It's been awhile and question please

Hi Ladies! It's been quite a long time. My DD is Lily from April 16 on the picture siggy and she's a beautiful, wonderful 2 y.o now! Andy, if you read this, I'm very sorry for your recent loss.

So I do have a question - I found out a few weeks ago that I'm preganant again. When I was pregnant with DD 3 years ago I was sick as a dog for 4 months around the clock starting at about 6 weeks. I've been super worried about this pregnancy because I haven't been sick AT ALL. I've had no bleeding but I do get cramps off and on (but not in the last several days), my boobs are really sore and I've been more tired and gassy. I just want reassurrance that two pregnancies can be totally different but both be okay. I don't see the doctor until next Monday and I'm even more nervous now reading about Andy. For those of you who have had more than one, was it very different? or maybe different by gender?

Thanks!

P.s. If I can remember how to post siggies, I'll do one again.

Hi, good to hear from you. Thanks for the well wishes, I have been doing better now that the physical part is over. It helped me a lot that it happened fairly early on. I am disappointed though since I was excited to go through this for the last time.

I'm sure your doubts will linger until you get to see or hear a heartbeat, but know that it is definitely possible for pregnancies to be completely different. Actually, with this last one, I had more nausea than I had with both my others combined so at least in this case, it didn't indicate a healthy pregnancy. I have a couple of friends who felt totally different between different kids. I hope you can get some reassurance soon. Do you know roughly how far along you are?

Congrats!

Thanks Andy. I can't believe you have TWO precious cuties when I just finally decided to try for a 2nd a few months ago! I'm definitely 7 weeks along because I was using kits and know exactly the day of conception. I feel like I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth since I'm actually sort-of complaining about NOT being sick this time. I'll update after my appt on Monday and thanks again!

Hey, it's good to see you. I actually feel significantly better this time around than I did at this point in my pregnancy with Vivien. I'm in the same boat as you are, though--I don't go to the doctor until Tuesday, so I can't really provide any reassurance. Andy's loss really hit home for me, too, but I guess it's out of our control. I'm just trying to keep in mind that it's not in my hands and whatever happens, I will be OK.

I found the second time around that all my early symptoms were way less severe. I wasn't quite as fatigued as I was the first time (although I was still pretty tired because I was dealing with Mason) I wasn't nearly as nauseous and what little nausea I did have didn't last as long. For some reason last time I had it in my mind that I was going to m/c, I don't know why I just refused to believe that the pg would stick, I think I was 16 weeks before I actually got it into my head that I was in fact going to have another baby lol.

I hope your body I just responding more kindly to pregnancy this time and that everything goes smoothly for the rest of it Biggrin

Welcome back! We'd love to see some pics of Lily (hint, hint!)

When I was pg with Sierra, I was sick like clockwork from week 5 to week 12. Every day, same time(morning). With Cooper I didn't throw up once, but I did have some bleeding early on which I never had with her.

Labour/deliveries were pretty much the same. Quick. Lol Smile

Welcome back! I have heard that pregnancies can differ wildly and it's really not a sign of whether the pg is healthy or not. I hope you get some piece of mind on Monday! And Congrats, of course!

I was sicker than a dog with Kendall -- the entire pregnancy! Even ended up hospitalized for it. I was also sent for an early ultrasound with Kendall because of bleeding. With my Son, I can count on one hand the number of times I was sick and never had any bleeding issues -- so totally different!!

Good Luck!

Well I had my first u/s today and the good news is that there is a baby and heartbeat (105) but the bad/weird news is that it measured only 5w3d and I'm pretty positive of my dates because I was using an ovulation kit. By the date of ovulation I should be 7w3d (a full 2 weeks further along). If the kit was wrong and I actually didn't get pregnant until around 3 weeks ago (to make the measurement work) that would mean I got a BFP only 3-4 days after I conceived! So, right now my doc made me take a blood test to check my progesterone levels (I won't know until tomorrow) and I have another u/s next Monday. Obviously I'm worried Sad

On the bright side (I guess), I've started to get m/s now the last 3 afternoons. Anyone else have an u/s that just didn't match your dates at all???

Yes! With my DS -- I'm positive of when I conceived! I was using a fertility monitor, temping and keeping track of DTD. Went in for a 12 week U/S screening test and they told me I was measuring wrong -- the tech even had the doctor/specialist come in and measure. They ended up calling my regular OB and moved my due date -- only to move it back later on! Ugh -- sometimes the doctors really should just listen to us!!:)

Well I'm glad that there is a baby in there with a healthy heart beat. I'm sorry the rest is so up in the air, that is strange about the timing. I do know that depending on the quality of the u/s machine, they can be up to a week off so that would put you in between your own EDD and the doctor's one.

I really hope your numbers are looking good with the progesterone and that the rest of the pregnancy is all smooth sailing. Thanks for updating us.

Well it has to be somewhat reassuring that you heard a healthy heartbeat. I hope the next few appts ease your mind. KUP

Yep my first pregnancy I had hypermesis. I actually felt okay, I just could keep anything down. Dakota and Eli I never got sick not even once. My only symptom was being tired. Oh and with Dakota I had acne (minor). Faith I felt like garbage the entire time. It is totally normal to have completely different symptoms during pregnancy. It's actually why some ladies think they are having the opposite gender. And with Eli they told me I conceived 2 weeks later. I don't think it was possible because my pregnancy test was BRIGHT positive 7 DPO. Although I've been induced twice, my oldest I went one day past my due date and I KNOW all the others would have been late. So Eli would have been born 6 days late by my calculations which made my dates to me even more obvious that I was correct. Hope that helps. Congrats on the new LO.
