to stop growing.

I think that might be part of my problem. My hair actually does not grow very fast. In fact what it would take you a year to grow out it would end up taking me 3-4 years if I could ever get it the same length. And there are very few hair styles I can accomplish because my hair is so thin, fine and flat AND I have a horrible hair line. Up until I was in 4th grade I had long hair, but my mom let me cut it which may have been the HUGE mistake right there. Hopefully Faith doesn't fully have my hair. I think it's too early to tell right now since as she gets older and bigger your hair ends up changing.

It definitely changes. Mine was a light brown almost verging on dirty blonde as a toddler. It was thick and had tight ringlets even after several cuts. As I got older (like 5+) it straightened out a lot and became dark brown. It still does the ringlets on occasion when the humidity is just right.
