Potty Updates??

How's everyone doing with the potty?

Cooper went on the potty for the first time back in May. Then he went again last week. Then last night before his bath. Smile

Then tonight he took off his poopy diaper and came and told me it was poopy, and then told me peepee. So I wiped him off and he went and sat on the potty. And he peed! I hadn't put a diaper back on him, and he said again about a half hour later peepee, and he peed again.

It's been a fairly good couple of nights around here. Now if I could just get him to sit on the potty at other times of the day!

We sit Isla on the potty after dinner and she was staying dry and then peeing as soon as we put her on the potty. However, the last couple of day she has been peeing in her diaper before we get to the potty and not going on the potty. She has pooped in the potty a couple of times. We are going to up the stakes this weekend and start putting her on the potty every 30 minutes and using underwear/pull-ups. She is starting preschool next month and I would like her to be further along in her potty training by then

Sounds like you are off to a good start with Cooper Smile

We are considering Faith daytime potty trained. She has about 1 accident a week, but that is about it. And those are usually when she is tired or has been playing outside and is "too busy" to come in and go. I keep putting her in disposable training pants if we are going on longer trips, but she's always dry when we reach our destination. And at naps and night time she is staying dry a lot. Not all the time, but enough to make me excited that I might be done potty training all of my children soon. For now I'm just excited she's daytime training anyway.

Cooper has been doing so well! We still aren't super consistent(sooooo my fault) but usually in the afternoon I let him go bare bummed and he does pretty good.

Last night he pooped in the potty for the first time!!! That was a big step forward Smile

He thinks it's hilarious when he toots. Actually when anyone toots. He just laughs and laughs  boys.

Brooke is in pull-ups & goes on the potty maybe 2-3 times a day. She was pooping some on there, but hasn't in a while. I'm not pushing it too hard with her, but sometimes I ask & sometimes she decides to go on her own. She starts MDO in September, and I think she will train easily then, since it seems to help when she sees others doing it. I helped out with her VBS class in June, and she did really well that week, since some of the other kids were PTed.

No progress here at all, but DH has 3 weeks off later this month so when he is on vacation I think we'll initiate a bit of a potty boot camp.

Vivien is doing absolutely wonderfully with daytime potty training for PEE. In fact, she is wearing underwear all day right now, except for naptimes.

HOWEVER, she is having major issues with poop. She has started "holding it" and making herself very constipated, rather than going in her underwear or in the potty. She will poop in a diaper (if she can--a couple of days she has been very uncomfortable and crying with constipation). I've been giving her a stool softener. I'm kind of at a loss for what to do--we've tried not to put a lot of pressure on her--frankly, I'm more worried about her holding it than her pooping in her underwear.

This is exactly where Isla is. And I hope that school in a couple of weeks will really motivate her. We are careful not to push too hard too.

WTG Viv! And also poor Viv, Sad that has got to be uncomfortable. I wonder what it is about pooping in the potty that she is avoiding. I hope that it works out for her soon!
