Naps?? (Or The Lack Thereof)

So, right now Cooper is in his room whining. I put him down 45 mins. ago, and went back in 20 mins. ago and laid him down again. If he doesn't fall asleep within an hour, I usually just go get him back up.

If he doesn't fall asleep, which I have a sneaky feeling he won't, then this will be the 4th day this week(since last Friday) that he hasn't had a nap. It doesn't seem to phase him in the least, he just keeps going until his usual bedtime of 8:45 or so.

[Whiny part] I don't want him to give up his nap. I'm not ready for that. I need a break still. Heck sometimes I need to have a nap too.

How are your LOs napping these days?

Is he teething? Faith went through this a while back and it turned out she was teething. She's doing better. I don't blame you for not wanting to give up naps yet. They still need them at this point. Hopefully it's just a phase.

I'm sorry Cooper has decided to skip his naps, I'd cry if Mason did that lol.

Mason still naps, usually a solid 2 hours every day. He whines and cries a bit these days when I put him down, he doesn't want to miss anything, but he's usually out within 10 mins.

I hope Cooper is just going through a phase or something, and goes back to napping ASAP!

This is one thing I am thankful for....Randy still naps a good 2+ hours. I don't know what could be causing him not to. I hope that he gets back on track for you soon.

What do you mean by whine? If he isn't super upset I would stick with an hour of quiet time in his crib/bed anyway. Many young kids in daycare are expected to do this during the communal nap time anyway. Hopefully it is just teething or something and he will be back to napping well soon.

How many teeth are they "supposed" to have now? He has 16. He hasn't had any of his usual teething symptoms, like runny poop, or red cheeks, or a diaper rash.

I guess he was alternating between whiny crying and yelling really loud "MA! MA!" and when I went in there he was standing up and had thrown everything out of the crib.

I did give him an hour in there before I let him out, and it certainly wasn't quiet LOL!

He's been so good, going down after we get home from school, and I get him up around 5 or a little after. It's been working so well!

Okay if he only has 16 I bet he's teething. They get 4 more teeth at about 2 years old (aka 2 year molars). For a total of 20 teeth. They also may not have the same symptoms they use to have for teething. I know Faith didn't. Mainly she won't nap well and her eating is horrible. And I didn't realize that's what it was until one started to poke through.

Napping is good, eating is off over here. Benjamin's definitely been working on some molars as well for the last several days.

Yesterday he slept for about an hour. Then apparently my mom had him outside for like 3 hours last night, and she said he was asleep practically before she left the room last night lol. Oh well.

I guess I'll just take the naps when I get them, and suffer when I don't haha!

Yesterday it was gorgeous out when we got back from school, I had left him at my mom's when I picked Sierra up, and when I came home the neighbor kids came over and they were all having such a good time playing outside that I just let him be. He is like the Energizer bunny, he just keeps going and going.

Mom kept him when I went to ball practice. Later on I put his jammies, and I was just tidying up a bit while he was sitting on the couch. I look over and he's crashed LOL! Into bed you go. That was 9 p.m.

Napping is actually still going good here, J usually naps about 2-3 hours and will do it whenever which I like Smile I'm really not looking forward to the day when he stops!
